06/07/2025: Superb dining experience from the warm Italian welcome to the sublime desserts and complimentary post dinner drink. Good choice of dishes on the menu, wide range of quality wines at a very affordable price. Also opportunity to watch food being prepared in kitchen via tv monitor (if interested). Highly Recommended

24/06/2025: Highly recommended. Starter, main course, and dessert were all very good. We spontaneously got a table for two on a Tuesday evening without a reservation. A glass of Prosecco with focaccia was served beforehand, followed by a limoncello to finish. Great ambiance, food, and service.

28/06/2025: After visiting the Grotta del Vento I looked for a restaurant for lunch in the AIC circuit: simple but very abundant dishes and working-class lunch prices, also gluten-free; the family atmosphere completes the menu proposal and the place is always full!

21/06/2025: The food was excellent, with pasta, cold cuts, cheese, and 10-star pizzas. We'll definitely be back. A Spanish family on a tour of Tuscany.

18/06/2025: Great food. We had a variety of pizzas and spaghetti carbonara at a great price. We were there spontaneously with eight people. They rearranged the place, made room, and did it all with a smile. Highly recommended.

26/06/2025: A true Italian pizzeria. We were lucky and the pizza of the month (June) was Riccotta, zucchini flower, zucchini, fior di latte mozzarella, and lemon zest… But we tried four, and all four were fantastic. Different types of beer a la pina and excellent Prosecco. The staff speaks English as well as Italian. My family and I were the only tourists in the restaurant. The price-performance ratio couldn't be better ♥️

30/06/2025: We went to visit the town of Barga, wonderful. We were 2 couples, one Roman and the other Florentine, near closing time, we ate very well, excellent welcome, good price. The ladies of the place were very kind and if we happen to be in those parts we will gladly stop. We highly recommend it. Thanks

01/07/2025: The most delicious meal we had in the local area over our 2 weeks. The food was fresh and delicious- the pasta was homemade and cooked to perfection! All the sides were tasty too- couldn’t recommend enough! And a lovely location just inside the old town

20/06/2025: I stayed here for 5 days for a conference. This hotel claims to be an upscale hotel but it's not. First they gave me a room in the square above the art workshop, which means I had to drag my heavy suitcase above tiny narrow stone steps multiple times. There was no elevator and the stairs were so narrow that I had to go sideways. Next the walls are paper-thin. The person in the room next to me was having a normal conversation and I could hear everything. The windows don't have any shades and you can't close the shutter. Which means I was kept awake all night due to the light coming from the light bulbs outside. I could also hear any conversation that was happening on the square as the windows are single panel and filter no sounds. Also it was super hot and humid in June when I stayed here. So everyday I would sweat through 2-3 pairs of clothing. However they had no laundry service for the week I was there. I had to resort to washing my clothes in the sink with water and drying them over the shower. Lastly the place is super remote which might be a plus for some people. However, when my flight from Florence was canceled I couldn't book something immediately because I had to figure out the logistics of going anywhere from this hotel. So if you like your creature comforts, and get a good night's sleep, I will not recommend this hotel.

01/07/2025: Alpino is a great place to hang out with the locals and enjoy great coffee and pastries. Morning and night, the place is full of visitors and locals. A great way to blend in and feel like a local.

02/07/2025: If you are ever in the quaint town Barga, stop off here at this local spot. It’s a combination of a market, a bar, and a place to eat food. They have pasta (obviously), but other items too. I ate the Caprese salad and my husband had the hamburger (he said it was delicious).

22/02/2025: Il locale perfetto, dal cibo di qualità al personale simpatico e accogliente! Posto che ricorda la lontana madre patria Livorno e la nuova e rivoluzionaria Messina. Clima top con un mix letale di mare e lago. Acqua dolce e acqua salta, Mina e Celentano…passate al più presto da questo posto, voto diesci! Meriterebbe la stella michelin

10/01/2025: Se encontró con este restaurante cerca de la cabina telefónica roja y la bandera escocesa en la entrada de la ciudad, sobre todo porque ningún otro lugar estaba abierto hoy. Mi plato de risotto de mariscos era fabuloso, el servicio era relajado y amable y un ambiente encantador. Muy recomendable.
