01/08/2025: Unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. We shared two mixed appetizers for a table of four, which were overpriced for the offerings, given the single thin slice of tuna, a 20g of sautéed fish, a dozen mussels (COLD), and very little else. For the first course, the tagliolini with baby octopus sauce was good, but the other three dishes weren't up to par... pasta with sea urchins and coconut milk (very flavorful ingredients) that tasted like plain pasta, completely tasteless; cocoa ravioli with a good filling, but the sauce had the same problem of being flavorless... unfortunately, truly disappointing. I'd go back to the basics of seafood... I approve of experimentation, but when done well (and then pairing a menu with mango, coconut milk, etc.) with the motto "fish trattoria, typical Elban cuisine" is a bit out of place... great potential, but for now, it's a big no. P.S.: Second star for Daniele, the waiter who welcomed us... a true professional, perfect friendliness and conviviality.

01/08/2025: A small, charming terrace, a stunning view, and an intimate setting for up to four people. Strictly fresh, top-quality fish, all topped off by the friendliness, courtesy, and great professionalism of the manager, who makes you feel at home. And last but not least, the price...among the most honest in all of Italy. A true guarantee of quality and value for money. WELL DONE!

07/08/2025: The place is beautiful, on the beach... I even saw a cormorant... The food is delicious The staff is incredibly kind What more could you ask for?! The gluten-free food is so good it seems like regular food, but I can confirm it's gluten-free 😁 I didn't get to take pictures of the whole plates... only the empty ones, honestly... 😁. Too good to wait. I don't know what I liked best, but if you're unsure about dessert, I recommend the chocolate cheesecake... Hmm... 😋

04/08/2025: Wonderful restaurant on Straccoligno beach. Its seafood specialties make it one of the best restaurants on the island for quality and ambiance. Exceptional clam starters and high-quality fresh grilled fish. I recommend the desserts. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

02/06/2025: Wir schlenderten durch die Gassen Capoliveris um lecker Essen zu gehen. Als wir das Interieur des Vicolp d’Oro gesehen haben hat es uns so gut gefallen, dass wir gleich dort geblieben sind. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

18/07/2025: The food was delicious! The menu was more sophisticated and featured unique dishes than other restaurants in the area, which I appreciated. It's located downtown but on a very quiet street, which is remarkable given the chaos of crowded summer evenings.

30/07/2025: I went for the first time with my friends. The location was very beautiful despite not having a sea view. We ate well. The fried fish was perfect, the beef on a parmesan cream was excellent, and so much more. The wine cellar was well-stocked. The owners were very kind and welcoming, as was their son, with whom we chatted a bit at the table. Unfortunately, there was one thing I really didn't like, and I'm sorry to even point it out. The young man who initially came to describe the menu and take our order was a little unprofessional. I'd even say he bordered on rudeness. Strangely enough. We interrupted him while he was "on his high horse" describing the dishes, and he was visibly annoyed by these interruptions, with phrases like, "I was getting there, if you give me time to speak," and other unprofessional remarks. Anyway, I had a good time and will return, but I hope I'm not served by that waiter, whom I would advise to get off his high horse; he still has a long way to go.

29/07/2025: Beautiful view and delicious food! We popped in here on spec, but unfortunately, that wasn't an option; we couldn't get in until three days later. It was more than worth the wait; we had a wonderful meal. Truly unique dishes, beautifully prepared. The puff pastry and eggplant appetizer was truly delicious; highly recommended! The desserts were also exceptionally good; I highly recommend both the apple crumble and the brownie. Finally, it's also nice that they have their own parking lot.

13/06/2025: Posto incredibilmente affascinante . una strada sterrata contornata da ulivi ti conduce a questo bucolico ristorante immerso nella campagna di Lacona. Il nome della via e' un poema: "via dei vigneti". Personale gentile . La proprietaria una signora deliziosa. Ottima cena all'aperto, con sottofondo di musiche rilassanti e canti in "diretta "di vari uccellini. Cenato egregiamente con piatti soprattutto a base di pesce. Prezzo? antipasti 15, primi simile , secondi da 15 a 22 euro Una serata in un luogo incantato. Provare per credere.

03/08/2025: A lovely, quiet place, professional and organized service, fair prices, and above all, delicious, carefully prepared dishes made with quality ingredients and expertly cooked. Simple dishes, but with a lot of thought behind them. In short, not your typical tourist spot! Highly recommended.

28/07/2025: We visited this restaurant last night in the center of Capoliveri. We had made a reservation, and the owner and the very friendly waiters greeted us. The fish was fresh, plated, and cooked beautifully. My only complaint, if I may say so, was the lack of attention to cutlery (the appetizers we specifically requested to share were missing an extra spoon or fork, and a second knife for the main course was missing, as it was taken away after the appetizer). The desserts were also delicious, and the prices were in line with the freshness of the fish and the size of the dishes.

31/07/2025: Francesco runs his fabulous restaurant ALONE. And he does it with BRAVO 👏🏾 We've tasted a few Cacciucco, an Italian seafood stew or soup, nothing can top Francesco's cooking talent. Thank you for taking such good care of us yesterday evening, 30.7.25. Elba island will always remind me of your fantastic cooking and hospitality.

11/06/2025: We had a great stay with a delicious pizza, cool draft wine, and a beer. We chose the Pizza Diavola with extra Gorgonzola. Very crispy and savory. We'll be taking another pizza back to the boat. Highly recommended, as the ambiance is surprisingly simple, but perfectly adequate, and you feel at home. The music and atmosphere is like something from the 1960s/1970s. Expect a longer wait, about 45 minutes, for your order.

31/05/2025: For me, the best place to have dinner or lunch by the sea on the island of Elba. Location, as they say today, fantastic, on the seashore right on the beach: a spectacle. In the evening, there is a tranquility that is priceless. Very nice and helpful staff, we had a nice chat and had a great time. And then delicious pizza! Personally, I have come several times for the reasons above and I have also had other dishes and I have always eaten well! In perfect lunch style by the sea: salads and carpaccio. I recommend coming.

15/07/2025: Excellent food and a strategic location in Capoliveri's main square. The service staff are impeccable and very fast. The portions are generous and the quality of the dishes is excellent. A place I recommend and would return to.
