13/05/2026: I can’t even. This is the best experience ever! Survive has been lack luster all through Italy. But here it was amazing. The food was getting excellent and the view spectacular.

11/05/2026: After hearing good things about it from so many, I finally tried Barbacoda in its new location in Portoferraio. It's a solid choice for meat lovers and, in my opinion, also offers a unique twist on the island's many seafood restaurants (which are often excellent, mind you). The real strength is probably the selection of steaks: special breeds, even niche ones, from various origins, and offered in medium-large cuts—priced by the kilo. It's the kind of place you come for precisely this. The rest of the menu, from what we tried, also follows the same pattern: first and second courses (all meat-based) are plentiful, carefully crafted, and well-executed. We didn't order appetizers, but reading the menu looked interesting and not banal. The prices aren't exactly low, but in my opinion, they're consistent with the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience. The wine selection is also noteworthy, with the option of purchasing large glasses with Coravin—a rather rare thing on Elba. The selection of dessert wines and sweets is also good. The location is very convenient, close to the port, and the interior is well-appointed, with original details and even a small selection of gourmet products for sale. Finally, a mention of the fact that, while it's obviously not a restaurant I'd recommend to a vegetarian, they were helpful and flexible in adapting a dish for a woman in the group with that requirement.

03/07/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Rosa dei Venti. The hostess is incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can sense the great care taken in everything. The fish was incredibly fresh and excellent, as were the garden produce, which conveyed a true sense of authenticity, freshness, and quality. A very pleasant, simple, and authentic experience. Highly recommended!

22/10/2025: One afternoon, while leaving Marina di Campo airport for Sant'Ilario, I stumbled upon this lovely place—actually, two places to eat, and one to drink. We stopped to try their pinsa. I ordered five strips, two with potatoes and the others with vegetables. As I tasted them, I noticed that the pasta was good and the ingredients were excellent, so everything was fine, except for the portions, which are a bit small for the price—€27 for five strips—and lack a good quality-price ratio. I'm not the only one to notice this; if a pan that would normally yield eight strips were to yield seven, each strip would be a centimeter wider, which at a glance helps to better understand the quantity. In any case, you can sense their commitment to using quality ingredients and their commitment to their customers.

18/11/2025: Beautiful campsite almost by the sea, just a few minutes away, depending on your pitch location. Everything a camper could need is there: a small, well-stocked shop, a large pool, a children's playground/entertainment, a spa area, etc. Dogs are welcome, there's even a dog shower. We arrived unannounced, and it was very busy at the beginning of September, but they did everything they could to find us a suitable spot (we were traveling in a VW campervan). Fantastic, and thank you so much!

16/11/2025: We had a fantastic time at the Camping Lodge in September. The view was breathtaking! The service at the campsite and restaurant was very friendly. The small wellness area was perfect for cooler days. We felt right at home ;) PS: Another shout-out to the cheerful bike rental guy – great job!

11/06/2026: I can't confirm that at all. I waited forever for two Aperol Spritzes and an espresso. And then it was the worst Aperol Spritz we had on the island... lots of ice, nothing in it, small glass.

09/06/2026: This is our favorite place! It offers an unforgettable atmosphere, delicious food (at a great price), and a huge selection of alcoholic drinks and cocktails! And the best part is the quality of service! Even the most expensive European restaurant would be envious! They listen to you instantly, always see you, and know what to offer. We chose this bar by chance and became regulars throughout our vacation. Thank you, Cristian, Miw, Yamil, and LIli, for wonderful evenings! You are the best! We haven't experienced such impeccable service in a long time! We highly recommend it!
