We started chatting, and I discovered that Mr. Eugenio is a huge enthusiast and expert not only in spices, but in everything related to fine dining and drinking. An old-fashioned gentleman who runs a shop where you can find everything from spices to wine, top-quality products at an excellent price.

21/06/2025: My experience at this shop in Follonica was very unsatisfactory. I was on vacation and wanted to buy a local wine as a gift. I was directed by the owner to a grappa from 1982. The discounted purchase price (compared to the 179 euros displayed) was 168 euros. I then discovered, through online research, and confirmation from the producing distillery, that the usual market price for this product is around 80 euros. This significant price difference left me with a feeling of great disappointment, as well as embarrassment towards the person receiving the gift.
