28/12/2024: Dinner with friends. The two brothers are in the trade. For the appetizers, in addition to the traditional sausages, they recommended the "chicken liver crostini" revisited as an orange confit paté. The first courses (hand-rolled puff pastry) tagliatelle with guinea fowl and porcini mushrooms, pigeon cappelletti with truffle. For the second courses they served us a perfect cut of beef (evidently tastes are personal), sweet wild boar, venison peposo (evidently without tomato), and a rabbit stuffed with a vegetable omelette. Generous portions and without many frills. House wine (even there it depends on personal tastes - but it accompanied the dishes well), and a relaxed environment.

10/12/2024: 20 of us went to this restaurant perched on the hill of Galiga, a very familiar, quiet and reserved environment, appetizers with excellent cold cuts, a trio of first courses perfect for the place, the very delicate peposo from cerca. Thank you very much to the restaurant staff for the welcome and for the familiarity in which they made us feel. I highly recommend this restaurant.

02/12/2024: At most it could be called focaccia with 2 slices of salami and 1 slice of ham. Truly a place to avoid if you don't want to waste your money and the reality that I still have pain in my stomach from the "pizza" dough. Change the chef guys. Really.

If you go, take the Aconese as a first course, a single dish, a secret recipe and what can I say, we go there mainly to eat this unique delicacy!

03/11/2024: The place is really nice. The town is very cute. The food needless to say, truly crazy fantastic, nice, rough and thick tagliatelle and the crazy rabbit seasoning. All the first courses also seem very good, we only tasted the tagliatelle and ravioli which were very good. Highly recommended. Thank you so much for the nice time you gave us even though we were only there for a short time.

03/01/2025: excellent cuisine, from starter to first course and as always the real Florentine steak... and what about the family pastry chef? the lady made 3 delicious desserts which we divided among the guests. Nowadays in Florence it is difficult to find places with truly typical cuisine, everything for tourists, just travel a few kilometers and it's worth it!!!!!!

31/12/2024: Christmas lunch offered by the company, When we sat down and the glasses had grease marks all over them, we asked the waiter to change them and he didn't want to change them, he brought us others that were almost worse than the ones we had. Booked menu and instead took the order at the table asked halfway through lunch asked for water and wine and brought them to us but very annoyed and answering badly, in the end whoever got up from the table telling us that in simple words we had busted our balls, too bad for all this because the food is excellent.

10/09/2024: We visited in early September and the weather and Podere Il Poggiolo did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived my family felt welcome and we stayed in the Olivo apartment with its own garden and adjoining gate to the stables. Our daughter loved all the animals and the time that Alessandro and Serena took to answer her many questions. Also a special thanks to Maria for taking our daughter to feed the animals including Dante the boar. The Tuscan dinner was amazing as well, and we all left absolutely full. 100% recommend a stay here if your looking for a Tuscan escape.

10/11/2024: I have always ordered takeaway from the Bonaiuti pizzeria. The staff and owner are punctual, precise and very friendly. Maybe I will also come to eat at the pizzeria and I will be able to give an in-depth opinion, but for now I am more than satisfied with the quality of the ingredients they use... they have become the trusted pizzeria.

MENU voto 6: la cucina è più per gli stranieri e i piatti non soddisfanno le aspettative del posto. Come alternativa vegetariana ci sono state servite delle penne al pomodoro completamente scotte. SERVIZIO voto 7: più lenti che veloci. Personale gentile. CONTO voto 5: per i piatti proposti i prezzi sono alti.

20/09/2024: The setting is incredible—a very short drive from Firenze and feels like another world entirely. The service was impeccable and the food was the best we’ve had on our vacation. This is everything I was hoping for and more—a perfect night.
