28/12/2024: Dinner with friends. The two brothers are in the trade. For the appetizers, in addition to the traditional sausages, they recommended the "chicken liver crostini" revisited as an orange confit paté. The first courses (hand-rolled puff pastry) tagliatelle with guinea fowl and porcini mushrooms, pigeon cappelletti with truffle. For the second courses they served us a perfect cut of beef (evidently tastes are personal), sweet wild boar, venison peposo (evidently without tomato), and a rabbit stuffed with a vegetable omelette. Generous portions and without many frills. House wine (even there it depends on personal tastes - but it accompanied the dishes well), and a relaxed environment.

02/12/2024: At most it could be called focaccia with 2 slices of salami and 1 slice of ham. Truly a place to avoid if you don't want to waste your money and the reality that I still have pain in my stomach from the "pizza" dough. Change the chef guys. Really.

09/02/2025: I have been to dinner several times in this restaurant, a typical home-made restaurant, the house specialty is the famous "penne all'Aconese" which is truly excellent. In addition to this you can find quality pizzas and grilled meat.

10/09/2024: We visited in early September and the weather and Podere Il Poggiolo did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived my family felt welcome and we stayed in the Olivo apartment with its own garden and adjoining gate to the stables. Our daughter loved all the animals and the time that Alessandro and Serena took to answer her many questions. Also a special thanks to Maria for taking our daughter to feed the animals including Dante the boar. The Tuscan dinner was amazing as well, and we all left absolutely full. 100% recommend a stay here if your looking for a Tuscan escape.

27/10/2024: Top place. Farmhouse near Florence in a dream place between relaxation and vines. The owner Mr. Mario, a delightful and very competent person, showed us all the vineyards and made us taste the wonderful wines he produces. I hope to return soon

14/12/2024: It is the typical country trattoria where you can eat Tuscan dishes, but not only that. Excellent starters with a good choice of first and second courses. The prices are very honest. Definitely worth returning.
