06/01/2026: At Consuma, a great place for a quick stop. All kinds of schiacciatas and fillings; I recommend the mushroom one, but the others are worth trying, too. The desserts are also excellent. A well-equipped dining room is available for purchase; plates, glasses, and other tableware are available in a cupboard in the dining room. Fair prices.

20/12/2025: I didn't give the ambiance its best rating only because it's a bit noisy for me, as I have some hearing problems. Unfortunately, there's only so much space... For a small trattoria where you eat well and spend a fair amount, you can overlook a few minor inconveniences ;-) The people who welcomed us were extremely kind, attentive, and helpful; and human warmth makes everything better. The menu offers a good selection of traditional dishes; the fresh pasta dishes were very satisfying. The tagliata was excellent; we asked for a customization for the pork loin (addition of dried tomatoes and caramelized onion), which was prepared without any problems and we loved it. Some desserts were sold out, but even the remaining ones were good. A very honest account; these days, it helps me come back more often... it's a shame I live in Montecatini, but I'm happy to come here whenever I get around.

06/12/2025: Trattoria. As it should be, simple, good. I only tried two main courses, but I appreciated both the food and the no-frills atmosphere. Well done. I would perhaps increase the portions slightly.

06/01/2026: Found this restaurant by chance. Yesterday, January 5, 2026, we ate at Francesco's. We arrived at 2:30 pm, and despite the time, they welcomed us and served us with such kindness. 11/01/2026: Schiacciata? Good. Location? Nice! Wood-fired stove, etc. Service? SURREAL. At 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon (a place that serves schiacciata, and it's snack time), he tells us that if we want some food, we'll have to wait "40 minutes, plus a DJ," literally. There's nothing left. Now, seriously? How disorganized do you have to be to find yourself in a situation like this? Obviously, they left. Much to their delight, I might add. Yes, because in addition to being provocatively slow (almost comically), the blonde lady, the undisputed star of the reviews, is truly grumpy. Working with the public is tough, but answering stupid, yet perfectly normal questions in a hasty manner makes me wonder, what are you doing here? Let's go back another time. I order "two pieces of that... Thanks!" "How much?" “Look, ma'am, it's hard to see from here, but you do it, for two people, two pieces… standard.” “Heh, what do I know? It depends on how hungry these two people are?” “Normal, ma'am, you do it, two normal pieces.” (blank paper) “Like this?” (View obstructed by people and shelves) “I can't see, ma'am, you do it, really, two pieces.” “Like this???” BLINDLY “OK!!!” (And I think: LET'S JUST CUT IT AND END THIS RIDICULOUS CONVERSATION.) If it had actually served the purpose of the service, I'd understand, but I assure you it was just a nervous attitude to break empathy, typical of people who are fed up with talking to people anymore and want to make normal things in the rest of the world seem stupid. I used to work in the public sector, I know exactly what I'm talking about... blonde lady with a ponytail, you philosophically accept that "normal piece" means "normal piece" that every bakery in existence makes. There's no need to show such reticence... Good, eh, but even when it's your turn, from the cut to the payment, there's an unreasonable slowness. Maybe we need to adapt for a moment? 🤣 Since business is going so well, it wouldn't take so much to make everyone happy, you... and us!

08/11/2025: Il Quartino - Frescobaldi is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a wonderful wine aperitif while admiring a beautiful view, amidst rolling hills and a majestic vineyard. Not only aperitifs, but also typical local products (cured meats, cheeses, and much more). There's also a great restaurant inside. The young and extremely friendly staff are incredibly helpful. I really admire Mattia's resourcefulness, his attention to detail and the products he offers.

05/11/2025: Beautiful view! Enchanting place. The wooden outdoor tables add a rustic touch and, on sunny days, a sense of well-being, directly overlooking the vast Chianti hills. The menu isn't very varied (it's a wine bar, not a restaurant). The food is okay. But the highlight is the vast selection of top-quality wines. The extra virgin olive oil is also exceptional and worth a bottle.
