12/01/2026: We've been there several times during our Tuscan holidays and have always enjoyed excellent Tuscan specialties. The combination of delicatessen and restaurant creates a unique atmosphere. The service and friendliness are very pleasant. Reservations are recommended as it's very popular. In the summer, you can also sit outside. The fact that so many Italians dine here speaks volumes about the quality. We feel comfortable there and will definitely return, especially since the price-performance ratio is excellent.

The location is truly beautiful, the restaurant serves top-quality dishes with impeccable service, thanks in large part to the maître d', Vittorio, who looked after us with skill and professionalism, recommending the perfect wine and accommodating all our requests.

27/10/2025: I decided to treat my partner to a night with a five-wine tasting for his birthday. The experience was absolutely fantastic! Starting with the location, the villa is tidy, clean, and beautiful. The staff was very kind and always available. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with a breathtaking view of the valley. At the tasting, the sommelier taught us so many things we didn't know and let us savor the Tuscan delicacies, explaining wine after wine. Accompanied by two excellent quality platters. I want to point out that I am celiac, and the entire menu, breakfast, and everything I ate was spectacular! They pay special attention to intolerances and allergies. What more can I say? We'll definitely be back! An excellent location for weddings and events, too.

21/09/2025: Spent 10 days in italy traveling north and south. Went to restaurant after restaurant, all better than the next. Then we found Osteria L'Orciaia, walking in felt like being invited into someones home. Its family run and quite literally the best of all our dining experiences. The family couldnt be more hospitable and the food couldnt have been better. Its the only location we had a meal at twice. When im back in italy, no matter where i land; i will travel here. An absolute 10/10, if you want a true italian experience you found it.

07/02/2026: It's clear that they have a good knowledge of leavened products and pizza; the dough is definitely good. Even the ingredients used, on average, seem to be of good quality; from the tomato to the mozzarella, to the various toppings. Personally, I found the pizzas a bit salty (I'm not sure if it's the dough itself or the mix; I'm talking about the simple Margherita too). Some toppings were a bit sparse for the price. The service is simple but friendly and pleasant; they always try to please the customer. The real sore point, in my opinion, is the prices, which are indeed a bit too high. (Definitely on the round pizzas). If I'm not mistaken, for a round ham and mushrooms, we're talking €11 (which I think is definitely too much; on average, elsewhere, the same flavor is €8-9). I would compensate for this price point with a much more generous topping on top. UPDATE MAY 2025 We ordered a takeout pizza, a peel. Unfortunately, I have to say it was truly awful; as you can see from the photos, the dough was "raw," as if it hadn't risen. Mistakes that simply can't happen. I confirm what I said previously about the quality of the ingredients used, the friendliness of the staff taking the order, and the somewhat high prices. UPDATE FEBRUARY 2026 We ordered a takeout pizza. The dough was very good, just the right thickness and soft/crispy inside and out. It rose well and was cooked well. The three flavors chosen were very good (mortadella, arugula, and pistachio; rigatino, truffle, and porcini; eggplant, scamorza, and pancetta), only the pancetta was a bit too soft/chewy and not crispy or well-cooked, so it wasn't particularly enjoyable. The only flaw we noticed is that there's a strong cooking smell inside, so I guess if you dine inside, your clothes will smell bad when you leave. Anyway, I'm very happy to say that the pizza has improved since my last experiences, which I wouldn't have returned to. I hope it was just a temporary thing, and now they're back to making good pizzas!!! 🙂

31/01/2026: The chef was really kind to me, as I have several food intolerances. He worked hard to find something I could eat and made me a delicious (gluten-free) pizza.

12/01/2026: First visit to this restaurant. Although the restaurant was only occupied by two or three tables on the Saturday after Christmas, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food. The pico with ragu was average, but lukewarm; the chicken diabolo was poorly seasoned and dry; the tagliolini also arrived lukewarm. I complained, but it didn't get much warmer, and the arugula garnish on the plate was very meager. Dessert, a tiramisu, was okay. The bill came to €90, including a liter of wine and water. The service was adequate, but we rarely saw the waitress. Overall, unsatisfactory.

08/12/2025: We felt welcomed, pampered, and delighted by the excellent dishes they prepare. Special thanks to the waiter who pampered us. The carbonated tagliata and cantucci were phenomenal!!

08/11/2025: The bar is located on the right along the road leading to the Colonna del Grillo (Grillo Column) coming from Montevarchi. It's very spacious and also serves pizza. The staff is friendly and the place is very well kept. The outdoor tables are also comfortable.

27/10/2025: Bar Mitico was a pleasant surprise. Well stocked for a quick lunch, with freshly made pizza and truly excellent stuffed schiacciata. It has a comfortable seating area and the staff is courteous and friendly. I'm forced to give it 3 stars due to a misunderstanding on the bill: since there were 8 of us, all the food had been marked down before we paid; even though we were convinced we'd paid for everything, something was missing from the check. Having receipts in hand (each paying for their own), I immediately noticed something missing from my receipt and wanted to double-check with the staff to discuss and understand the errors, perhaps even the missing check. The cashier's response was hasty and unwilling to quickly check with us. To avoid controversy, and given that we were all up early and wanted to get home, we paid for what was missing, but the attitude toward the customer was absolutely unhelpful, as if we were in the wrong from the start. What a shame. I recommend everyone stop by because the food is truly delicious, but it's best to pay the bill right away to avoid any misunderstandings at the end, especially if there are a lot of you.
