18/09/2023: Beautiful location on the Messina seafront, well-kept and well-furnished. We took land appetizers, a very good first course, Messina rolls and desserts. Balanced quality ratio and above all we spent a fun and pleasant evening thanks to the staff members, like Federica. Super recommended!

25/02/2024: Amici mie is a welcoming bistro (20 seats) where you can spend pleasant evenings in the company of friends. The chef, Gabriele Oliva, despite his young age, demonstrates mastery and knowledge in dealing with traditional dishes but also innovative combinations. Personally, I had never tried the squid-chickpea combination and was pleasantly surprised. The manager and I presume also the owner is a histrionic and easy-going gentleman, always able to make the customer smile. Special mention, infinitely appreciated the choice to serve the Moka to our request for coffee. Super recommended.

04/03/2024: Cozy place, excellent food. I came with my dad from Milan and they made us feel like family, simple and wonderful cuisine as well as the place itself.

24/03/2024: Simply terrible! What saddens me most is that in a place like this you end up eating a horrible cut of tuna. Absolutely wrong cooking, I even had doubts about the quality of the fish, given that in some places it had a strange taste. Furthermore, as a side dish, a badly fried artichoke that leaked oil and was cloying on the palate. The appetizer and the service were appreciated but in a quality restaurant you cannot afford to offer dishes like this. Finally, I left the second one and no one bothered to ask why and I honestly felt ashamed for them to point it out. I will not return.

28/02/2024: this is a great restaurant, friendly service + nice atmosphere but the truffle pasta was not al dente. Very hard to chew. The bread was to much on the side for 1 Person. Cute little starter - i think it was a little omelette. But im sure the pasta was an accident. I will definitely go back to try the fish. My italian was sadly to bad to give a friendly feedback :(
