01/01/2026: A truly successful New Year's Eve lunch. I'm vegan, and for the first time, I felt treated with the same attention as everyone else, without feeling "different" or left out. The vegan appetizer was excellent, varied, and very carefully prepared—finally something different from the usual, sad grilled vegetables I'm often served. The commitment and desire to do well were clearly evident. For first courses, I had two: a porcini risotto identical to the others' but vegan, and paccheri with tomato sauce, both delicious and well-executed. This second course was perhaps a little simpler than the others' ravioli, but still good. The second course was another plus: while the others had meat in apple sauce and caramelized onion, I had the same dish but with veggie burgers instead of meat. A smart choice, one that didn't make me feel left out and, above all, different from the usual vegetable side dishes I usually get for my second course. The real surprise was the dessert: not only was it there, but it was also delicious and delicious. Other restaurants often don't even offer vegan desserts, so this was a huge added bonus. I left feeling truly happy and satisfied. I will definitely return, hoping to find the same care, attention, and respect shown today. An experience that truly makes a difference.

01/11/2025: Kindness and good food!! We stumbled upon this wonderful place by chance during our tour of Sicily. The owner welcomed us and invited us to try the aperitif offered for green evening... pizzas, panzerotti, focaccia, arancini, meatballs, and pumpkin rice... What can I say? We had to wash it all down with a bottle of excellent Syrah! Recommended, and congratulations to the owners! We'll be back!

21/10/2025: Beyond 5 stars, I'd also add a "Cum Laude." Because when a place surpasses the top, it deserves to be different. And Bar La Piazzetta is one of them. In the center of the magnificent town of Nicosia, near the cathedral, you'll find this magnificent place where you can taste the best Sicilian delicacies. A very characteristic, welcoming, clean, and tidy place. Delicious pizzas, arancini, and brioche. Classic and innovative aperitifs and cocktails prepared by the fantastic Cristina, who, in addition to being skilled in her craft, will always welcome you with her smile and kindness. Kudos to Alfio (the owner) who has managed to find the perfect combination of location, staff, and products.

25/01/2026: You book, arrive promptly at 1:15 PM, and wait two hours to start eating, while all the other customers who arrived later had already finished. Then that inconvenience when they have to insist on ordering so many appetizers. A high chair requested at the time of booking and upon arrival, never arrived. Pasta with wild boar ragù served lukewarm, on a fake porcelain plate, which was actually made of plastic and completely ruined. The classic house wine was undrinkable. There's a significant lack of empathy and even a basic understanding of customer service. What a shame...

The real plus, however, is the atmosphere: Laura's smile is always there at the bar, along with Massimo's unwavering courtesy, making you feel right at home. Attentive service, a welcoming atmosphere, and consistent quality. Highly recommended!

Mimma welcomed us warmly, acting as our guide and pointing out all the beauty, history, and specialties of the town. And while her chef husband prepared two delicious arancini for us, she kept us company among the countless customers who line up to sample her delicacies. In short, a place to remember and return to, a place we recommend if you ever find yourself passing through.
