01/05/2025: I stayed at the Agriturismo with jezza pension together with my 5 year old daughter. The place is magnificent, surrounded by greenery, olive groves and vineyards. It has a very large lawn for games, events and events with an outdoor theatre. The farm animals, dogs and cats, are very docile and cuddly and attracted all of my daughter's attention. The owner is a very friendly, kind and super helpful person. The chef, the owner's son, was also available and above all delighted us with very appetizing starters and first courses, the second courses with well-grilled high quality meat; I would say the food was excellent. The only flaw was the room available to us which was a little too small with no support for suitcases or personal items and the very cramped shower which I found difficult, but I hope it was the only room so small. The place, as mentioned, magnificent and very large, would need further constant maintenance.

28/04/2025: We received a friendly and warm welcome with 2 motorcycles on April 27th, 2025 in the pre-season, it was nice and quiet and animal-friendly (dogs, cats)....

08/05/2025: I can't understand the negative reviews I read, I went there twice for lunch and both times I ate well. Food not of a high culinary school but cooked well and with the right portions, nice and welcoming location, prices not very high and, a fact not to be overlooked, all filled with the friendliness of the owner and his sister. When I'm in the area I will definitely go back.

29/04/2025: I honestly don't understand why other reviews are raving about this place. The service was awkward and mediocre. I wanted to order a wine, but got told quite rudely she'd take my order for a drink, after I ordered the food. The food was just tragic. Steak tartare was tasty, but the main was an insult to Italian food. The baked potatoes were old and reheated; some were stone cold, some were lucewarm. Some were raw, some were mushy. Really nasty. The "roasted lamb" were 3 small cuts of grilled lamb with bone. Nothing more. The pistachio-crusted steak was an unseasoned piece of meat without the crust. For €28,-!!! The wines were ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. No explanation about them either. For a WINE bar, you'd expect at least some passion about the wines. Don't spend your money here, there are tons of other places that actually have love and passion for their food.

25/04/2025: The pizza oven warmed up the little restaurant so this was a lovely cosy place to eat on a chilly evening. Delicious pizzas with a great service. Go for the Volcano! Not to hot but full of flavour.

27/04/2025: Dopo qualche anno di assenza per la nascita di nostro figlio, siamo tornati allo Shalai. Con mia moglie ci eravamo stati diverse volte, in quanto sia la location, sia la cucina ma sopratutto l'accoglienza sono stati sempre molto graditi. Come sempre abbiamo trascorso una piacevolissima serata, per questo ringrazio il gentilissimo e sempre disponibile Dario...un plauso anche agli altri 2 ragazzi presenti in sala, veramente simpatici e professionali. Una nota di merito va anche al trattamento che hanno riservato a nostro figlio di 3 anni, complimenti. Piatti nuovi e come sempre cucina di alto livello. L'ho sempre consigliato nelle mie recensioni e lo confermo anche in questa occasione. Nonostante la presenza della stella, ti fanno sentire come se fossi a casa. Ci rivedremo presto!!!

04/06/2025: The calzone Bruno was Fantastic, the pizza Gustosa was wonderful, the waiting staff was welcoming and very kind..

19/05/2025: The pizzas are excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the house specialties: the croissant-shaped Bruno calzone and the cannolo-shaped pizza! We ate so well that we came back to try the classic pizzas. The dough is truly delicious. I highly recommend this place; it's worth the detour if you want a good pizza! Thank you, Bruno.

15/10/2024: Essen war ganz ok, gute Pastagerichte, Melanzane toll, Schweinefilet etwas durch. Aber dass das Personal freiwerdende Tisch mit stark riechenden Desinfektionsmitteln reinigt hat den Ess- und Trinkgenuss dann doch stark beeinträchtigt. Davon waren sie auch auf unseren Hinweis nicht abzubringen, scheint also eine Anweisung von oben zu sein.

14/09/2024: Very good food and very friendly staff. Best we ate in Linguaglossa. Bit of a scary walk along the road in the dark from the city center, but definitely worth the walk.

02/06/2025: Rustic outdoor place, inside a pine forest, very characteristic and suggestive. I must say that both the location and the cuisine are particularly interesting. We went for lunch, service a bit slow despite the few seats but the wait is certainly worth it. Fantastic cavatelli with sauce, very good. The tagliatelle with rugò are also very good. The icing on the cake is the barbecue: exceptional!!! Recommended location for those who are passing through or who want to go on purpose. It is also possible to visit the animals that live in the place.

02/06/2025: The place is very welcoming, but speaking of the food... The mixed grill was a disappointment with the meatball being clearly a mass of meat, the only good thing was the pasta and chips, then by continually asking the staff the food arrived after half an hour.

01/06/2025: Excellent location for those who want to visit Etna, halfway between the state road and Piazzale Provenzana which is where you can arrive by car before climbing the volcano (on foot, with guides or with a 4x4 tour). At the refuge you can also sleep or just have a meal, they have simple but good dishes. Very convenient parking next to and in front of the restaurant. Average prices.
