31/05/2025: The best - excellent food and accommodations. Big breakfast. Small private house/cabin with own front porch with expansive views. Will come back.

01/05/2025: I stayed at the Agriturismo with jezza pension together with my 5 year old daughter. The place is magnificent, surrounded by greenery, olive groves and vineyards. It has a very large lawn for games, events and events with an outdoor theatre. The farm animals, dogs and cats, are very docile and cuddly and attracted all of my daughter's attention. The owner is a very friendly, kind and super helpful person. The chef, the owner's son, was also available and above all delighted us with very appetizing starters and first courses, the second courses with well-grilled high quality meat; I would say the food was excellent. The only flaw was the room available to us which was a little too small with no support for suitcases or personal items and the very cramped shower which I found difficult, but I hope it was the only room so small. The place, as mentioned, magnificent and very large, would need further constant maintenance.

27/04/2025: Dopo qualche anno di assenza per la nascita di nostro figlio, siamo tornati allo Shalai. Con mia moglie ci eravamo stati diverse volte, in quanto sia la location, sia la cucina ma sopratutto l'accoglienza sono stati sempre molto graditi. Come sempre abbiamo trascorso una piacevolissima serata, per questo ringrazio il gentilissimo e sempre disponibile Dario...un plauso anche agli altri 2 ragazzi presenti in sala, veramente simpatici e professionali. Una nota di merito va anche al trattamento che hanno riservato a nostro figlio di 3 anni, complimenti. Piatti nuovi e come sempre cucina di alto livello. L'ho sempre consigliato nelle mie recensioni e lo confermo anche in questa occasione. Nonostante la presenza della stella, ti fanno sentire come se fossi a casa. Ci rivedremo presto!!!

15/06/2025: We were passing through and despite it being a Saturday night and without a reservation they found us a place. Very good pizza. Fair prices. We will return if we are in the area.

13/06/2025: Nice experience. Friendly, fast and smells good. Unfortunately inside it is hot and small. Outside there is a lot of coming and going of cars that show off to passersby.

08/05/2025: I can't understand the negative reviews I read, I went there twice for lunch and both times I ate well. Food not of a high culinary school but cooked well and with the right portions, nice and welcoming location, prices not very high and, a fact not to be overlooked, all filled with the friendliness of the owner and his sister. When I'm in the area I will definitely go back.

29/04/2025: I honestly don't understand why other reviews are raving about this place. The service was awkward and mediocre. I wanted to order a wine, but got told quite rudely she'd take my order for a drink, after I ordered the food. The food was just tragic. Steak tartare was tasty, but the main was an insult to Italian food. The baked potatoes were old and reheated; some were stone cold, some were lucewarm. Some were raw, some were mushy. Really nasty. The "roasted lamb" were 3 small cuts of grilled lamb with bone. Nothing more. The pistachio-crusted steak was an unseasoned piece of meat without the crust. For €28,-!!! The wines were ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. No explanation about them either. For a WINE bar, you'd expect at least some passion about the wines. Don't spend your money here, there are tons of other places that actually have love and passion for their food.

03/06/2025: La pizza molto buona , impasto leggero ,condimento fresco e buono, di casa ecco, se volete mangiare una pizza fatta da persone con esperienza , passateci, accolgono in un modo pazzesco, sempre disponibili, c’è da capire che ovviamente, non possono stare sempre addosso ad un solo cliente , dato che vengono molte persone e ci sono molti ordini, tutto buono , prezzo giusto e locale veramente ottimo , anche per la sua catatteristica , a stile anni 70’, consigliato soprattutto , per famiglie e gruppi di amici,(siccome sono nipote del proprietario,con mio padre, abbiamo provato a fare una pietanza , qua la foto)

15/10/2024: Essen war ganz ok, gute Pastagerichte, Melanzane toll, Schweinefilet etwas durch. Aber dass das Personal freiwerdende Tisch mit stark riechenden Desinfektionsmitteln reinigt hat den Ess- und Trinkgenuss dann doch stark beeinträchtigt. Davon waren sie auch auf unseren Hinweis nicht abzubringen, scheint also eine Anweisung von oben zu sein.

14/09/2024: Very good food and very friendly staff. Best we ate in Linguaglossa. Bit of a scary walk along the road in the dark from the city center, but definitely worth the walk.

05/06/2025: Grote porties en zeer goed eten voor een gunstige prijs. Mensen hebben hart en ziel voor de zaak. Barbecue buiten, pizza oven en een biergarten. Een aanrader. Ruime parkeerplaats.

05/06/2025: On holiday in Sicily in the Etna area we wanted to try this place, we were welcomed by the owner and staff in a warm way, excellent wines and very good meat and cheeses, place with excellent finishings perfect evening thanks we will be back soon a hug

02/06/2025: The place is very welcoming, but speaking of the food... The mixed grill was a disappointment with the meatball being clearly a mass of meat, the only good thing was the pasta and chips, then by continually asking the staff the food arrived after half an hour.

29/06/2025: I had made a reservation here based on the reviews. Unfortunately, it was disappointing on all fronts. There is no menu but a QR code. This always makes it less attractive. It is so much fun (I think) to browse through the menu and then put together your own menu if there is no house menu. We shared the dishes. The pasta was very attentively divided over 2 plates but was not al dente (too hard), the sauce had little flavor. The chicken with wild spinach, served on 1 plate but already divided into 2 portions was tasty, the mashed potatoes (not polenta) were bright yellow and that is still not clear to me why. The glass of white wine was mediocre. Ditto the service. We deliberately did not choose dessert but got it elsewhere.

03/06/2025: The best, tastiest tuna I've ever had (so tender it melted in my mouth). Great grilled meat plate my hubby had. Seriously wonderful food. A bit pricey wine by glass, though. A perfect parmigiana of their own style. All in all 5 stars.
