27/08/2024: Locale molto carino pulito e davvero molto accogliente personale gentile e preparato..se volete assaggiare prodotti tipici locali di alta qualità non potete nn fare una tappa qui...abbiamo assaggiato un tagliere misto di salumi formaggi tipici sardi servito con un' ottima presentazione e tutto davvero di qualita' accompagnato il tutto con un ottimo Spritz fatto con prodotti locali...consiglio vivamente prezzo qualità ottimi

WHAT A SHOW... excellent Sardinian products (I'm Sardinian and I can vouch for it), delicious cured meats and cheeses, quality wines and then... BARLEY BEER. If you like quality this is the place for you... if we add the kindness, professionalism and friendliness of the managers (congratulations again)... well do you need to know anything else? Go there for sure...

14/10/2024: I wouldn’t know where to start with this place. First, it’s not Eolo bar, the bar has obviously changed management and kept old name for reasons that became obvious at the end of our visit. A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend and myself went there for an aperitivo as guided by the positive reviews for Eolo bar. Nothing spectacular, but the waitress was friendly and the place was quiet with another 3-4 tables of people. After about an hour it became apparent that the owner wanted to close, he had switched off the music and started closing the bar’s doors and windows so we said we would make a move. My boyfriend went inside to use the toilet (which apparently infuriated the owner) and pay. We were charged for more drinks that what we had bought and when we tried to reason with the owner -ie it’s okay, mistakes happen let’s just call the waitress who served us- he got upset, gave us back the money and told us to “take our tricks elsewhere”, threatening that he would call the police if we didn’t leave immediately. I have never witnessed such aggressive and offensive behaviour in any establishment to date.

12/05/2025: Note to self: volgende keer eerst reviews van anderen bekijken voordat we een restaurant binnen gaan. We kwamen rond 19.00 aan in een volledig leeg restaurant. Na een uurtje wachten op ons eten werden mijn pizza en de kreeft van mijn vriendin gebracht. De verrassing kwam bij het afrekenen. De kreeft kostte geen 20,- zoals op de kaart aangegeven maar 20,- per 100 gram. Er staat in kleine lettertjes geschreven "hg" hetgeen bij navraag hectogram betekent. En omdat onze kreeft 500 g (5 hg) weegt kostte deze 100,-. Toen ik de eigenaar daarop aansprak dreigde hij de politie te bellen. Op mijn verzoek om dat dan maar te doen bleef het stil. Uiteindelijk dan toch maar betaald en de man een fijne avond gewenst. Maar duidelijk een no-go restaurant.

04/10/2024: La nourriture est délicieuse, les poissons sont cuits à merveille. Les plats proposés sont tous aussi bons les uns que les autres. Le personnel est très gentil et accueillant. Nous sommes venus manger 2 fois tellement nous avons étés ravis. A faire absolument !

01/01/2025: All truly terrible. 2 hours to eat just the starter, plus smelly fish. The service and food were really slow. The waiter told us "it takes a lot to make the first courses, they are all different", next time we will ask him to choose for us. We blocked the first courses and asked for the bill, the waiter, a very rude ignorant man, started shouting everything, even saying "throw the plates in his face", fortunately we are polite, civilized and intelligent people and we didn't answer. Thanks, for ruining our day, obviously we won't be returning.
01/01/2025: Nightmare New Year's Eve lunch. The staff and the place were poorly maintained and clean, long waiting times for the dishes. After serving the seafood morsels, flavored with the smell of spoiled fish, we asked them to block the first courses and bring us the bill and there, the waiter approached us with arrogance, threatening to throw the first courses in our faces. Change profession.

10/02/2025: De locatie van het restaurant is perfect echt een schitterend uitzicht echter duurde het 20 minuten voordat het personeel wat ons al een tijd had zien zitten de moeite nam om ons te bedienen. De bestelde calamaris was prima van smaak zoals ook het locale brood. Na betaling vroeg ik waar hun toilet was dat bleek iets terug in straat te zijn in een gebouwtje het toilet voldeed op geen enkele wijze van wat men zou mogen verwachten van een restaurant op deze locatie.
29/01/2025: Very panoramic point, refined atmosphere.
The waitress was very kind, the boy less so.
That said, very good fish indeed.
We took both first and second courses with some side dishes.
We have been there more than once,
In the first everything is truly perfect... in the others "Ni".
fish always good but the dishes were not the same... the pasta was too far ahead in cooking, the scampi in the pasta were raw, we point it out and are told that they must be like this... I doubt it since on the other occasions everything was cooked to perfection .
High bill but well motivated by the location, the period (August) and the dishes chosen.
In conclusion: excellent restaurant, just be careful not to catch the wrong evening.

22/11/2024: Good food and beautiful view. Poor service. A waiter was rude, I asked to bring something, he brought it to me and immediately ran away (I needed to ask for something else), when he returned I asked him for something else and he ran away very quickly again, I didn't time to ask something else, when he came back I asked him and as he turned his back he exclaimed at the table behind in dialect, he thought I didn't understand: they're kidding me, damn. I told him that I understand the dialect and that every time he ran away and denied it. I went to pay and he did the bill, he didn't bother to apologize or give further explanations. Very Rude. Inability to relate to the customer.
13/10/2024: Just a beer and coffee, with a glass of water.
Not too expensive with a nice view of the beach.
I didn't eat there so no indication on that side.

12/09/2024: Premetto che non mi sono nemmeno seduto., siamo andati nella giornata odierna dato il tempo brutto a visitare Castelsardo , arrivati in paese e vista la pioggia incessante ci siamo fermati nella prima piazzetta e abbiamo trovato questa trattoria mi sono affacciato e carinamente la cameriera mi diceva di aspettare 10 min ,arrivato il mio turno ( dopo di me c'erano in attesa 4 persone staraniere ) il titolare ha fa tri passare avanti le 4 persone e a noi voleva metterci in un tavolo nell angolo della tendastruttura dove ci stava piovendo .
Per me questo locale deve chiudere assolutamente perché non puoi fare ristorazione se ti mancano le basi del galateo insieme alla correttezza di d educazione

18/10/2024: This Agriturismo was recommended by our Airbnb hosts. The only daunting part of the experience was the long, steep road to reach it. However, the view over La Ciaccia as the sun set was breathtaking, and the perfect dramatic introduction to a splendid evening!
On this unusually cool evening there were only 4 or 5 other tables occupied and my friend and I had a marvelous ‘front row’ seat right at the glass wall overlooking the terrace. The dining room is comfortable and modern-rustic, decorated with beautiful traditional baskets and art work.
I did not catch the names of most of the dishes served, unfortunately. Our waiter spoke excellent English compared to my struggling Italian!
The first offerings were a Salumi board of meats, cheeses and a delicious onion jam, artichokes and olives, a mushroom and cheese platter, and a porridge-like dish that paired well with the rich and salty flavors. Next was a gnochetti and tagliatelle with excellent sauces. The server kindly returned the onion jam when the porceddu (roast suckling pig) and potatoes was served. There may have been salad in there somewhere but I was almost bursting by then!
The dessert was the traditional seada (deep fried semolina dumpling filled with ricotta and a hint of lemon, drizzled with honey) and despite how full I was, the aroma of the yeasty fried dough was seductive and it was delightful! The finale was a shot of mirto, whose spicy heat did a nice job as a digestif.
A singularly amazing and delectable experience! All for €45!
