25/11/2025: Terrible experience. I arrive, say hello, and no response. They look at me but don't say hello. I get a jam croissant that honestly looked like the ones at the supermarket, soggy. I try a second time...same thing. I arrive, say hello with a smile, and no one responds. They look at me, but nothing. I almost think I'm invisible to them. I wait a moment in front of the pastry case. They look at me, but even there, nothing. I'm still invisible. At that point, I decide to leave without saying hello because they wouldn't respond anyway! And after today, that place will be invisible to me! I'll never go there again.
21/11/2025: Excellent value for money. Every time I've been there, I've always found a wide variety of pastries. After years of frequenting, I can say I've tried them all, and they're all excellent. I just can't understand those who write that they found the selection limited. Maybe they went near closing time? Keep in mind that this is an artisanal pastry shop, still one of the few remaining, and the pastries are "baked," so to speak, every day, so they're always very fragrant. They're excellent!!! Rating: 10

23/10/2025: A fairly typical pizza you can get at any random place in Italy, quickly baked in a decent oven, best to take away and enjoy in your apartment, although you can also eat it at the restaurant.
15/09/2025: Very good pizza, we ate there, and despite it being very busy, the pizzas arrived quite quickly. They also do slices; I recommend it.

04/11/2025: Upon arrival we were asked to wait by the entrance for 5-10 minutes, despite there being maybe 8 customers in the whole restaurant. Our host went to assist two other waitresses who we setting some tables, and seemed to be doing just fine. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and made a condescending remark about the drink I ordered. The food came out in good time, and was well-presented and tasty. Our plates were taken by a much friendlier member of staff, as our waitress had not checked in on us. Shame on Debora for her poor service.
03/11/2025: When you try to do everything (pizza, pasta, meat cooked in any way, burgers, etc.), you end up doing everything poorly. Terrible food: a 40-minute wait for a cold, overcooked burger (definitely precooked) at the unjustifiable price of 15 euros. Service is terrible, slow, and inattentive. It's clear the place has lost a lot of its appeal since it opened. Too bad, really bad.

05/10/2025: The restaurant is very welcoming and well-lit. The first courses and desserts were excellent, but unfortunately the second course (fried fish) wasn't even comparable to a Lidl frozen dish; it would have been worth returning.
Overall, for two people, with two bottles of water and a glass of wine, spending well over €100 seemed a bit excessive.
27/09/2025: Owner can't be bothered to care about other patrons except his regulars. Waitress wouldnt smile if you paid her. Food very mediocre for the price paid. Never again.

06/09/2025: We spent a week across the street at the Hotel Brescia and went to this wonderful bar every night. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and the free side dishes with our beer, from olives to bacon rolls, were unheard of in Germany. Thank you for this wonderful week with you 😃👍🏻

Essenza Bistrot is truly worth a visit.
07/11/2025: Excellent little restaurant in the center of Olbia (it's hard to find one of this caliber downtown). The dishes are predominantly fish-based. During the winter, they host various evenings dedicated to a particular dish; for example, I went to the boiled meat evening.
The chef's signature homemade bread is excellent! And the desserts are also very delicate and refined.

01/11/2025: Disappointing. As we'd say back home, this place is a case of "wanting to be something it's not." The food is quite average for the price: the fregula and chiusoni were nothing special; we had much better ones at other restaurants during our trip to Sardinia, and for a significantly lower price. Overall, everything at this restaurant has the "look" but lacks the "substance." It's pretty representative of Porto Rotondo in general: lots of "celebrity" nonsense, and in the end, nothing special.
02/10/2025: Excellent dinner featuring a remarkable amberjack ceviche and a good fish and shellfish soup. Perhaps a little too soupy, overpowering the underlying flavors. The white wine served was good, as was the myrtle dessert.

24/10/2025: Honestly, anyone ordering anything other than one of the three set menus here is simply lost! This was the best steak sandwich, or something similar, I've ever eaten.
I see reviews of lasagna and shrimp here, and honestly, it's my own fault. The steak sandwiches are the best in all of Europe!
The steak with cheese and the arugula mix is simply amazing!
Maybe a little too greasy for some tastes, but if that doesn't bother you, you'll love it!
24/10/2025: Very deliscous food, i recommend to order the menu 2 or 3. Very good and juicy meat and the fries were perfect.
