19/09/2025: We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our accommodation. The first impression was very elegant and stylish. Overall, I'm wavering between three and four stars.
Unfortunately, our waiter wasn't particularly friendly and spoke little English. Without the manager's intervention, we would have received sparkling water, even though we had specifically requested still water. My Aperol was forgotten and only arrived with the appetizer, which was admittedly very tasty (tartar sauce). The pasta main course was also good, but not entirely justified in terms of price. The waiter didn't even offer us dessert. Only the manager asked again at the end, but the espresso we ordered never arrived – but at least we weren't charged for it.
I would like to give the manager a special mention; she really made an effort and made up for a lot with her attentiveness. Without her, we would have only given it two or three stars.

23/10/2025: A fairly typical pizza you can get at any random place in Italy, quickly baked in a decent oven, best to take away and enjoy in your apartment, although you can also eat it at the restaurant.
15/09/2025: Very good pizza, we ate there, and despite it being very busy, the pizzas arrived quite quickly. They also do slices; I recommend it.

05/10/2025: The restaurant is very welcoming and well-lit. The first courses and desserts were excellent, but unfortunately the second course (fried fish) wasn't even comparable to a Lidl frozen dish; it would have been worth returning.
Overall, for two people, with two bottles of water and a glass of wine, spending well over €100 seemed a bit excessive.
27/09/2025: Owner can't be bothered to care about other patrons except his regulars. Waitress wouldnt smile if you paid her. Food very mediocre for the price paid. Never again.

04/11/2025: Upon arrival we were asked to wait by the entrance for 5-10 minutes, despite there being maybe 8 customers in the whole restaurant. Our host went to assist two other waitresses who we setting some tables, and seemed to be doing just fine. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and made a condescending remark about the drink I ordered. The food came out in good time, and was well-presented and tasty. Our plates were taken by a much friendlier member of staff, as our waitress had not checked in on us. Shame on Debora for her poor service.
03/11/2025: When you try to do everything (pizza, pasta, meat cooked in any way, burgers, etc.), you end up doing everything poorly. Terrible food: a 40-minute wait for a cold, overcooked burger (definitely precooked) at the unjustifiable price of 15 euros. Service is terrible, slow, and inattentive. It's clear the place has lost a lot of its appeal since it opened. Too bad, really bad.

06/09/2025: We spent a week across the street at the Hotel Brescia and went to this wonderful bar every night. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and the free side dishes with our beer, from olives to bacon rolls, were unheard of in Germany. Thank you for this wonderful week with you 😃👍🏻

Essenza Bistrot is truly worth a visit.
07/11/2025: Excellent little restaurant in the center of Olbia (it's hard to find one of this caliber downtown). The dishes are predominantly fish-based. During the winter, they host various evenings dedicated to a particular dish; for example, I went to the boiled meat evening.
The chef's signature homemade bread is excellent! And the desserts are also very delicate and refined.

01/11/2025: Disappointing. As we'd say back home, this place is a case of "wanting to be something it's not." The food is quite average for the price: the fregula and chiusoni were nothing special; we had much better ones at other restaurants during our trip to Sardinia, and for a significantly lower price. Overall, everything at this restaurant has the "look" but lacks the "substance." It's pretty representative of Porto Rotondo in general: lots of "celebrity" nonsense, and in the end, nothing special.
02/10/2025: Excellent dinner featuring a remarkable amberjack ceviche and a good fish and shellfish soup. Perhaps a little too soupy, overpowering the underlying flavors. The white wine served was good, as was the myrtle dessert.

06/09/2025: A simple campsite, surrounded by nature, but precisely for this reason, it's fabulous for its freedom and tranquility. The bathrooms are spotless at all times of the day. The pool is beautiful, huge, and always spotless.
05/09/2025: I stayed at this campsite for 10 days at the end of August. It's a large campsite with a gorgeous, super-clean pool, suitable for both adults and children. The restaurant and hospitality were good. The bungalows weren't overly large, but they were well-equipped and comfortable. It's great for its proximity to the beaches.
