We will never forget your kindness and the passion you have for your work. Mr. Angelo D'Anzi, the owner, was wonderful, kind, and available to us and our guests. Thanks again. Highly recommended.

12/09/2025: What a wonderful night. Food was exceptional! Family owned restaurant where brother cooks and sister serves. They even gave us a tour of there property that has been in family for generations. We found this restaurant late one evening and was not disappointed. Only problem leaving area today...would love to go back. A MUST VISIT!

Professionally managed by two young people (sister and brother) with love and dedication to their work they satisfy their customers. The will of these young people is to be rewarded ... 10/09/2025: My mother in law and I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful braceria in Ginosa, and I just have to share how fantastic it was, even if this review is late (so sorry)! The place specialises in a variety of meats, as other bracierie, but it was truly an unforgettable experience. I don’t think I have ever had any meat more delicious than what we had that night. The food was absolutely excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We came down from northern Italy, and the hospitality we received was just over the top. The hosts were incredibly kind, and when they found out how far we had traveled, they even gave us a little gift of home made biscuits (also very delicious) for the road! It was just that kind of personal touch that made us feel so at home. If you’re ever in Ginosa or Matera (where every place is fully booked and overpriced) and you love great meat selections and genuine hospitality, this is a must visit. Thanks to the entire family working there (and Anna Rosa in particular) for an experience we’re still talking about months later!

30/08/2025: We ate at this butcher's for the first time, expecting to eat well, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the OPPOSITE! The meat looked good, but it had an unpleasant aroma. The girls serving the food were also rude and unhelpful! They always said no to any questions or information! As soon as we got home, we felt, not bad, but terrible! Stomach pain and diarrhea. I strongly advise against this place!

28/09/2025: We stopped here for lunch today (September 28, 2025) and were impressed. The food was wonderful, and the server was very friendly and accommodating. We can't rate the rooms, as we weren't staying overnight. We can only recommend this restaurant for dinner.

11/09/2025: We visited for a dinner for two: magical! The location was beautiful, and we were able to eat outside in absolute tranquility and silence, accompanied only by the chirping of cicadas. The service was courteous and prompt, and both the main courses, the house appetizer, and the dessert were excellent. The rosé wine was excellent, also available by the glass. The price was average (€40 per person), more than reasonable considering the pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

Here, you don't feel like a mere customer, but like an important guest, welcomed with a kindness that is increasingly rare these days. The pizzas are their true strength. The dough is expertly crafted: light, well-leavened, and fragrant. Baking in the oven enhances every aroma, from the soft, lightly toasted edge to the balanced center, where the fresh ingredients blend seamlessly without overpowering. The desserts are another highlight: prepared in their kitchen, always fresh and never boring. The service is thoughtful and attentive. La Giara doesn't try to be flashy, because they know how to win with what really matters: care, quality, and a sincere welcome.

31/08/2025: First time at this place. Welcoming, excellent music selection (mainly 70s/80s). Outdoor seating, everything very clean and tidy. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The menu is also well-organized and, above all, very tasty. I highly recommend it. I wouldn't mind returning several times. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is the place for you.

09/10/2025: Exceptional restaurant and pizzeria! At the end of our leg of the Camino Materano, we stopped first for an aperitif and then, in the evening, for dinner. The owner is a delightful person as well as an amazing chef. I highly recommend it!

23/08/2025: Excellent pizza, quite a pleasant place, the only thing is that we had a misunderstanding, I think with the owners, where we received a poor response and consequently poor service. Never make an accusation without certain facts. 😌
