Chi si trova in Salento e non ha ancora provato la Chiacchieretta non sa cosa si perde .
Superlativo tutto .
06/08/2025: Small restaurant on the main square. The ladies are extremely friendly. The food is very good (the horse meat morsels are excellent), as well as various fried dishes.

10/09/2025: The food is simply exceptional. I highly recommend it if you want to try traditional Salento cuisine.
The prices are truly excellent; for an appetizer, two first courses, two second courses, and two desserts, we paid €37 each.
06/09/2025: A typical Salento trattoria in a timeless setting. Quality food (especially don't miss the vegetable appetizers), generous portions, and absolutely reasonable prices.
Perhaps a few more options for non-meat eaters wouldn't hurt.

06/09/2025: Ristorante Lilith is one of these place where you arrive and right away feel comfortable, the family owned restaurant just gives you the atmosphere of being at a friends place. The food is amazing and the same goes for the service. They‘re really friendly and professional.
I definitely recommend to share as many dishes as possible so you can try more of these amazingly fresh plates where you taste every single ingredient.

I didn't know this restaurant, but I have to admit it was worth it in every way: impeccably executed plating, high-quality food with refined ingredients, a stylish and classy location, attention to detail, excellent wine list, courtesy and professionalism to be praised, and a fair price for what we tasted. The pizza is really great, with quality ingredients and perfect cooking. The service is fast and very friendly.
The place is quite small and a bit noisy, but it is mainly a takeaway place, so it is completely in line with expectations.
Don't come for the atmosphere, but for the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff, which are really worth the visit!

12/06/2025: Excellent pastry shop, excellent ice creams, spumoni and ice cream tiles. I often buy the Rosticceria which is really worth it. Very kind and helpful staff.
22/04/2025: Big disappointment.
I write this only because I want to point out that if you are not capable of producing real "artisanal" Easter eggs, you don't make them.
I chose to buy the artisanal rather than the industrial Alabama Easter egg, in the hope that it would be better qualitatively speaking.
It was a disappointment... Apparently it looked nice, then once I unwrapped it I found the egg covered in film, surely because the chocolate hadn't been tempered well. And inside the “surprise” is wrapped in foil. And it was certainly a "recycle" as the base of the toy is also missing. Furthermore, I also noticed that the piece of paper attached to the surprise was photocopied on a white sheet of paper.
And, last but not least, the quality of the chocolate is not great.

23/08/2025: Yesterday, my husband and I went for a snack at this restaurant. We sat outside in a charming little square located within the walls of Akaja Castle. We enjoyed a platter of various cheeses and cured meats, along with bruschetta. The food was very good, thanks to the quality of the ingredients. We also enjoyed the service, as Rossella was very professional and kind. We'll be back again this evening.

02/09/2025: Very nice place. Attentive and friendly staff. The food is very good with generous portions. My husband and I ordered seafood linguine to share, and without batting an eye, they brought us the pasta already cooked on two plates. We also ordered fried or grilled fish.
25/08/2025: Located on the outskirts of town, inside an old factory (likely an olive oil mill, given that the sign depicts a millstone).
Beyond the interior spaces with barrel-vaulted ceilings, there is an internal courtyard used during the summer months.
The staff is friendly and attentive.
The menu includes appetizers, first courses, and second courses of meat and seafood, as well as pizzas.
For our dinner for two, we chose a mixed fried fish appetizer, a special pizza, a mixed grilled meat, a sorbet, 1 liter of water, and 1/2 liter of wine.

29/08/2025: We went there last night after reading good reviews online. Nothing to complain about the location, except for a huge lizard that kept watch over us the entire evening! The waiter arrived and we began to order: he offered us a house appetizer, which actually included fennel, beetroot, half a tomato, eggplant in tomato sauce, two peppers, and two tiny pieces of primosale cheese (for €12). We chose two first courses, which we were told were homemade pasta, but were absolutely not: maritati con le rape (full of anchovies and very little beetroot) and ciciari e tria (tasting of burnt oil). For second courses, we opted for sausages (like Eurospin) with a side of fries, and lamb with potatoes (still in the cooking water and without even a drizzle of oil). Not to mention, the potatoes were disgusting just to look at. As if that weren't enough, we sent the lamb back—it was practically bones and sinews—without eating it, but the owner took offense at the criticism and ended up charging us for it anyway (total €74.50). Now I wonder: what are these people who write such positive reviews used to eating at home?

06/08/2025: We visited Masseria San Pietro for lunch and had a truly delightful experience. The location is enchanting, immersed in the quiet Salento countryside, meticulously maintained and very welcoming.
The service was impeccable: the staff were friendly, discreet, and attentive. The menu offers traditional dishes with a tasteful twist, prepared with quality ingredients. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented.
A perfect place for those who want to enjoy a relaxing lunch in an elegant yet authentic setting. We'll be happy to return!
03/08/2025: We had dinner here thanks to a spa package. The atmosphere was comfortable and very simple. Very attentive service, but the menu wasn't very convincing. Worth trying again.
