15/08/2026: A splendid location nestled in the beautiful village of the walled city of Acaya, a hamlet of Vernole. Entering the restaurant, with the warm welcome of the staff, is like stepping back in time, into a traditional Salento restaurant preserved with care and love. Every detail is enchanting. The dishes, all excellent and generously portioned, are delicious and offer an unforgettable experience, highly recommended. In my opinion, this is a must-see, invaluable for better understanding Salento, starting with the places and especially the food. Excellent!!! Reservations recommended.

08/08/2026: We spent two weeks traveling in Salento and had by far the best meal of our trip at Nonno Pici. All the dishes were typically Italian and homemade. We'll definitely be back. 😋😊

For the past three years, we've chosen to return every year because it's truly rare these days to find a restaurant that demonstrates such attention and passion for what it does, along with genuine care for its customers. This time, Lilith once again met our expectations: quality, research, attention to detail, and above all, the feeling of being welcomed into a place where every choice is born from passion. Special mention goes to the menu, which reinvents itself every year, remaining true to the local tradition and always maintaining the highest standards. For us, it's become an annual event we happily renew. Congratulations on the new space and for preserving what, in our opinion, makes Lilith special.

28/06/2026: A small pastry shop in Vernole, discovered thanks to Google! We stopped on the way home to stock up on pasticciotti and we didn't regret it! Probably the best we've ever had! We tried all the flavors, with the Crema-Amarena and Pistachio being our favorites! We also tried a brioche with cream and black cherry and a "Fruttone"—I hope I'm right—with figs and almonds! Both were amazing!!! Highly recommended!!!

18/08/2026: Alabama is a pastry shop located in the municipality of Vernole. It offers traditional sweets, including the pasticciotto and the New Entree, as well as the "Zinna della Monica." They also offer variegated almond paste. Unfortunately, as I write this review, I have a nagging stomach ache after eating their "Spumone," a historic artisanal ice cream from Salento, which was once served in galvanized containers. And it's not the first time it's happened to me. To make a good Spumone, the raw material is essential, and quality ice cream is essential, which Alabama unfortunately doesn't have. However, the pastries, including the cakes and cream puffs filled with Chantilly cream, are top-notch.

06/08/2026: Excellent pizzeria for takeout and dine-in. They don't have a wood-fired oven, but the pizza is equally delicious. Competitive prices; a bit of a wait, but well worth it.

18/07/2026: A must-try pizzeria! The pizza is thin, tasty, well-cooked, and, above all, well-topped. The prices are also a pleasant surprise, truly out of this world: there's no cover charge. The wait for the pizzas was a bit long, but it was worth it. The puccia is also a must-try; it's truly superb. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The only thing to note: reservations aren't possible, so you'll need to be patient and organize your order.

24/07/2026: We booked at this trattoria, and there were two families of us... we took their advice to try all the appetizers, and I must say that those alone filled us up. The food was good and plentiful, although for my personal taste, there was too much mint in some dishes. I didn't like it because the water and wine were at room temperature... the service was very friendly, kind, and attentive.

From the very first moment, we were met with great courtesy, helpfulness, and attention to our every need. The service was prompt, yet impeccable and professional. The lunch was truly excellent, with flavorful dishes, carefully prepared with quality ingredients, appreciated by all the guests. Every request was met with kindness and precision, making us feel truly pampered throughout the experience. Furthermore, the setting is stunning, surrounded by greenery, with a beautifully manicured lawn and a lovely lake, creating a relaxing yet elegant atmosphere. Having lunch with this view made the day even more special. A place we absolutely recommend and will gladly return to!
