Sesto Canto In Vernole

A small pastry shop in Vernole, discovered thanks to Google! We stopped on the way home to stock up on pasticciotti and we didn't regret it! Probably the best we've ever had! We tried all the flavors, with the Crema-Amarena and Pistachio being our favorites! We also tried a brioche with cream and black cherry and a "Fruttone"—I hope I'm right—with figs and almonds! Both were amazing!!! Highly recommended!!!

A fantastic experience. I tried this wonderful pastry shop on the recommendation of my brother, who had enjoyed it last year: for breakfast, a caffè macchiato and a pasticciotto alla crema (cream-filled pasticciotto), both delicious. I returned for more breakfasts and left with a nice haul (25 pasticciotti) to take home for each of my family members. A huge variety of fresh mini pastries, almond paste pastries, both baked and unbaked, ice cream, etc. Basically, I couldn't leave. Furthermore, the owner and sales assistant were truly kind, smiling, and calm—something you always take for granted, but isn't. The Sesto Canto pastry shop will definitely be a regular stop for me when I have the opportunity to return to Salento from Veneto. Another surprise: the finesse in packaging the various trays, according to the various families they were destined for, amazed me. It was so well done with such care that, despite having traveled 1,000 km, they arrived intact inside and out. The skill is evident from start to finish. Not to mention the price, which is unmatched in terms of quality/price ratio! I will recommend it to family and friends because, for me, it's the TOP!

We had breakfast and, taking the opportunity to see the selection, we picked up some fresh mini pastries to enjoy at home. Everything was delicious, and you could truly taste the skill and craftsmanship of a true professional. Alessia and the sales assistant, whose name I don't remember, were very friendly. The atmosphere was clean and tidy.
