21/07/2025: I spent a very pleasant evening at Phonogram, a refined restaurant with a charming atmosphere. It offers outdoor seating with a view of the Ugento square and cathedral, while being caressed by the Salento breeze and listening to good music. The cuisine is excellent, thanks to the carefully selected ingredients. The owner and staff are very friendly, welcoming customers with a smile and fulfilling requests promptly. Excellent service!
19/07/2025: During a pleasant evening in the heart of beautiful Ugento, we stopped at a restaurant located in a charming historic square, where time seems to have stood still and the atmosphere exudes an authenticity hard to find elsewhere.
We began with a trio of appetizers, all carefully crafted with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors that reflect the local culinary tradition. Each course was a mini-taste journey, a clear sign of attentive and passionate cuisine.
A special mention goes to the staff, truly kind and friendly, a typical Salento trait. The owner, in particular, was welcoming and helpful, and pampered us with a truly appreciated gesture: he offered us a homemade digestif, ending the evening on a genuine and warm note.
An experience we highly recommend to anyone seeking fine cuisine, an authentic atmosphere, and sincere hospitality in the heart of Salento.

A truly extraordinary culinary experience. We ate exceptional seafood, from calamari to tuna; every dish was perfect. But what struck us most was Chef Regina's passion and mastery.
The fries... incredible. Even when you're full, you try one and immediately know they're special. Crispy, flavorful, it's as if Regina always uses fresh oil. You can taste the quality, you can taste the love.
The tuna carpaccio was another masterpiece: incredibly fresh, delicate, impeccably served. Every dish is meticulously prepared and meticulously crafted.
Chef Regina, wow. A true artist. Her cuisine is sincere, refined, and profoundly authentic.
And a huge compliment also to the manager Federico, always present, attentive, and welcoming. You can tell the entire team works with passion and harmony.
A hidden gem we recommend to everyone and will definitely return to!
01/08/2025: Eleven years ago, I sat at a table in this very restaurant. Today, the soul of the place is intact. You can feel it the moment you walk in: no gimmicks, no pretense. Just people who care about food and the people they’re feeding.
Dinner was a kind of quiet sitting with the sister of the owner. The pittule came first: golden, airy, octopus, and teasing you that they are not playing around. And then the tuna carpaccio….no words….so fresh.
Course after course, I was surprised, not by flashy techniques, but by how deeply good it all was. It was food that made you feel something. This wasn’t just a meal. It was memory, nostalgia, generosity. A reminder that some places don’t fade. Some places get it right and keep getting it right.
If I could give advice to La Regina: Don’t change a thing.

09/08/2025: Vengo spesso con la mia famiglia quì al Cool Garden di Torre San Giovanni.
Che dire, se non "sempre perfetto!"
sia nel menù alla carta che nelle cerimonie.
Menù molto buono, pizze squisite, ottimi i primi e secondi .
Ma la cosa che contraddistingue in eccellenza, è l'attenzione che tutto lo Staff ha per le persone con allergia e intolleranze.
Ho 2 bambine celiache, e garantisco, il COOLGARDEN è il Top su questo aspetto!
La location con la terrazzina all'aperto è molto gradevole, ma anche all'interno è tutto molto curato nei dettagli!
Il personale è sempre attento, e veloce.
Che dire...se dovessi trovare un difetto...impossibile!

Ristorante Trattoria Ritrovo del Viandante

14/07/2025: Siamo entrati e non c’era nessuno. Ho chiamato lo chef che era in cucina, ci ha fatti accomodare per poi dirci che c’era solo l’asino (a pezzi o intero). Non c’era altro. Solo formaggi e salumi di antipasto. Per il resto solo asino. Nessun primo, nessun secondo (forse la costata). Ho visto il signore un po’ provato. Ci è dispiaciuto molto ma ce ne siamo andati senza mangiare. Speriamo sia un momento di transizione.
18/06/2025: Dishonest - food and atmosphere was fine. However, check your receipt. The owner added 10 euros to the cost of our wine, doubled our table charge (coperto), added 2 euros to our appetizer. He did not follow the prices on his menu. Watch your itemized receipt before you pay.

05/04/2025: This place is Top in every sense!!!! Excellent pizzas.... As far as the cuisine is concerned, that's a separate discussion.... 10 cum laude.... Got gnocchi with fresh tuna twice, a pleasure for the palate!!! Very kind staff!!!! I will return 1000 more times!!!!

30/07/2025: My husband and I stayed for two weeks from July 13th to 27th and also took advantage of the beach service at the "La Pineta" lido. It was a relaxing stay with all the welcoming staff. Thanks to Massimo, the restaurant's maître d', and to Ettore, the person who took care of transporting hotel guests to the two partner beaches.
Of course, the sea was spotless.

30/07/2025: We spent an enchanting evening here at "Al Duomo," in the beautiful old town of Ugento.
The restaurant has a magical and evocative atmosphere, perfectly suited to its location, respecting style and tradition.
The sweet Roberta welcomed us, and the kind and knowledgeable waiters accompanied us throughout the evening.
The cuisine perfectly respects Salento tradition, from the typical appetizers to the quality first courses made with fresh ingredients, to the second courses prepared with love and attention to detail. Rita's expert hands give the dishes a special touch.
The pizzas are delicious, with carefully selected and fresh ingredients, from the dough to the toppings. Truly excellent.
A family-run restaurant where you can feel at home, pampered by the entire staff, especially the owner, Enzo, who kept us company and shared the history of the restaurant and local traditions.
We truly had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the food equally. We will obviously return often to "Al Duomo," where experience and tradition meet.

12/07/2025: Locale carino, ma per il resto non ci siamo.
Antipasto di parmigiana di melanzana fredda e porzione da camionista, poi abbiamo preso 2 orecchiette con polpette senza cacioricotta, 1 orecchietta completa e le sagne ncannulate.
La pasta era scotta, mentre la cacioricotta era veramente molto forte e persistente.
Una bottiglia di acqua e..80 euro...
Peraltro ad un certo punto c'era la cameriera che si intratteneva fuori a parlare credo con la titolare. Saranno state svariati minuti e c'era il ns tavolo che aveva finito e un tavolo che attenda di ordinare. Mah, sono rimasto perplesso dalla gestione

L'ANGOLO DIVINO "Enoteca,Wine bar"

03/08/2025: Terrible experience, unprepared wait staff. We asked for a description of an appetizer to receive another (which was later replaced but at a higher price, at our expense!), asked for some dishes and with a thousand excuses, were directed to more expensive ones. The wrong child's pizza was taken back, the extra ingredient was removed, and the same one was offered again. The fries were almost burnt.
I don't recommend it at all, it's expensive but the quality is terrible!
02/08/2025: Given the rather high price, one would expect a minimum level of professionalism.
Total disorganization.
Errors in booking a table and a lack of communication between the staff.
The atmosphere is nothing special except for the annoying mosquitoes and the hot lights.
They didn't bring us the menu; it took 40 minutes to realize this and another 40 minutes to take our order, but without drinks because "they'll ask for them later." After a while, the SAME guy who took our order came by to ask if we had already ordered.
After another half hour of waiting, the food arrived (poor quality, needless to say), which we finished without drinks because the waiters had forgotten about them...
Definitely overpriced considering the rather traumatic experience.

20/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato in questo locale consigliatomi dal nostro residence...ordiniamo varie pietanze diverse...pizza, pesce e antipasti vari...il misto fritto era ancora congelato all interno...il pesce si percepiva surgelato e di scarsa qualità ( piovra gommosa in salamoia)..il peggio è arrivato con uno sfilatino farcito con pomodorini palesemente acidi a causa di una sicura mal conservazione...nel farlo notare il personale ci ha congedato con " i pomodorini arrivano in questi giorni così!" E ci viene fortunatamente ritirato il piatto e scalato dal conto...in conclusione il rapporto prezzo/ qualità non è assolutamente proporzionato!
01/07/2025: Il locale è ampio e per la maggior parte è all'esterno sotto un grande porticato.
Premetto che abbiamo optato per le pizze e quindi conto di ritornarci per altri piatti.
Il menù offre ampia scelta, oltre alle pizze, piatti sia di mare che di terra con prezzi nella norma.
Tornando alle pizze abbiamo scelto una ai frutti di mare (gratinati) e mozzarella ed una rossa con salsiccia.
Buone entrambe e grandi con impasto ben lievitato e digeribile, da bere 1 acqua liscia e vino bianco della casa frizzantino bevibile.
Conto finale 30,50 euro con regolare ricevuta, il servizio veloce nonostante il locale fosse pieno.
È consigliabile la prenotazione per i fine settimana
