The cuisine is sincere, just like their slogan says: dishes with homemade flavors, authentic and wholesome, prepared with quality ingredients and generous portions. We particularly enjoyed the ciceri e tria, the sagne with strong ricotta, the house antipasto, and the traditional desserts. The wine list is also excellent. Special praise goes to the service: warm welcome, attentive customer service, perfect service times, and a delightful ability to anticipate the needs of the table without being intrusive. It's those details that really make the difference. The only thing we'd like to point out is the peppered mussels: the dish was good, but the mussels could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Otherwise, we'd recommend this place without hesitation to anyone seeking authentic Salento cuisine. We'll gladly return. We had dinner at Ozan and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Special dinner at this wonderful restaurant. Typical Salento cuisine with unforgettable flavors, extremely kind and welcoming staff, from the chef to the waiters. We had a meat appetizer and two first courses. Absolutely everything you need to try. Excellent value for money! Fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

A very positive experience at this establishment, a favorite among locals. The welcome was friendly, and the staff were helpful. The owner was very helpful and available to all customers, both for advice and conversation. The waitstaff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our dishes were delicious and generous. After my hearty pepata di cozze and pasta, I was completely satisfied! 😅 The establishment offers a family atmosphere steeped in history (look at the photos on the walls; you'll find pictures of famous places in Ugento as well as an old photo of their facade). Their tableware is also charming and original; it's like having a meal at an aunt's house in the village. The homemade "torta" de la nonna is a must-try if you like Italian tarts. We had a lovely time, highly recommend it, and will definitely return. 🥂
