We stopped by chance last night with some friends.
The place and menu are simple, the staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices and excellent ingredients.
We'll definitely be back!

- Green and inaccessible pool (no warning)
- Poorly insulated room
- Doorjamb not secured (fell on my head)
- Bad slope in the shower = pool (there it is!!)
- Water not always hot....
- Very average €15 breakfast

18/07/2026: A truly disappointing experience. The place was dirty, the tables weren't cleaned, and the service was extremely slow despite the small number of customers. The staff seemed rude and unhelpful, almost annoyed by the requests. The coffee was lukewarm and mediocre, while the croissants seemed at least a day old. The prices also seemed excessive for what they offered. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience, and based on my visit, I wouldn't recommend it.
18/07/2026: Beautiful kiosk by the sea, very cute with a varied selection
all day long. Excellent coffee and even the espresso cream. Quick and professional service...the view of the sea and the Roca Tower is wonderful and unique.

09/08/2026: I'm sorry to leave a negative review, but I hope it helps so we can improve everything.
We got some takeout pizzas, and believe me, they were bad, all without salt (it can happen, okay), and the toppings tasted like they were spoiled.
Please be careful.
07/08/2026: Nightmare experience, dirty and smelly place, spiders in the food and on the cutlery.
The only redeeming features are the waitresses.
The bill was outrageous for the quality and the
location.
I wholeheartedly
do not recommend it.

We had lunch and ordered fried calamari. They served it completely raw! I asked for it to be cooked better, and after two seconds, the dish was back to normal. Naturally, I only had salad. I paid, and they didn't even ask why I hadn't eaten. Never again!!!!
02/09/2025: I'm not judging the beach; honestly, I find it too crowded to enjoy.
Excellent cuisine, delicious dishes.

12/08/2026: Extremely overpriced and disappointing. Sunbeds from €45 to €100+, with extremely poor service and unfriendly staff. A €15 sandwich was basically bread with a tiny piece of meat, two lettuce leaves, and no sauce or side dish. Drinks were not properly chilled. Dirty toilets with no soap or toilet paper. We were also pressured to leave the table immediately after paying, and our drinks were still unfinished. Absolutely not worth the prices. HORRIBLE

12/08/2026: Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience at Cala Marin. The owner is not at all friendly, and you can sense more interest in the business than in customer service.
The prices are quite high for what they serve, with very small portions. As soon as you finish your meal, the bill arrives immediately, and you clearly feel like you have to leave.
The amenities also leave much to be desired: the bathrooms lack soap and paper towels, you have to pay for the shower, and even the sunbeds are very expensive.
It's a shame, because the place is really beautiful, but the value for money and the service are absolutely not up to par. :::

29/07/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante a cena con tutta la famiglia. È stata una meravigliosa scoperta. I camerieri gentilissimi e simpatici ci hanno accolti con limonata fresca. Dopo un gustoso amuse bouche, abbiamo gustato diversi piatti a base di pesce tutti abbondanti e ricercati. Ci ha sorpreso la quantità di pesce fresco presente in tutte le portate. Dall' antipasto al dolce è stata un' esperienza culinaria memorabile.
25/07/2025: Ieri, io e mia moglie, siamo andati a cenare, in codesto rinomato ristorante. Abbiamo ordinato due fritture Senza spine, 19,00 euro cadauno due contorni, uno di patate e l'altro misto di broccoli carciofi carote ecc. Un'acqua minerale naturale e un calice di vino rosato. Le fritture 19,00 euro cadauno, nella norma, senza infamia e Senza lode, il vino non particolare 7,00 un calice, acqua panna 3,00. Coperto 6,00. I contorni, rifiutati in quanto non mangiabili, pertanto la signora alla cassa , ha avuto l'onestà di non conteggiarli. Costo finale 54,00. Delusione, in base alle recensioni, ci saremmo aspettati altro. Peccato,forse era una serata storta, oppure ognuno ha il proprio livello.

Mangiato un ottimo crudo, polipo fritto, calamaro tra i più buoni che abbia mai mangiato, melanzane buonissime, eccezionale! Una cena superlativa.
09/07/2025: Un’esperienza davvero indimenticabile! Puntarenas Salento è un posto bellissimo affacciato sul mare, perfetto per rilassarsi e godersi l’atmosfera. Il cibo è semplicemente ottimo: piatti freschi, ben preparati e ricchi di sapori autentici. Un vero piacere per il palato!
Un ringraziamento speciale a Gabriele, una persona fantastica: accogliente, disponibile e sempre con il sorriso. Ha reso la nostra esperienza ancora più piacevole.
Consigliatissimo, ci torneremo sicuramente!

06/11/2024: Cavalcare l’onda della popolarità diventando dei veri e propri “truffatori”? Ebbene si, é proprio il loro caso. Prezzi raddoppiati rispetto lo scorso anno, addirittura mi sono stati chiesti 9€ per una corona, prezzo degno per i migliori sunset bar di Mykonos. Ah no aspettate, é a torre dell’orso 😂

16/02/2025: Abbiamo provato una pizza a metro da asporto. Tre gusti e devo dire che in 4/5 persone mangiano per bene.
La prossima volta la proveremo al tavolo e sono certo che sarà ancora più buona.

11/09/2024: Durante l’alloggio nel loro hotel a settembre, abbiamo approfittato per una Cena in famiglia. Ottimo cibo a base di pesce e carne, servizio professionale e simpatico. Consigliato.
06/09/2024: Tornare in questo ristorante è stata una scelta voluta per il menù ottimo e la gentilezza d personale, sempre attento e pronto. Preparano senza glutine e offrono un antipasto di pesce veramente raffinato. Se siete a San Foca merita una cena da Romano.
