04/10/2024: We stayed at the hotel for six nights at the end of september and enjoyed very much for all the kind hospitality of the staff, delicious service and great beaches, wiews, and the athmosfere of south Italy. Hope to get back, worth to travel there even though it's long distace from Finland.

31/08/2024: I really don't understand what taste you have of pizza if you consider them excellent here. I am convinced that they are the frozen ones. You don't even pay yourself in Forte dei Marmi (e.g. €9 red pizza with a hint of canned tuna - €10 bowl of fried food). The move to open in mid-July is making you pay with interest and without the pleasure of eating something decent.

03/06/2025: If you don't know how to make a coffee, don't even open!!! The basis is the Coffee... Stunning seaside place... And then? A coffee and a bitter 10 euros, but oh well everyone does as they want, but at least know how to make coffee, it was water. Why wasn't it said right away? It would have been useless, indifference is superiority.... You've lost customers! But I don't think you'll have many if you continue like this.

04/01/2025: Piatti gustosi, ottimamente preparati e in porzioni anche troppo abbondanti. Servizio attento e sollecito. Ristorante dall ‘ atmosfera famigliare. Dopo 20 giorni di permanenza in Salento e innumerevoli ristoranti sperimentati, di varie categorie, ritengo molto favorevole il rapporto qualità prezzo de “La Lanterna”. Consigliatissimo. Mi permetto solo un suggerimenti per migliorare ancora di più l’esperienza e che riguardano esclusivamente la sala: con il massimo rispetto per chi li ha dipinti, ma i quadri che decorano le pareti sono di qualità più che modesta. Allora meglio delle foto (ma professionali!) o degli specchi con belle cornici o, al limite, le pareti bianche. Io, comunque, all’occasione ci tornerò perché il cuoco e il personale tutto … merita.

13/09/2024: One week stay with friends in this property. Everything is taken care of and the staff are kind and attentive but the best is achieved at the table with the delicacies proposed by the excellent Chef Giuseppe Sanfilippo.

13/05/2025: We found this restaurant by chance. It has a beautiful view, and we ate seafood, freshly caught, and it's delicious. The service is excellent, and best of all, the house dessert. An exquisite delicacy, similar to tiramisu.

22/04/2025: Exquisite food and wonderful service! Very kind staff! Every dish was a delight, and the service was unparalleled. I highly recommend! Visited for lunch we loved it!

18/04/2025: We stopped at this diner during a lunch break attracted by the varied menu and apparently affordable prices. Unfortunately the experience was not the best. We waited over 30 minutes for two simple dishes, even though the place was not particularly crowded. The food arrived lukewarm and rather bland: the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was really careless, it almost seemed reheated. The second course also didn't convince, with tough meat and not very fresh side dishes. The staff was courteous, but a little distracted and disorganized: we had to ask for water and bread several times. The environment is spartan, which is not a problem in itself, but the hygiene of the tables and services left something to be desired. Overall, a stop we wouldn't repeat. With a little more attention it could improve, but for now we wouldn't recommend it.

18/10/2024: 2024 Google suggests I update the review. Nothing useless to update Mediocrity prices dancers (depending on the mood? Or the customer?) Cleanliness to be good approximate. No star given away 2023 One star removed... from two to one .. There is never an end to the worst. Disorder and approximation. Sin! It could be fabulous but it's not... unfortunately! Except for the good coffee... Approximate service, Covid rules not respected, cleanliness of the place to be improved for sure Unprofessional confusing. Yet the ideas are there... Even the sympathy... It takes a little more courage and inventiveness... It deserves three stars of encouragement, but it would be unfair
