15/06/2025: Nice little restaurant where you get to choose your meat and then they would cook it for you and take it to the table. Reasonable prices for the location. Service was on point, not much variety of meet. All in all a good difference lunch experience with the family

21/05/2025: Don't be fooled by the ordinary appearance of the place when you are outside on the street. Step in and experience the warm and welcoming staff and the tastiest panzerotto.
The place seems to be favoured by the locals and no wonder why. It become our new favourite spot in Cisternino.

05/05/2025: Simple place, a butcher's counter where you can choose what to eat, a few tables inside and a few outside just outside the historic center. The very courteous manager. We ate assorted Apulian bombette cooked on the stove, livers. Grilled potatoes, excellent tomatoes. Delicious almond biscuits are offered with coffee. Highly recommended.

18/06/2025: Una piacevole sorpresa nel giardino interno di questo ristorante, lontano dal caos e diverso dalle solite trattorie. Piatti ottimi e curati, personale molto gentile e accogliente, atmosfera intima . Consigliatissimo!
02/06/2025: Bella la location, un’enoteca ti accoglie all’ingresso per poi proseguire in un bel giardino molto curato tra tavoli, rose bianche e piante di mandorle. Molto suggestivo. Il menù molto vario, buoni gli antipasti, il primo discreto, il dolce (un brownie) una bomba. Conto abbastanza salato. Comunque da provare.

25/05/2025: Mezzofanti è uno di quei ristoranti che sanno coniugare eleganza, accoglienza e una cucina di altissimo livello. L’atmosfera è intima ma raffinata, con luci calde e un arredamento curato nei dettagli, ideale per una cena speciale o semplicemente per godersi un pasto di qualità.
Ottimo l’arrosto di manzo al carpaccio 🤤
In sintesi, Mezzofanti non è solo un ristorante, ma un piccolo viaggio nel gusto, da ripetere al più presto.

25/05/2025: Se cerchi un posto in cui vivere un’esperienza unica devi assolutamente venire qui al mezzofanti a cisternino…il ristorante più bello in questo paese pieno di storia. Vivrai un’esperienza magica : dai colori, al verde, ai piatti, ai fiori, al menu, all’accoglienza. Annamaria, la proprietaria ti farà sentire a casa e ti coccolerà…è un’amica di cui non potrai più fare a meno. Non saprei consigliare un piatto del menù perché è tutto buonissimo in un’atmosfera familiare e perfetta. Dovete assolutamente fare quest’esperienza e vi innamorerete!!!

21/04/2025: Very positive experience on Easter Monday. Cozy environment. Very characteristic place with limited seating, better to book. Characteristic dishes of the cuisine, so-called popular, parmigiana, lasagna and all-you-can-eat meat, turcinieddi, sausage of all types, various bombette, sliced scottona, whole baked potatoes opened and seasoned with oil, salt and pepper. And finally sweets, bitters and coffee. Everything was excellent and perfect, even the bill!!!

03/01/2025: Excellent structure, a small niche located in the historic center of Cisternino, only for true connoisseurs and true expert researchers.
Small shop, as if it were a small butcher's shop, which offers a take-away service or self-service of meat and some small side dishes.
The place has a small entrance with the counter of the meat to choose from, and then a separate room with three tables where you can taste the dishes ordered.
I must say that in my opinion there should be a slightly wider choice regarding the type of bombette, but let's say that they also have roulades and sausage.
The choice is to take the meat on a plate or with a sandwich, the potatoes baked in foil are delicious.
Very kind staff, a very affectionate and thoughtful lady, always smiling.
Remember to clean the tables once you leave!
Definitely to return.

We sit down at 8:30 pm and the bread was already finished…they serve us the first bombette and after an hour we get the salad with chips (it was supposed to be a side dish) we wait another half an hour and we get more meat…basically we didn't have dinner all together at the table but in small groups

I don't recommend!!!!
14/06/2025: every time I go to them I am always satisfied for me the best grill restaurant in Cisternino both in terms of quality and service do not be intimidated by the approximately 4 km that separates the grill restaurant from the center of Cisternino it is done in a few minutes by car. absolutely recommended obviously take the bombette
