23/03/2025: Discovered while walking through the center of Ceglie, it immediately became our evening reference point. The immediate feeling and friendliness of the owners, with whom we entertained ourselves in long chats, made us live the experience of real life in the village in a human dimension that is difficult to find. The aperitif was perfect. In short, we hope they come to visit us soon in Sardinia where we live.

Small but welcoming environment.
Owners, I apologize if I don't remember your names, very kind.
Excellent appetizers, first course with homemade pasta, cardoncelli mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, superb.
They really deserve the compliments.
We warmly recommend if you pass by Ceglie.
Keep up the good work, to enhance the 0 km. foods of your territory.

12/05/2025: THE STARTER IS WORTH IT ALL
We went here as a family for Easter Monday lunch and it must be said: what a lunch! The appetizer alone is worth the whole experience, both for abundance and flavor. We are talking about an almost infinite series of courses with typical preparations of local cuisine with an authentic and unmistakable taste. From strong ricotta to meatballs, to fried foods and mussels au gratin, simple but one leads to another.
It's a bit of a shame for the first courses, not bad on the base, but all overcooked and the seasonings are a little loose and very garlicky, otherwise we would be on a 5 star rating.
But the service was impeccable. Courtesy, great availability and speed in serving dishes, however all freshly prepared with a full room. The environment is small, but very typical and welcoming.
Prices absolutely more than fair.

03/05/2025: Bad experience we waited half an hour to start eating even though we arrived and there was no one at the second reminder they serve us a miserable appetizer with absolutely not fresh cured meats we ask if it is possible to order pizza but without waiting much longer we are told by the waiter we have to wait because in the meantime the place has filled up with people we decided to leave the bill was far superior to what we ate both in terms of quality and quantity

Good wine but nothing special unlike the Cegliese biscuit which is spectacular.

06/05/2025: Finalmente siamo riusciti a prenotare dopo che tanti nostri amici non facevano altro che raccontare la meravigliosa esperienza vissuta. Non possiamo che confermare. La carne in tutte le sue sfumature era un qualcosa di Divino. Il servizio caloroso e molto professionale. Anche la carta dei vini degna di nota. Ci vedremo spesso. Grazie ancora!
05/05/2025: Recommended by friends we had dinner at this temple of meat. An incredible experience, finally a place where the raw material is respected and valued. It's a shame that I only discovered it now. Fantastic staff.

cena in famiglia , piatti gustosi ed abbondanti ad eccezione della trippa in brodo (un pò insipida)

02/05/2025: Piccolo locale al centro di Ceglie, incuriositi dalle recensioni, lo abbiamo provato.
Osteria come tante con cibo buono ma non eccellente . Antipasti nella norma e primo piu' che sufficiente. L'arrosto misto non era all'altezza delle precedenti portate.
Il vino delle casa buono e i dolci fatti in casa buoni. Insomma cucina senza troppi fronzoli con un buon rapporto qualita'-prezzo, servizio celere ed educato.
Da rivedere e migliorare.

26/04/2025: We had a great breakfast, the staff was awesome and kind. Dogs are allowed into the inner yard. We were in a hurry and unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy this jewel as long as it deserves. Tutto a posto!

13/05/2025: Sublime setting, but catastrophic service—run away.
The Da Franco Relax and More restaurant is beautiful, very beautiful. The place is well-kept, the atmosphere perfect. But that's about all we'll remember.
The service was a disaster from start to finish. Dishes were sent out in a chain, without any rhythm, without attention. And above all, a huge scandal surrounding the wine: we were invited to choose a bottle from the wine bar, without ever mentioning a €15 corkage fee.
The bottle listed at €55 ended up costing €70 on the bill.
The icing on the cake: the owner broke the cork while opening it... and refused to replace the bottle! We had to insist for him to agree to pour us a glass—as if it were a privilege.
When it came time to pay, he persisted in charging us the extra. We had to raise our voices and threaten him for us to finally take the €15 cork off. No professionalism, zero honesty.
This place deserves service that matches its decor. As it stands: a place to avoid, unless you like tourist traps disguised as chic.

26/04/2025: Pranzo del 25 aprile fantastico tutto buonissimo questo locale è una certezza da provare assolutamente per chi vuole assaporare la vera cucina tradizionale ambiente accogliente e proprietari simpaticissimi e gentilissimi siamo stati in loro compagnia dopo pranzo sembra davvero di stare a casa Pietro il proprietario ci mette passione e amore e tutto ciò si rispecchia nei suoi piatti sublimi grazie di tutto a presto

29/09/2024: Siamo stati a cena con un gruppo di amici. All’arrivo ci chiedono se vogliamo stare fuori o dentro. La serata lo permetteva, quindi abbiamo scelto di stare fuori, ma non avremmo mai pensato che “fuori” significasse stare in mezzo a una strada con tavoli, sedie in plastica e un coperto discutibile. Io, in particolare, ero in bilico tra marciapiede e asfalto, rendendo non poco scomoda la seduta.
Volevamo un antipasto, ma non c’era. Ci sono solo portate singole, ad esempio capocollo, polpette, ecc., al modico prezzo di 10-12 euro a portata. Ci adeguiamo e ordiniamo. Le portate sono da considerare sufficienti per una persona. Un piatto in particolare ci ha lasciato perplessi: zucchine fritte in pastella, 10€. Anche gli altri piatti non erano adeguati al prezzo, ma le zucchine erano scandalose.
La ciliegina sulla torta è arrivata quando nelle polpette con sugo si è palesato un capello incastonato nella polpetta. Piatto mandato indietro e non voluto più. Il filetto era buono, ma erano sì e no 300 grammi per 25€. Arriva il conto e il piatto mandato indietro non era presente. Amari e grappe offerti, ma c’era un coperto in più che non abbiamo contestato. Pagato e adios, a mai più.
