17/03/2024: AVOID IT!!! Even though they told me NOT to go there, and having read some good reviews, I still wanted to try... what a disappointment and what a fool the two couples I had invited for a pizza!. We decide to take 3 "Tuscan tastings" (€12 each) TO BE SPLIT per couple... after a decent wait, 3 trays arrive containing 1 disc of insipid pre-cooked polenta with an unidentified mix of cream cheeses on top, half a slice of bread topped with cooked onion and a 10x10 cm square of puff pastry with perhaps black cabbage inside but with a fridge flavour... that's all!!! Then the pizza: large but very thin, arrives almost semi-cold, not good at all (undercooked) and poor in toppings.. Furthermore, I did not find the kindness expressed by others, because to my question if the starter was all there, the response was rather annoyed "what do you expect? It was for 1 person, not for 2". Finally, 2 euros cover charge for a paper napkin and a reusable plastic placemat... well, if this is a pizzeria, it's better to have a slice of bread at home...

13/05/2024: After a long car drive we were just waiting to find something cozy and local - Italian around the next corner. And we found it at this place. We ordered wine (and paid basically nothing) and different types of pizza. The stone oven baked pizza dough + our respective toppings were soooo good. Might never come back but want to recommend the cozy atmosphere for other travellers.

07/04/2024: Maybe my expectations were high since it was Tuscany, average but for the prices I would have expected larger portions... 4 slices of ham are not really suitable for the price displayed!!! I would definitely try another place.

17/02/2024: Very light and fragrant pizza topped with excellent quality ingredients. Nice but not memorable environment, it still deserves 5 stars because unlike most similar places it has heating in the bathroom.

15/02/2024: Doppio menu in questo ristorante, che è anche pizzeria: carne e pesce. Cosa inusuale in mezza montagna: nella frazione La Lima, tra San Marcello Pistoiese e Cutigliano. Abbiamo scelto piatti di mare: ottimo e ricco l'antipasto misto, buoni il polpo e la grigliata. Prezzi medi (coperto € 2), bella sala e servizio adeguato.

26/10/2023: Questo ristorante pizzeria, nonostante il nome “Grotta Azzurra”, si trova sulla montagna pistoiese, in località La Lima, in prossimità del bivio per Abetone o Bagni di Lucca. L’aspetto esterno, nonostante l’insegna visibile, non cattura particolarmente l’attenzione, ma dopo essere entrati ed aver salito le scale, ci appare l’ampio locale con caratteristiche mattonelle decorate alle pareti che hanno per soggetto la Costiera Amalfitana. Ambiente accogliente, molto pulito e ordinato. Cucina di pesce e di carne ed anche pizza. Ottima qualità (tortelli tipici locali a dir poco squisiti). Servizio veloce e personale gentile. Prezzi nella media. E’ possibile consumare anche pranzo di lavoro con un menu che comprende primo, secondo, contorno, e acqua a 12 euro con diverse scelte. Parcheggio dall’altra parte della strada. Ci torneremo volentieri.

15/07/2023: Ambiente informale che forse avrebbe bisogno di un ammodernamento, situato lungo la statale che da Pistoia porta a Prato. A parte il locale, pesce ottimo cozze, antipasto e primi deliziosi, anche la pizza è molto buona. Personale giovane, gentile, servizio veloce, bagno pulito

05/10/2023: Delicious pizza for lunch with a cold beer. Service was quick and efficient . Quaint corner with other restaurants. Beautiful day for sitting outside and visiting Montecatini.

04/11/2023: The pizzas were cold, and they were not pizzas but very oily, dry and flavourless flatbreads. The truffle burrata was milk chewed and spit on the pizza. The potatoes were good.

12/09/2023: Pizza fantastica, servizio cordiale, locale molto accogliente e arredamento completamente nuovo. Consigliatissimo sia in inverno che in estate, grazie a un tranquillo e confortevole spazio esterno con veranda e tavolini all'aperto. Se siete in zona Valdinievole, vi consiglio una sosta.

10/09/2023: Siamo stati qui decine volte e la pizza è sempre ottima: sottile, ben cotta, super farcita... come piace a noi. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il proprietario è molto gentile.
