10/10/2025: What can I say? The chef, with whom we personally reserved a table yesterday, has learned his craft. The "fish soup" is top-notch. The tomato sauce "soup" has a truly perfect balance between the acidity of the tomatoes and the sugar, which brings them to life. Simply brilliant. Mama Sita, in a nutshell. It couldn't be better. It was just as delicious from bite to bite as you couldn't achieve it yourself. The recommended wine complemented the taste experience positively. We had the soup for one person and shared it because we wanted a second dish. We had the homemade ravioli. That was the crowning glory. The homemade sauce, too, was a gourmet's dream. A Michelin-starred restaurant could add this chef to its menu once a month. Provided the best fresh produce is used. He buys fresh produce every morning, as he told me. So make a reservation and enjoy—it's worth every cent. And to top it all off, there was a lemon sorbet. For the lady at the table, it's normal, and for me, it's vodka and a cafe doppio. Unfortunately, it's not in the picture.

14/03/2026: We went to this pizzeria a few days ago. The pie is spectacular, crispy on the bottom and top and soft on the inside. It's a Livorno special, one of the best I've ever eaten. The pizza was excellent, just like the pie. Words are pointless; it's a must-try! There was a slight delay due to an issue, but the food was so good that the wait went unnoticed. Plus, the staff and the owners, a husband and wife team, were incredibly kind and friendly. Thank you!! See you soon!!

09/02/2026: A little gem in Seccheto on Elba Island, a restaurant with simple furnishings, well-spaced tables, and a tidy, clean atmosphere. The menu is classy and substantial, with a young chef whose creativity and professionalism are astonishing. The dining room staff is attentive and very knowledgeable. Excellent value for money. A wonderful discovery! Highly recommended.

27/01/2026: We used to come to Elba every September. We didn't go for five years, and here we are back in 2025. Vecchio Forno was one of our favorite restaurants on the island. You could eat fresh, local produce there. In five years, things have clearly changed. New management? New owner? In any case, there's very little fresh produce. The fish is frozen. There are no vegetables, or very few. When there are, like that tiny zucchini cake appetizer whose price is as exorbitant as its size, they're cooked and you can't recognize the look or taste of fresh produce. In short, the entire menu is designed to manage stock from the freezer as easily as possible. To top it all off, there was a plastic lid in the tiramisu. In short, an establishment to avoid. It's a shame they destroyed this place, which prided itself on serving only fresh, local products.

13/11/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had dinner at I Treccanti wine bar and restaurant, and the experience was truly excellent. The place immediately strikes you with its welcoming and refined atmosphere, with a beautiful stone interior that creates a warm and pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening. We ordered the pork shank, which was simply extraordinary: tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The other meat dishes also proved to be of excellent quality, a sign of great attention to the raw materials. The selection of drinks and cocktails was also very popular, prepared by skilled and creative bartenders, capable of creating truly excellent drinks. A special thanks goes to Martina, the owner, who is truly charming, welcoming, and always available, making the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. In conclusion, I Treccanti is one of the best places in La Spezia: a place where you can eat well, drink even better, and enjoy an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. Kudos to the entire staff for their courtesy, professionalism, and passion, evident in every detail.

22/01/2026: We stopped for lunch with a group of friends and asked to try local appetizers and a roast, both served centerpiece. Discount store fare, no local produce, and a Michelin-starred restaurant bill. Awful experience!

07/12/2025: On Saturdays and Sundays, the wait for takeout can be long; it's best to order pizza in advance. I assume it can also be long to eat in the dining room, based on what I've seen while waiting for takeout pizzas. I plan on eating there soon, even though the dining room is small (I think they open an outdoor area in a small courtyard in the summer) and some tables are right up against the counter where takeout waits. The pizza, however, is excellent, in terms of size and consistency, more similar to Roman pizza than Neapolitan pizza. The dough is excellent, and the toppings are excellent and plentiful. The fried panzerotti are excellent; they're generously sized and the fillings are appropriate.

26/01/2026: Intrigued by the reviews and the website, I wanted to try this place, but I was truly disappointed. There wasn't even a hint of gourmet food. Average quality with high prices. I won't be returning.

15/12/2025: December 2025 The last time we ate here for an 18th birthday (about a year or two ago), we had a great time; the pizza was good, and we had a fantastic evening. The opposite happened a week ago, for a friend's birthday. The real problem was the pizzas: all burned, not just one or two, but about 15. I was the only one who didn't order one (and I thought I'd made the right choice). Until I was presented with an overcooked, unappealing burger, with about 30 grams (no exaggeration) of vegetables (all for about €17-18, and the vegetables were an extra charge instead of fries). Not to mention the drinks, about €6.50 for a really poorly poured draft beer. I would have been truly happy to have spent my €25.40 on a good dinner, especially since, after ordering bottles and other things to celebrate, they could have given us 40 cents each on a total of about €400 and made it a nice sum. Last but not least, if they wanted some of our cake, they could have let us know, instead of keeping it quiet and keeping it, since we forgot about it in the confusion. But I think at this point they didn't mind, especially since it was very good. That said, maybe it was a coincidence, but I won't be returning. Edit for the reply: Good evening, I see you didn't like the review, but I didn't imagine you'd call us begging us to take it down, offering us discount coupons in exchange, etc. The review remains to report an experience, nothing more, nothing less. I just wanted to share this unpleasant experience. It's possible to mess up service, but when all the dishes come out wrong, you have to admit it (burned or cooked incorrectly, it doesn't matter, they're not good, period, and I recognize our mistake in not saying anything at the end of the dinner). You suggested we send all the dishes back, but that was impossible. It would have been downright mean to send back about 15 dishes on a Saturday night after waiting about an hour, given how many of us there were; we probably finished by 1 a.m., not to mention the stress on the staff. Also, I didn't even dare insult your background—as you called me, brewmaster or pastry chef—since that seems childish to me. Regarding the cake, we kindly offered to cut it ourselves so as not to disturb anyone, so I don't see the point of mentioning it. That said, if you can't take criticism (since your response was capped with insults), I'm sorry. The staff, however, was kind and helpful; no criticism of them. Have a good evening.

16/09/2025: Very kind and helpful staff. We went to Sunset on Monday (the day before the season closed). We had a great time. They reserved a table for us with a spectacular sunset view. Even though we'd booked with The Fork, we had a dog and they welcomed her with water. The food was plentiful, delicious, and of high quality. Highly recommended.

29/08/2025: One evening we wanted to go out for pizza, a walk because we were staying in a nearby village. The place is near a swimming pool, the atmosphere is quiet, the staff are friendly and always attentive, the quality/price ratio is excellent, and the fried food is spectacular. We're sorry we didn't discover this place sooner. Also, after leaving, we realized we had my daughter's braces, and when I returned, the entire staff (and I mean the entire staff) turned everything upside down to find it. They were fantastic, they went above and beyond. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend it!
