A simple dining room with a view of the pizza oven and a covered terrace in the pedestrian zone. Fast, friendly service, even when it's busy. Prices are reasonable.

04/10/2025: Yes, the ambiance is only moderately chic. But the service and truly exceptional pizza make up for it. The menu also includes some exciting fish dishes, which we didn't try. But we've been here twice just for the pizza and will be back.

05/10/2025: Our recent dining experience at Porto Di Mare in Livorno was nothing short of extraordinary—a true culinary highlight that we will not forget. From the moment we stepped inside, we were treated to a refined yet welcoming atmosphere that perfectly set the stage for the incredible meal to come. The focus on fresh, high-quality seafood is evident in every dish, and the preparations are executed with remarkable skill. To start, the Italian oysters (can't remember the Italian name, but the ones in the photo) were spectacular. They were incredibly fresh, plump, and clean-tasting, presenting a beautiful briny essence that was the perfect opener. For the main course, I indulged in the tuna steak, and it was simply sublime. Prepared to perfection, the exterior had a beautiful sear while the inside was gorgeously pink and tender, melting in my mouth. It was clear that this was a top-grade cut of fish, handled with the respect it deserved. My son had the stuffed calamari and my wife fried sea fruits. They were great, but the tuna steak is highly recommended. To cap off the evening, the dessert—a Fondant—was the ideal conclusion. Rich, decadent, and executed flawlessly with a warm, gooey center, it was a comforting and sophisticated finish to a magnificent meal. Finally, a special thank you must go to our waiter, Antonella. Her service was the epitome of professionalism and warmth. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped make our dinner feel effortless and truly special. Porto Di Mare isn't just a restaurant; it's a destination for anyone seeking an authentic, high-end Italian seafood experience. 27/09/2025: We were looking for a good pizzeria around Castglioncello, and this one was truly excellent. Homemade dough and a truly delicious flavor. The crust was also perfect and not soggy. Truly perfect pizza, something we didn't experience so quickly on our trip to Tuscany.

28/09/2025: The Calafata restaurant is located directly on the Porto Azzurro harbor. It has an indoor dining area and an outdoor area overlooking the harbor. There were two of us, and we ordered a tuna tartare appetizer that was simply perfect: the cut of meat, the seasonings were excellent, and the meat was of the highest quality. We then ordered a plate of textbook spaghetti with clams, and the sea bream and baked potatoes were excellent. The restaurant's value for money is excellent: fresh, tasty fish at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the service was a bit below expectations for the location and the menu. We waited a while for our spaghetti with clams, and the waiters were rushed. Regardless, this is a restaurant I would recommend, especially for a dinner with friends or as a couple.

11/09/2025: Superb pizza. The best I've had on Elba. The decor is rather simple, but the pizza makes up for it. All at very reasonable prices, too. Locals in particular go there to eat or take their food with them. Highly recommended. Not just Maga, but also Mega.

10/09/2025: Spectacular pizza. Modest size, but rich toppings more than make up for it, making it filling enough. I had a stracchino cheese and sausage and would have ordered another one right after because it was so good. My wife, a vegetarian, had a pizza with tuna, onion, and capers. The pizza isn't too thin and crunchy, thankfully, because at least you're eating something like that, not focaccia dressed up as pizza. The variety is very wide, even schiacciata. You can sit inside, the atmosphere is casual, and there's even free cell phone charging with chargers. However, we preferred to take away so we could enjoy it at home in peace. Highly recommended!

26/07/2025: The ingredients are high-quality, the revisited pizza dough is good, but I personally prefer the traditional one with a variety of doughs and more sophisticated flours. The quality/price ratio could be improved.

20/07/2025: I think the price is excessive, given that the pizzas are very small, thin, and sparsely topped. They look more like covaccini than pizzas. Among the pizzas, there was a della (the only one that could be saved), a black forest (which should have been heavily topped but had very little to no toppings), and a sausage and stracchino. The stracchino was out, so we asked if it was possible to add burrata, which we were charged €3.50 more for without being told in advance.

06/09/2025: We were looking for a pizzeria in the area, and since we were on vacation in Castagneto, we did a search and this one was listed as one of the best...and that's exactly what we found!! The pizza was really good and had the same old-fashioned aroma. The lady who served us was also very pleasant.
