05/12/2025: A true gem in Porto Azzurro! We dined at Calafata Osteria and can't recommend it highly enough. The restaurant overlooks the sea, creating a relaxing and romantic atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a proper seafood dinner. The staff was simply impeccable: kind, attentive, and always smiling, they made us feel welcomed and at home. But the real star was the seafood: incredibly fresh, expertly cooked, and showcased in every dish without too many frills, leaving room for the authentic flavors of the sea. And above all, the restaurant's sea view and the fact that the bill was truly perfect—in fact, we thought we'd spend more—made the experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

23/09/2025: We've been coming here for a few years, but this is the first time we've written a review, because the place deserves it. We've almost always ordered the so-called tourist menu, which isn't touristy at all: always impeccable fish starters, an excellent mixed fried fish main course, side dishes, and even wine at a more than fair price. Add to that the very friendly and courteous staff and the beautiful view of the Rio Marina harbor, and it's one of the best restaurants on Elba. Congratulations to the management and staff, and see you next year! We want to try the pizza, which looks wonderful...

We were immediately greeted with exemplary elegance and kindness by Mr. Giuliano—a truly special, friendly, and hospitable person who made our arrival unforgettable. Special praise goes to our waiter, Simone, whose courtesy and cheerfulness are among the most genuine I've ever encountered. We ordered two pizzas in a packed dining room, and in less than 10 minutes they were served: light, crispy, and of superb quality. My sincere compliments go to the entire team, especially pizza chef Marco—a true master of his craft, who elevated the evening to an authentic gourmet experience. 13/12/2025: I was invited to lunch and it was a truly delightful experience. The spacious dining room reminded me of the pizzerias of the 1960s and 1970s. The dishes revealed authentic, enduring flavors. The tortelli were a masterpiece, followed by a truly unsurpassed fried squid, shrimp, and vegetables. The staff was always friendly and smiling (which is not always the case). I will be back very soon.

13/01/2026: I've been dining at Romito for several years, going in the spring and late summer. The pizza is average. What's really worth trying, and what I'd like to highlight positively, is the Livorno-style cacciucco, a truly hearty dish made following the authentic recipe. The fish is cooked at different times and has just the right amount of broth. Tuscan bruschetta is placed on the bottom of the dish—a delight! And the hint of chili pepper gives the dish even more body. The interior could use some improvement, and the staff is often too hasty; cold, almost unfriendly, and a bit annoying. The view is certainly a great plus. You're faced with a truly evocative panorama. You just need to look up to admire a magnificent castle, the Sonnino, and the Calignaia beach below you. A corner of Tuscany that will astonish the spirit. You're welcome to bring your furry friends to the restaurant, both inside and outside. I won't comment on the hotel; I haven't had the opportunity to stay there.

04/01/2026: A restaurant in a spectacular location on the Livorno coast, with decent service and medium-high quality food (the fish and fried fish are excellent). The interior and exterior could use a refresh, but it remains more than acceptable. Prices, for what they offer, are more than reasonable.

02/10/2025: I found this restaurant by chance on a business trip, traveling between Portoferraio and Portoazzurro. I had a delicious seafood dinner, beautifully served in a welcoming and clean atmosphere. The service was excellent and the price was reasonable.

30/09/2025: We had a reservation, and when we arrived, there weren't enough chairs or table settings. The staff weren't very attentive or chatty the entire time (drinks were left out without comment), and the overall impression wasn't particularly inviting. The food, however, was very good; the chef was excellent.

20/09/2025: The best pizza restaurant on the island, hands down! Delicious, fresh, and tasty pizzas and fish, cooked with love and passion! Extremely friendly service and fair prices. The same loyal customers have been here for years, a lovely, friendly family!

28/12/2025: Authentic food with old-fashioned home cooking. We waited very little and ate a spectacular risotto and a perfectly prepared fried fish platter. If you're in the area, definitely try it. Excellent.
