27/02/2025: Where a pizza becomes a culinary experience... During our 14-day trip to Piedmont we learned that the quality in the restaurants everywhere is extremely good. This experience ranges from the gourmet restaurant to the simple osteria to the agriturismo farm in the countryside. The people who live here attach great importance to fresh, genuine products of local origin and of the best quality. When we returned to our accommodation near Sarezzano after an extensive excursion, we decided to visit the pizzeria La Pesa in the village of Grue, just a few km away, without making a reservation. The restaurant is the only one in the 300-resident community. Because we got there very early, we were able to get a table on the terrace. As the evening progressed, the restaurant was filled to capacity - half the village and surrounding residents seemed to come here for dinner. We both chose a pizza at the highest price level and were very surprised and very satisfied with the result, baked in the charcoal oven. The dough was prepared with a gray flour that comes from the village. The color was similar to a pinsa dough, but made from different types of flour. The tomato topping was San Marzano Agro Nacerino Sarnese - these are the best grown at the foot of Vesuvius. Fior di Latte (cow's milk mozzarella) from Campania, spinach, nuts, ricotta and salsiccia were also used. The result: a pizza like no other. In addition to the aromatic San Marzano tomatoes, my wife's pizza was served with buffalo mozzarella, cooked panchetta, cherry tomatoes, basil, semi-dry yellow tomatoes and Evo olive oil, which originally comes from Umbrian olives and was recultivated by the University of Perugia. The difference to a pizza in Germany, which is formulated for maximum profit, is gigantic. In this pizzeria we cook for the people who live here and not for a quick euro with tourists who won't be coming back anyway. That's why we love Piedmontese cuisine, where the quality of ingredients and taste are priority - happy Italy.

22/02/2025: The place is modest in size but welcoming, with polite and helpful staff; correct prices for the quality offered. Instead of the usual single pizzas we chose the pizza by the meter which was of excellent quality and filled us up without exaggeration. Highly recommended for an evening in the company of friends and family who want to eat a meal GOOD pizza.

01/01/2025: Di ritorno da Piacenza ci siamo fermati x gustare i fantasmagorici panzerotti raccomandati da MAIORANTO la bontà ha superato tutte le aspettative........eccellenti anche focaccia al formaggio e la famosa BELACALDA....( farinata ) ..un buon incontro tra puglia e Piemonte consigliatissimo

La cena: - birra Zwick'l Kellerbier 0,5 l alc. 5,3% vol. - birra alla spina chiara piccola. - focaccia al formaggio (crescenza). - pizza 4 stagioni (pomodoro, mozzarella, prosciutto, funghi, carciofini). Caffè a chiudere. Non è previsto il menù degustazione; à la carte 3 antipasti da 13 a 15€; 7 primi da 12 a 14€; 7 focacce da 8 a 9€; 5 secondi di carne da 13 a 22€; 4 secondi di pesce da 16 a 20€; 3 contorni da 3 a 4€; 39 pizze da 5 a 12€; 11 dessert a 6€. 16/02/2025: Situato alle porte di Ovada provenendo da Novi Ligure questo bel locale occupa il piano terra di una villa a lato della strada. L'ambiente è arioso e luminoso, i tavoli ben disposti, l'arredamento di buon gusto. il menù non è molto ampio ma ben assortito con proposte di gastronomia locale ben cucinate e ottimamente presentate. Pregevole la presenza nel menù la possibilità di ordinare anche delle focacce farcite che sicuramente torneremo per provare. Noi abbiamo preso una classica milanese di generose proporzioni con ottime patate fritte al punto giusto e anch'esse di grande pezzatura. Ottimo e gustoso il magatello rosato servito come vitello tonnato con salsa della tradizione e buone verdure di contorno, Per finire abbiamo diviso una deliziosa zuppa inglese casalinga. Con un quartino di vino rosso, acqua e caffè abbiamo speso 53 euro in totale che ritengo una spesa coerente con il tipo di locale ed il servizio offerto.

06/03/2025: Mamma mia, the historic pizzeria in Alessandria no longer exists. Arrived at 7.30pm and booked. Served at 9.15pm. A soft and undercooked pizza. Nothing else to add.

20/03/2025: Objective judgment: from how it is praised, I expected better. The staff is very polite, the pizzas are generous and "beautiful" (aesthetically speaking) but their quality is, unfortunately, average. The dough is a bit rubbery and the mushrooms were acidic, with a pickled smell so strong that it spoiled the other aromas. I recommend improving the quality of the ingredients: the saving games are boring, I prefer to pay a little more but fully enjoy the pizza and... come back!

29/01/2025: Siamo tornati in questo locale per riprovare altri piatti. Ottimi le fettuccine con carciofi e gamberi e buonissima la tartar alla piemontese. Le materie prime sempre buonissime, il locale sempre pulito e la signora che ci ha servito gentile come sempre.....ci rivedremo sicuramente

29/01/2025: Cena magnifica, plin deliziosi e guancia che si scioglie in bocca, il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo nebbiolo, consigliato dalla gentile signora in sala. Qualità sempre al top e materie prime eccellenti. Un tiramisù spaziale!!

22/02/2025: Place frequented on three occasions. The first very positive. The other two disappointing to say the least. When two of us arrived, at 9pm on a summer evening, he made us sit down, saying that we could only order pizzas. When the drinks arrive, he takes the order for the pizzas. After 20 minutes he comes to tell us that he has nothing to season them. Not even mozzarella. At most he could make a focaccia. We ask for a cutting board or some alternative and he tells us he has absolutely nothing in the kitchen. Absurd. Last visit, wanting to give another chance, empty place, waiting for maybe 4 people considering two tables set. We order two aperitifs, for the platter he tells us to wait for the other customers (?????). Alternative dish, onion soup. SINGLE DISH ON THE MENU. If you don't have choices or have theme nights, write it out, but above all a place that has limited food and can't even put mozzarella on a pizza, you can't hear it. Never, never again
