18/04/2026: The staff is young, friendly, yet professional. The food is good. The place is welcoming and comfortable, clean, with old-fashioned farm tools hanging on the walls. Doilies are everywhere—on the tables, on the furniture, on the lamps, and sometimes even on the plates. There's phone service, which isn't a given given the location. The price is reasonable for the quality. If I have any criticisms, it's definitely not the trattoria.
The road to get there is a bit rough.
You have to climb some stairs to enter the trattoria (uncomfortable for those with mobility issues). It's worth it!
29/03/2026: A charming place, nestled between the provinces of Genoa and Alessandria (we're in the province of Alessandria, to be precise), the trattoria is immersed in the absolute silence of a forest.
The cuisine is excellent, the dishes are traditional (more Ligurian than Piedmontese), but with a modern twist. Having never been there before and only having seen the name and location on the map, I would have expected something completely different: good, but homemade, very homemade dishes 😉
The service was impeccable, even though there were only us and one other table (for two).
The only downside is the road to get there: winding, sometimes narrow, and in several places unpaved with significant bumps. Not exactly comfortable in the evening, especially on the way back if you've been drinking (moderately!).
I recommend a trip for lunch, especially to enjoy the scenery!
