As for the hotel, everything was great. They were very accommodating with many of our special requests. The view and staff are fantastic. I can only say I recommend it.
As for the restaurants, we tried many of the options there and everything was delicious, so I can recommend it as well.
20/10/2025: A terrible experience. I'm reluctant to leave a review like that, but I don't like being made fun of.
More than an hour's wait for a pizza in a room with less than 10 people.
After a couple of requests, a further wait, and an unexpected mockery from a waitress who was probably new to the experience, a prepackaged and raw pizza arrived.
We got up and left, paying only for drinks and a cover charge. (And it really takes a lot for me to do something like that.)
Maybe this will help the restaurant manager understand that they can definitely do better.
Luckily, a little further on, we found a decent restaurant.

10/02/2026: 🩷One of the best places I've eaten recently! Generous dishes, fantastic flavors and fresh products. Everything from the antipasti to the desserts was prepared with care. The friendly staff and the very comfortable environment make the experience even more enjoyable. Moreover, the restaurant has a wonderful view of Lake Como, which makes everything even more magical. I recommend it without hesitation to anyone who wants a good, plentiful and delicious meal! 👩🍳

02/02/2026: It’s a good memory to stay at Hotel Riviera, I arrived in late night at 10 pm, and staff still waiting on welcome, feel safety for travelers. The hotel is located by the lake, in a peaceful area. I can see the lake through the window. I like this hotel because I feel like living with local people, in their home. Thank you for good service, before leaving I have some conversation with Italian man, in this hotel, he is a friendly person, hope we see them again. Greetings from Thailand.

He found it, arranged registered mail to send it back to us, and patiently answered all our questions during the 3-week wait. His kindness, care, and dedication truly touched us. We are deeply grateful for everything he has done. In addition, the owner, Andre always make us feel welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast and coffee are the best we have tasted in Como.

22/09/2025: Simply delicious. The staff is first-class. I especially loved the homemade tiramisu.
13/09/2025: Red wine was served chilled.
The spaghetti carbonara wasn't very flavorful. The lasagna was okay.
The salad was probably from a package and had wilted edges.
Rainbow trout was served instead of trout, so it's a fish from a fish farm.
A few hundred meters further on, you can enjoy more authentic Italian cuisine.

Quick and very friendly service.
Extraordinarily low price on the lunch special.
The place is housed in a tiny space: kudos to the two workers for their patience. The few chairs and two tables available outside overlook the street. However, there are small gardens nearby in case you want to eat outside.

Mini, tasteless pizzas with low-quality ingredients.
The kitchen offers very few basic, makeshift dishes.
The service is rushed and disregards the customer.
All this at high prices, with a €3 cover charge that is completely illogical.
Avoid.

17/02/2026: Absolute gem of a restaurant near the Sheraton Lake Como. The dad makes the food, the mom makes the desserts upstairs where they live, the uncle and daughter are the waiter and the waitress. The 2 dogs live upstairs but escape and show up in the restaurant if someone leaves the door open. Get the pizza, fritto misto, and tiramisu!
