The cleanliness is impeccable, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Special mention goes to the soundproofing and the beautiful view from the window. The staff are the real asset of the property. Professional and always smiling, they are always available to offer advice on local attractions and attentive to our every need. The icing on the cake is the restaurant: delicious dishes, attention to detail, and prompt, impeccable table service. The location is strategic and extremely convenient. The hotel is located in a central yet quiet area, ideal for walking around and easily reaching the main points of interest. Easy to reach and perfect as a base.

29/06/2026: Where the locals go. Likely THE best bakery/pastry shop in Menaggio. No coffee and no place to sit. It's all take away. But so worth it.

21/07/2026: What a wonderful evening :) GRAZIE The food was incredibly delicious. We had sensational mussels! The mussels are steamed in a pot with lemon and pepper. For the main course, we chose the swordfish and the fish platter. The pictures speak for themselves. As mentioned several times in the reviews, we were offered a glass of Prosecco at the beginning and Limoncello and/or Meloncello after the meal. However, this shouldn't be the reason for your visit! ... Thank you so much for the wonderful evening 🫶

18/07/2026: Beware of a tourist trap! The entire staff speaks Italian and Hindi, though not everyone speaks Italian or English well. If you want authentic Italian cuisine, steer clear of this place. The quality of the products is the worst I've encountered in Italy. I ended up having to rush back to the hotel...

09/05/2026: I've known El Sombrero for many years, the management has changed, but the pizza chef has been working there for over 35 years. The Atomica pizza is truly succulent... good Taggiasca olives, excellent Gola cheese, really good salami with just the right amount of spice... The mozzarella might not be the best, but it's edible. The specialty of this pizzeria is the size of the pizzas: standard or large. The pizzas are oval, and as you can see from the photo, they're truly XL. The bresaola, arugula, and parmesan are very good. The desserts are all Bindi; I didn't try it, but it depends on your taste. The coffee is good... The staff is very kind, friendly, and very attentive to their customers. The waiter who looked after our table was very nice, asking us how we were doing a couple of times... Obviously, everything was wonderful... We stayed for an hour because the atmosphere is welcoming and clean, and above all, they don't rush you to leave, which unfortunately happens almost everywhere in Milan. I will be back soon with friends and family.
