19/08/2026: Very disappointing service and, unfortunately, the food wasn't good either. I have truly never experienced such poor service in a restaurant. Empty plates and glasses weren't cleared away. Instead, the next full plates and glasses were simply placed next to them on the table. Apparently, you were then expected to clear the empty items yourself to some free corner of the table. The service was also extremely cumbersome when ordering. It was apparently too complicated for the waiter to first take our appetizer and drinks and then ask again later about the main course. Instead, he refused to return until we had the complete order. I have never experienced anything like it. The drinks arrived in cans – more like something from a cheap snack bar than a restaurant. Everything was placed on the table with a loud clatter, and then the waiter disappeared immediately without taking anything empty or even asking if everything was alright. You also had to ask for a spoon for the spaghetti; the waiters never thought to provide one. Unfortunately, the food was also disappointing. The tomato and mozzarella appetizer was very small for €13. The pizza was partially burnt and didn't taste particularly good either. My companion's pasta arrived about 15 minutes after my pizza, so I had already finished eating by the time my second main course was served. The meat in the carbonara was also disappointing. Overall, I think the price-performance ratio is completely off. Poor service, disorganized timing, and food that doesn't justify the price. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

06/08/2026: There were six of us for dinner, and we all had pizza. The next day, all six of us felt sick... The food was really poor quality and tasteless (even the desserts). The waiters were very kind. I don't recommend it.

01/06/2026: A truly enjoyable dinner in every way. We dined outdoors in a beautiful, cool, and well-kept garden, which created a particularly relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional, with a genuine customer focus evident in every detail. The quality of the fish was evident from the first bite: incredibly fresh, flavorful, and crafted with great care. To conclude the evening, two homemade desserts deserve a special mention: a creamy and perfectly balanced tiramisu and a simply exceptional cheesecake. An experience that won us over with the quality of the cuisine, the hospitality, and the pleasant atmosphere. I recommend this place without hesitation and will gladly return.

28/07/2026: I've been getting pizza and kebab here for 7 years!!!! No one in the area or in the surrounding towns can beat it!! Padre Pio is a guarantee: everything is delicious at the most affordable prices. I recommend it to everyone; I'm convinced that anyone who speaks badly of it is out of competition and jealousy.... Thank you so much for everything, you're absolutely fantastic.

29/07/2026: What can I say? Tried it today for the first time and it will also be the last. The usual bread basket already mentioned in another review, ordered mixed grill, I won't tell you, 1 half-raw cuttlefish, half a burnt fillet of who knows what, two prawns I can't comment on. A sorbet, to finish, with a block of ice inside the spoon of who knows how much. 1 water and 1 Coke, no coffee, well, €80 for two, perhaps a bit excessive.

30/06/2026: I ordered takeaway döner. Overall it was very good, just they added a little too much chili, so those who don't like spicy food should specify it.

20/06/2026: Unfortunately, finding halal food in Italy is difficult. We'll stick with cheese pizza or pasta. Then, at one point, we came across Mevlana's statue, and we were starving to the bone. They even have baklava. Thanks for your help, Furkan, and thanks to the Turkish master baker whose name I don't know for the delicious pide.

20/06/2026: I've never left a dish almost untouched. The pizzoccheri were clearly reheated and hard, the potatoes bordering on undercooked, the cheese was poor quality, and the vegetables were stringy. Even the casoncelli were poor quality. Obviously, taste is subjective, but getting pizzoccheri wrong... Very friendly and helpful staff.

26/08/2026: Very disappointing. We had booked a table at this establishment to enjoy a day at the beach club during our vacation. Unfortunately, the weather prevented us from doing so, as it was raining. We went there in person to try and find a solution with the establishment, but the only option offered was to reschedule our reservation for another day. Since it was our last day of vacation, this was obviously not possible. We then asked if it was possible to find an alternative, such as a partial refund or simply deducting the cost of the reservation from the restaurant, but no solution was offered. What is most disappointing is the establishment's lack of understanding and flexibility. We fully understand that the weather is not their responsibility, but we would have appreciated a minimum of consideration for customers who had booked and paid for a service they ultimately couldn't use. Especially considering the price of the sun loungers, it's not just a small amount… A very disappointing experience, especially on vacation.

23/08/2026: A lovely beach club on Lake Como. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive and not always practical. The parasols aren't adjustable, so you can't stay in the shade all day. Also, the water area isn't very large for guests without children.

08/03/2026: I would have liked a better experience, both at the hotel and at the restaurant, but that wasn't the case... 1) It doesn't seem like a hotel as advertised, but rather a room rental (the reception is actually NOT open on site). On the day of check-in, the entire property was closed, and I was about to contact Booking.com to file a complaint when, by chance, I saw a small door separate from the main entrance. I tried to ring the bell, and after 2 or 3 attempts, the owner answered, saying she was at home and would arrive. We waited about 15 or 20 minutes after arriving before entering the room. The owner should have warned us of this in the two phone calls prior to booking, thus avoiding making a bad impression. 2) I had requested a quiet room, but a group of young people made noise until almost 2 a.m., until I left the room, cursing and demanding order and respect. The owner should have reminded the young people to behave appropriately, given that they were NOT in a cabin or apartment reserved for them, but in hotel rooms with other guests. 3) The room was soundproofed non-existent; you could hear everything from the toilet flushing to simple conversation, let alone laughter and shouting. 4) Insufficient electrical outlets in the bathroom. 5) Missing mirror light. 6) The rooms are separated from the restaurant/breakfast area, so you need to dress warmly and bring an umbrella in case of rain. 7) Despite having requested the menu by email on 31, they only gave us a sheet of paper with a few selected dishes. Unfortunately, we found the portions to be small, the dishes tasteless, and the prices ridiculous. The proximity to Switzerland and/or the foreign tourists during the summer months likely contributed to this decline in quality and an unjustified price increase. After an appetizer (just a taste) for two and a first course each, I didn't dare order a second course, wasting another 23 euros. I preferred to order a pizza, avoiding leaving hungry and looking for another restaurant. P.S. After the appetizer, I specifically asked if they could throw in 50g more pasta for the spaghetti, but it seems that this was not understood... so for 50 cents of pasta they made a customer go crazy. Applause!!

16/04/2026: The food is very good, with generous portions that are enough to fill you up, so good value for money. They also serve pizza for lunch.

12/04/2026: We came for breakfast. We ordered cream croissants and cappuccinos. Fifteen minutes later, we were told there was only one plain croissant and two bombolone left, even though there were four of us. What they brought us were cappuccinos that turned out to be latte macchiatos! And when we went to complain at the bar, an arrogant old woman remained completely indifferent to our remarks, looking down on us and saying, "If you say so." It was a nice little moment in the morning before leaving this beautiful region and heading home, but it put us in a bad mood and ruined the end of our stay. Where is the Italian hospitality? Where is the impeccable service and the typical products that the Swiss envy and come to Italy to find? While the campsite is fantastic, this bar-restaurant is best forgotten!
