20/05/2025: There is a wide choice of menus of various types.... The staff is polite, available to help and fast but not superficial in preparation. The place is clean and tidy.

14/05/2025: From the perspective of a German tourist: This is a simple, yet lively, and well-attended pizzeria in a backyard, frequented predominantly by locals. On a Saturday evening, we were given the last available table. The food is typical, with gluten-free options available. The quality is decent, and the service is prompt. In addition to wine by the glass, several bottles of decent regional wine are also available. We opted for an Ormeasco, as Dolcetto is called here.
This review explicitly reflects the authenticity of its simplicity and normality. Anyone expecting "showmanship" is in the wrong place.
04/05/2025: How nice to have an entire vegan menu available, from starters to desserts (sorbets). Not a couple of choices, but a complete menu, with 5 first courses and as many second courses. Plus, rice mozzarella available to make every pizza vegan. Very friendly staff, "old fashioned" place but without serious defects.

13/05/2025: The restaurant is well located in the old town; the decor is understated and refined, and the white-linen tables add a touch of elegance. Which explains why the "coperto" is still €2.50 per person!
The welcome is decent, but the explanations requested were confusing.
As for the food (which is the most important), well, it's nothing special: passable pizzas, flat and without sidewalks, their must-have "homemade tiramisu," okay, creamy as you like, but with so little coffee that the biscuit remained dry! Too bad.
A truly uninteresting wine list, despite the region of production...
Obviously, we didn't taste the entire menu, but at least I tried this restaurant once, and for me... that's more than enough.
3 🌟 is well paid.
06/05/2025: Few restaurants can boast such attention and care for every detail without giving up a refined but equally friendly atmosphere. Varied menu with excellent proposals (their risotto highly recommended), kindness and service always at the top. Il Saraceno is certainly among the best restaurants in Bordighera, guaranteed!

I ordered a seafood appetizer asking what it was made of (as it is not indicated on the menu) and it was not explained to me accurately. Among the tastings there should have been a tuna tartare, which never arrived, and what had been explained was not correct.
The fried food was okay overall although not a large portion.
Overpriced in my opinion
06/04/2025: Popular place in summer. This evening I had two pizzas at the table. I was disappointed for the not indifferent price I received one with mozzarella and stracchino with spek. The cheese was fake. It didn't melt. The other had raw sauce without any seasoning
I found the pizzas expensive and ugly to look at. No reception from the staff. The summer trend is very different. Left 40 euros for two pizzas, two coffees, 2l water and 250mg of loose wine

04/04/2025: A place that, in its simplicity, still offers dishes that characterize it positively. Pizza, for example, differs from common pizzas in that it is cooked in a pan. The environment is clean and bright, the staff friendly and welcoming. Prices are considered adequate for the quality of the dishes and in any case not high. Definitely recommended!

19/05/2025: Nice service. The boss is very nice, he certainly cheers up the children, although he also made me laugh. That's what you call customer service. And most importantly, delicious pizza!!!
03/05/2025: Coming out of a recent trauma from a foccacia pizza, we deign to go to Nando's Pizzeria. There are many of us and yet we are quickly taken care of. The decoration is sober and sometimes random on its floors: a collection of mugs with random designs (Big Ben mug?) above a painting by Frida Khalo.
My friend orders a pizza with sausage and fries and beyond the fact that it is factually problematic and blasphemous, we are not sure that the waitress understood the request, following a huge misunderstanding. But, nice surprise, the pizza arrived intact and whole. The service was then provided by a lady who juggled between four languages: French, English, Italian and kindness. It was a real ray of sunshine, although the day was blithely rainy.
In the middle of all this, the chef sometimes made his pizzas, sometimes
cut ham in front of the amazed eyes of our table. He didn't hesitate to offer some to us either. The prices were far from excessive (several pizzas for less than €10) but the cost of the service per person can drastically compensate.
An experience to be repeated without moderation. A safe address, even if some reviews are very surprising compared to what our group experienced. A big thought for this shot of limoncello as a digestive which burned my trachea for three working days 🤓☝ #pastresgourmand #intelligentetpeuchargeenbas
