26/05/2025: Highly recommended! The pizza is really good and the staff is super friendly, organized and efficient: when we arrived the place was super crowded, they told us it would take 40 minutes and they were very precise.
They were also available to make me a pizza off the menu.
The place is humble and there is no table service: you can order takeaway or eat on site inside or outside.

Buonissime le colazioni. Tempi di attesa inesistenti. Ci siamo sentiti accolti come a casa. Grazie Maurizio e un grazie speciale alla ragazza del bar (perdonami ma non ricordo il tuo nome ma solo che sei di Trecase)per la simpatia e per aver chiacchierato con noi. Buona stagione! Ci rivedremo presto, è una promessa.

04/06/2025: It is now a fixed stop on our holidays in Liguria... dinner at the Candidate, in one of the alleys in the center of Albenga, from the first courses to the pizza to the fantastic farinata with onions and rosemary, truly Top. The owner is very kind and joking, what can I say... recommended!

09/06/2025: We wanted to sit "at the edge," "in the front row" = at an already empty table where used dishes were still lying around. The short-haired female waitress didn't want to clear the table. It was a shame. She reluctantly agreed to do it, but there's really no need to be treated like that. We had asked politely, and it's her job to clear tables. We left the restaurant before ordering because we found the behavior disproportionate.

Had the set menu which was a good amount of food. Very tasty and well presented.
Service was good. The way allergies were listed was very helpful for my partner that has some.
I’d been here 8 years ago and always said I’d come back, glad I did.

09/06/2025: Yesterday Sunday lunch, very kind staff, we were asked if we preferred in the garden or inside ... started as an appetizer with three cheese focaccias ... the cod fritters were amazing ... and the mandrilli with pesto delicious ... continued with mixed fried food ... a little high price for the desserts ... and bitters and coffee ... normal price ... thanks
01/06/2025: First time I go and I was very happy. The place is wonderful. Absolute tranquility. Amazing menu. I highly recommend the ravioli al tocco and the mixed fry. In any case, a place to definitely return to. Compliments to the chef and all the staff.

Quintessenza Restaurant also boasts a large terrace, located on the seventh floor of the Best Western Hotel Nazionale Sanremo, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view
