18/10/2025: A place where the food is authentic: flavorful, well-cooked, and plentiful. The Italian appetizers are excellent (be careful not to overdo it or you'll miss the rest of the dishes!), and the pizzas are also excellent—truly huge but equally delicious. Despite our strong preference for Neapolitan pizzas, we have to admit that the Locanda's pizzas (shallow and wide, not toasted, but certainly very different from Neapolitan pizzas) were a hit with adults and children alike, probably thanks to the quality and abundance of ingredients.

12/10/2025: I ordered a takeout pasta all'arrabbiata and a bruschetta with cherry tomatoes (15 minutes away from where we were). The food was terrible, not to mention the delivery time. We waited two hours for a plate of pasta (with inedible sauce) and the bruschetta with no sauce, just a piece of bread with cherry tomatoes.

21/09/2025: Negative experience: I was denied access to the restroom at this table-service pizzeria. I remember that according to EC Regulation 852/2004, dining establishments must be equipped with adequate restrooms, and Italian law (Ministerial Decree 236/1989, Presidential Decree 503/1996) requires at least one restroom accessible to the public. The Consolidated Law on Public Safety (T.U.L.P.S.) (R.D. 773/1931) also prohibits denying service to customers without justifiable reason. I find it unacceptable that a restaurant doesn't respect these minimum hygiene and hospitality standards. If you can't let people use the restroom, you can't stay open. Questionable pizza and terrible service. After ordering, we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for the first items to arrive. And I repeat, without being able to use the restroom. Focus on quality, not quantity. Never again.

22/09/2025: Terrible welcome. I understand it was Saturday night, but when we arrived and asked if a table for four was available, after a 10-minute wait, the lady at the table wasn't very kind: "You didn't book? Ehhh. You'll have to wait!" without adding anything else. Who knows.

16/07/2025: Let me start by saying that I'm a woman who has trouble walking. When we arrived, the place was half empty. We asked for an outdoor table. The owner directed us to a table in a cramped corner with little room to even sit. When we asked for a better seat given my situation, the owner was very rude, and naturally, we left.

13/05/2025: Clean the oven where you reheat the pizza by the slice.... It sucks!!!! I can't imagine the rest!!!

06/05/2025: I visited this place with friends for a quick lunch, and honestly, I had a great time. I started with an aperitif garnished with delicious French fries and peanuts. Then, they brought us a tray full of pizza samples, both stuffed and plain... all very tasty. The place has an outdoor gazebo, but unfortunately, parking is a real problem because the space is really small, and since there's a post office next door, finding a parking spot is a real hassle.

27/10/2025: Passing through with the family we stopped for dinner, what can I say we had various things from grilled fish to pizza, excellent dishes, applause for the kind and attentive staff, highly recommended

19/07/2025: Dal momento che mi é stato comunicato che le pizze erano state ordinate in questa pizzeria mi sono promesso che se anche per la terza volta sarebbero venuti in ritardo, con le pizze fredde e malfatte, avrei lasciato una recensione in merito. Ordinato alle 18:40 e le pizze sono arrivate alle 21:40 di martedì senza eventi sportivi o eventi di qualsiasi genere. Pizze fredde come mi aspettavo e piccolissime, quasi come la metà del cartone... Solo una era uscita grande ma sono stato sfortunato. il condimento, io avevo preso una patate e salsiccia con aggiunta di salsiccia, credo che ci abbiano messo in tutto un quarto di salsiccia. A questo punto ho chiamato chiedendo chiarimenti e per la terza volta mi é stato detto "si lo so mi scusi, la prossima volta staremo più a attenti" .... Ora la mia domanda é? Se lo sai perché lo fai? Forse é modo di rispondere e visto che é la terza volta che faccio notare questa cosa, mi sento davvero preso in giro. Per fortuna che parlando con le persone di frascati molti sono d'accordo con me, spero solo per quelli che vengono da fuori, nn vengano fregati anche loro.

Just because there's so much demand these days doesn't mean we should lower the quality. I also asked if I could pay by card. We weren't happy.

The old grotto has been delighting us with its specialties for years... thanks to Ernesto, who is always available and attentive to his customers, it's as if he were welcoming us into his home every time... the pizza is truly delicious, as only you know how, and the place is very well-kept, welcoming, and charming... I recommend everyone to come here...

20/10/2025: We ordered the burrata dish with prosciutto. The portion of ham was quite small compared to the amount of burrata, which made the dish feel unbalanced. What really affected the experience, was the atmosphere. The staff kept looking at us in a way that made us feel rushed. As soon as my partner took the last bite, the plate was taken away while we were still chewing. Overall, the food was fine, but the service made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
