05/05/2025: Undecided on where to have lunch, we decided to opt for this restaurant. We were immediately struck by the kindness of the staff, kind and approachable. Very good food, I had the amatriciana as a first course and my boyfriend had the pappardelle with wild boar ragù and we were both very satisfied. Very generous portions. The service is like it used to be, friendly, genuine and attentive to the customer, with one of the gentlemen who occasionally came to ask us if everything was to our liking. Furthermore, at the beginning of service, bread (which you can request every time you finish), breadsticks, oil, parmesan and pecorino cheese are brought to the table in nice full jars and above all without adding any surcharge (which is no longer a given in restaurants). The prices are not high considering the quality and quantity since we spent around €40 for 2 starters and 2 first courses with water (and all the condiments/bread that we could request as many times as we wanted). Furthermore, the room inside is really typical in wood, they also have a nice fireplace! I really recommend it, both for the food and the atmosphere!

14/05/2025: I was hungry, so I went to a place near my accommodation with many Google reviews and good scores without looking at many reviews, but I highly recommend it. There were about 10 people waiting in line in front of the store, and when someone who seemed to be the owner suddenly told me to come in, I wondered what was going on, and as expected, he guided me to an empty seat right in front of the bathroom. The bathroom smelled a little, and there was a shelf right behind the chair where the employees were putting away their cutlery, so it was uncomfortable while eating. There were a lot of people in the store, and the employees were a bit crazy, but they were friendly. The vongole was very bland, but the margherita pizza was a bit salty, so the balance was pretty good. While eating, I looked up reviews of the store, and I read some reviews of racism, and I wondered if I had been subjected to it too. Did they give me a bad seat without even asking if I wanted to sit here? When I paid, the owner was at the counter, and even when I greeted him, he chewed my food. This was the worst service I've ever had. If I hadn't met the owner, I think I would have given it 3 or 4 stars.

17/05/2025: An historic Roman taverna still retaining an authentic atmosphere. The food is excellent, a variety of dishes for everyone, seasonal and everything is freshly made in-house including the pasta and the desserts. I highly recommend stopping by the Volpetti Taverna for lunch or dinner and visiting the Volpetti Salumerie for an aperative and for carefully selected produce to buy and take away.

18/05/2025: We were passing through Cerveteri this morning and decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant, luckily we found a place to have lunch, usually on Sundays many restaurants are full, however we were welcomed by the waiting staff with unique kindness and also by the owners themselves. We ordered a cheese and cold cuts platter as an appetizer, really very good there were samples of Taleggio, Pecorino Romano, Grana etc etc, accompanied by honey, for the cold cuts all the classics from ham to salami, already cut sausages and so on. Then we had two first courses, a matriciana and gnocchi with wild boar sauce, really excellent. It was a really nice discovery, now I think they will have to put up with us for a while. Really thanks to the guys in the waiting room and the owners who worry about the customer passing by the tables to ask if everything is going as hoped. Really worthy of note. 11/05/2025: The dishes are excellent, the dosage of condiments is perfect but the first course of ravioli was a little poor, taking into account that it is the most expensive first course on the menu. Regarding the second, however, I was amazed by the quality of the meat and the skill in cooking it. The service was a little too pushy and uncomfortable (I don't mean the guy who just started), but also very fast. The prices are high, but in relation to the culinary quality they are fair. I'll be back as soon as possible.

22/04/2025: A very pleasant surprise in the center of Sutri, pizza by the meter FA-VO-LO-SA especially the pasta, a mix of crunchy and soft, and excellent quality ingredients (we took the one that bears the name of the place, spicy salami and sausage with a balsamic vinegar garnish); and while you wait after ordering they bring you a parcel with samples of the pizza bread seasoned with olive oil. Very honest prices. The place was full and it was a weekday, better to book.
