08/10/2025: There were 6 of us... In short, we ate very little and spent a whopping 74 euros each. The portions were truly too meager for the prices they're asking, and at the end of the meal, to avoid leaving hungry, we even had to order 2 pizzas and 2 gnocchi... You decide, we started with a cured meats appetizer (2 small plates for 6 people) accompanied by fried gnocchi (2 pieces each), followed by the "grilled meat" (12-15 tiny pieces in total, mostly chicken and pork), 2 bottles of Lambrusco plus 2 more recommended by the waitress. NOT TO MENTION THE 40 MINUTES BETWEEN ONE COURSE AND THE NEXT, with only 3 OTHER TABLES OF 2 PIECES IN THE DINING ROOM APART FROM US... Not content with feeling ashamed, the cashier added to our bill even more dishes that never arrived, like the mustards and cheeses. BE VERY CAREFUL about this place! The lady at the cashier GETS THE BILL WRONG!!! Be very careful... Result: 6 happy customers who will NEVER RETURN!!!

27/08/2025: We dined at the restaurant this evening by chance. Unfortunately, we have to agree with some of the reviews – we did have to wait a long time for our order. Nevertheless, the food was delicious, the ambiance was pleasant, and the servers were attentive. We would eat here again.

27/04/2025: We went last night with some friends of ours who had spoken very highly of this place. Unfortunately we were not happy, the courgette flowers were burnt, the cheese was not fresh and finally the service left a lot to be desired. It's a shame, because this place would have a lot of potential, the structure is very nice. We will definitely not be returning.

21/08/2025: Super good pizza! The ingredients are top-quality, in my opinion. The tomato sauce isn't acidic like I've found at many places, and all the toppings are delicious. The pizza is both crispy and soft, cooked in a wood-fired oven! The desserts are delicious; I highly recommend the nougat parfait! We've always had great service, too! In my opinion, it's one of the best pizzas in the area! Highly recommended!

16/08/2025: The pizza is thin, good, and well-topped, but nothing special. The staff is very friendly. The place is nice, quiet, and well-decorated. In the summer, I recommend sitting inside because there's a stable behind the place, so there are a lot of flies.

24/06/2025: Last night I was near Gingio pizzeria with 4 of my friends. While we were ordering food for a friend of mine while she was drinking a glass the water went down the wrong way and splashed it on the floor. We went out apologizing but the girl REFUSED SEVERAL TIMES TO GIVE US WHAT WE HAD ORDERED. On top of that she started arguing with us from behind the counter and there was no way to make her see reason.

28/06/2025: Ei fu. Eccomi qui a comunicare la definitiva chiusura di O sole mio... Una stagione che finisce; e purtroppo dopo un lungo declino... È stata per anni la mia pizzeria preferita, quando a Modena giravano solo tristissime pizze sottili. Trovarla, li in periferia, sulla via Emilia est, fu un'illuminazione: "ma quindi anche a Modena si può mangiare la pizza napoletana"!!! Per anni fu la sola pizzeria che amavo frequentare. Poi qualcosa andò storto; dopo il trasferimento nel locale su via Vignolese (pretenzioso} qualcosa non ha più funzionato: tra crocchè acidi e pizze semi-crude ho dovuto pian piano accettare che la storia fosse finita. In più, mentre O sole mio tramontava, in città si moltiplicavano pizze finalmente napoletane e pizzerie con proposte di qualità sicuramente più alta. Ed oggi eccoci qui, con il cartello "affittasi" esposto sulle vetrine del locale. Comunque sia andata a finire, un bel ricordo della mia gioventù. Grazie

09/07/2025: Partiamo dal locale con parecchi posti a sedere Personale di sala cortese ambiente bello con parecchia gente Tempi di attesa nella norma Pizze:avendo preso 3 gourmet il prezzo è un po’ alto 18 euro cad una la pizza ha un impasto soffice e’ più alta della solita ma più ristretta pertanto nel piatto sembra molto ridotta cosa buona sono gli ingredienti perché sono molto buoni e dí quantità infatti c’era più contenuto che pizza!!! Se dovessi tornare proverei anche l’altra con impasto tradizionale!!!

29/05/2025: Una cameriera ha rovesciato una birra su una cliente, invece che scusarsi si è messa a ridere. Noi commensali allibiti. Il proprietario indifferente anche dopo una nostra richiesta almeno di uno sconto (abbiamo mangiato 1 ora dopo a causa dell'incidente), con aria di sufficienza ha detto "sono cose che capitano" senza nemmeno offrirci un caffè. A lui l'educazione "non è capitata". Vergognoso. Anche noi non capiteremo mai più in quel locale!!!

30/08/2025: A disappointment, the pizzas arrived 15 minutes before 7.10pm, they were cold, burnt and dry. I've always said that the only pizzeria should go bankrupt because they can't do anything right.

06/09/2025: Delicious pizza slices. Lots of choices. Very tasty dough and a wide variety of toppings. Affordable.

17/08/2025: Mary's is a great place to stay. A family atmosphere, reasonable prices, and a clean bathroom. You can even grab a small bite and stay as long as you like! We'll definitely be back!

30/09/2025: PIZZERIA RUINED by the new management. The old guy was much better. I ordered two pizzas, I ENLARGE TWO, to eat at the counter. One for myself, one for my partner. We're passing through, as often happens, having business in Bologna and living in the Modena area. So we eat it on site. A huge mistake, yes, but for the owner. We order the pizzas: a Fumi di Pinko with potatoes and a Margherita with prosciutto and arugula for my partner. We make sure the arugula is washed because since she's pregnant, it's an important detail. Oh no, lawyer, we get three pizzas. I repeat: THREE PIZZAS. A Fumi di Pinko, with very few potatoes, yet the receipt shows the extra. A Margherita. And a prosciutto and arugula. I return the extra Margherita and we eat our order. The arugula on my pregnant partner's pizza has visibly rotten leaves and what looks like an earthworm. So I demand a replacement Margherita. Simple as that. IF ONLY. No. It's not possible because according to the owner, they can't make four pizzas for two people. Mr. Santi, as the employees call him, doesn't understand that offering poor service while pretending to be right when he's clearly wrong is absolutely wrong. When paying, Santi demanded the sum for the four pizzas. Are you kidding? They had to make four to get two good ones. Let's skip the potatoes on my pizza. Raw and crunchy as celery sticks. At least there were only a few of them. So an argument ensues. I won't go into further detail in my review, but I throw 10 euros at him on the till and we leave, hearing him insult me ​​as a homosexual. Pure madness. Avoid.
