23/09/2025: Actually, one of the best cafeterias I've tried so far (according to my very personal taste). A huge selection of side dishes, vegetables, and salads. Excellent first and second courses. They also have an on-site pizzeria. Portions are more than adequate, sometimes even generous. You can bring your own water or flask (many cafeterias don't allow this). And the food is very good. Highly recommended.

15/11/2025: Pizzeria not far from home. We ordered four pizzas with delivery time, according to them, of 40 minutes. It's been an hour and a half and no one is in sight. We've already called them twice and they say they're on their way. We need to figure out where because no one is in sight. Really awful. We have people for dinner, one of whom is pregnant.

18/08/2025: Truly awful, I'm really angry. I spent €13.50 for a pizza with a triple portion of sausage and it arrived with a portion as if it were normal, and it was even ruined. If you have to charge a pizza for €13.50 with a triple portion like this, I can't imagine if it had been normal. If I had asked for a pizza with a portion of sausage, would it have been a Margherita? Truly awful.

01/12/2025: Little respect for the customer, who has to wait a long time for their order. A bit disorganized. Embarrassing situation. We ordered 10 pizzas, in person, on Friday for Saturday. Delivery time slot between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM. [The receipt, however, stated: 8:30 PM]. The pizza didn't arrive, so at 9:10 PM we decided to call the pizzeria to ask where our order was. They told us the pizzas were being baked. The call had some noise. Are the pizzas baked at 9:10 PM at the customer's request? Huh. At 9:30 PM, an hour after the expected delivery time, no one was in sight. We call the pizzeria again, and someone else answers and tells us they're putting the pizzas in the oven now. We feel like we're being cheated—weren't they already in the oven at 9:10 PM?! To make up for the delay, they promise they'll throw in a free bottle of Coke and a discount on the pizzas. Furthermore, at 9:50 PM, they add that they close at 10 PM 😂 It's 10 PM, and we've been waiting an hour and a half. We call back, a little annoyed, and they tell us the delivery guy is almost here. We try to negotiate a price with the delivery guy, because yes, an hour and a half late is outrageous, especially after all the lies he's told. His boss replies that the discount has already been applied: a whopping €4!! Honestly, I expected a bigger discount... €15 / half price / a free pizza... definitely not €4!! We opened the pizzas and, surprise, 9 correct pizzas and 1 incorrect pizza! A Margherita instead of a sausage, which is why the €4 discount... (so much for a discount!) How is that possible?! After an hour and a half of waiting? Oh yes, there was no Coke, and in its place, two unwanted beers... (probably because when you order a certain number of pizzas, they give you the drink free, but they chose it themselves). All we had to do was call back... and luckily, we discovered that even though it was 10:15 PM, the place was still open. Having explained the mistake, they sent a delivery man back with the missing pizza, two small bottles of Coke, and two more beers at 10:35 PM. But it didn't end there... obviously, having kneaded and baked the pizzas in a hurry, one after the other, due to a huge disorganization, the pizzas were all raw!! €70 for raw pizzas after an hour and a half of waiting! The pizza? I threw it away. Inedible. Never again, Carpe Diem... seize the moment... better a frozen pizza than ordering one here!

30/11/2025: Pizzas ordered for home delivery at 8:30 PM (they say delivery time slot is 8:30-9 PM) with orders placed in advance in person the night before: - at 9:10 PM they still haven't arrived and we called once, the operator replied that the pizzas were coming out of the oven and the travel time and would arrive, and added a free Coke to apologize for the delay... - at 9:45 PM the pizzas still haven't arrived so we call again and after a 5-minute wait they tell us that the previous employee from the first reminder must have lost the order, but she assures us that the pizzas will arrive by 10 PM because the restaurant closes at 10 PM anyway (what the hell kind of excuse is that after a good hour and a half of delay? I mean, if the Laicale closed at 11 PM, they would have delivered our pizzas at 11 PM then??!!, whatever...) and given the huge delay, they'll give us a discount on the prices. Pizzas (we had ordered 10 pizzas) - At 10:10 PM, the pizzas still hadn't arrived, so we called again, the usual rigmarole where the operators seemed to be completely taken aback, asking us our name and surname again, the time we ordered, etc., and he replied that the delivery man was finally on his way with our pizzas. - The delivery man arrived, but there weren't any free Cokes, only the two beers that were already included with the order (which we didn't know, so they brought the beers of their choice without asking the customer's preference first), and the discount was a whopping €4 for an hour's delay. 😂 I laugh about it now, but at the time, you can imagine how nervous he was. We pointed out to the delivery man (poor guy, obviously, who was innocent) that the €4 discount seemed like a joke. He called the pizzeria and they confirmed that the discount had already been applied and they couldn't offer another one. Oh well, let's forget it, pay, and get the pizzas (the delivery man apologized several times and told us (He knows this is the case because he's been receiving complaints from practically everyone at delivery time.) - We go up to the house and discover that they even made a mistake with one pizza, which is a Margherita instead of a sausage, and the pizzas, of course (as we feared given their rush to fix the mistake), are raw underneath. So, yet another, fourth phone call of the evening to inform them that they didn't deliver the free Coke, first of all, that the discount applied is ridiculous, and that one pizza was wrong. The operator says they'll remake the wrong pizza and bring it back to us as soon as possible. After 20 minutes, the wrong pizza arrives, and they give us two more free beers (again, beers we hadn't asked for) and two half-liter bottles of Coke. We know that mistakes can happen, everyone can make mistakes, etc., but faced with a total delay of TWO HOURS, given the way they treated us on the phone and then during delivery, and learning from reviews that delays in home deliveries are chronic and recurring, we're left with no choice but to be honest. (just read the reviews that unfortunately we hadn't read before ordering), we felt completely cheated by them, so a totally negative experience, a terrible pizzeria that I would highly advise against.

02/12/2025: I ordered a birthday cake for my eight-year-old son. His friends devoured three kilos of "amazing" cake. Thank you!

16/11/2025: We asked for a hot chocolate, and they told us it was out of stock and they'd have to remake it, saying it would take about 15 minutes. Thirty minutes passed, and since we'd already complained, they told us they'd have to make it "by hand." Another ten minutes went by, and even though we'd already paid, we were about to leave, and finally they showed up with a clearly over-stretched chocolate bar that I could have made at home.

12/10/2025: It's a shame to give a restaurant a negative review, but customers should be welcomed and not treated rudely or badly. If the food was also good, customers might overlook the manners, but I can't say the food was good. I don't recommend it.

19/09/2025: We ate very well! Mixed grilled fish, fried fish... everything was excellent and plentiful.

27/04/2025: We went last night with some friends of ours who had spoken very highly of this place. Unfortunately we were not happy, the courgette flowers were burnt, the cheese was not fresh and finally the service left a lot to be desired. It's a shame, because this place would have a lot of potential, the structure is very nice. We will definitely not be returning.

13/08/2025: Perhaps the most beautiful summer venue if you're staying in the city. Located beneath the historic walls of the public promenade, it extends along the length of the square, accessible from the end of Corso Italia or from the Faxhall parking lot. Divided into two areas, a pizzeria/restaurant and a lounge serving aperitivo and after-dinner drinks, often featuring themed evenings and DJs. The food and cocktails are of the highest quality. The young staff and well-maintained location include awnings in case of rain and plants to protect from the summer heat. LED lighting highlights the splendid historic walls. Disabled access and impeccable restrooms are available.

28/06/2025: Ei fu. Eccomi qui a comunicare la definitiva chiusura di O sole mio... Una stagione che finisce; e purtroppo dopo un lungo declino... È stata per anni la mia pizzeria preferita, quando a Modena giravano solo tristissime pizze sottili. Trovarla, li in periferia, sulla via Emilia est, fu un'illuminazione: "ma quindi anche a Modena si può mangiare la pizza napoletana"!!! Per anni fu la sola pizzeria che amavo frequentare. Poi qualcosa andò storto; dopo il trasferimento nel locale su via Vignolese (pretenzioso} qualcosa non ha più funzionato: tra crocchè acidi e pizze semi-crude ho dovuto pian piano accettare che la storia fosse finita. In più, mentre O sole mio tramontava, in città si moltiplicavano pizze finalmente napoletane e pizzerie con proposte di qualità sicuramente più alta. Ed oggi eccoci qui, con il cartello "affittasi" esposto sulle vetrine del locale. Comunque sia andata a finire, un bel ricordo della mia gioventù. Grazie

10/06/2025: Non consigliabile. A fine pranzo, eravamo fuori nel dehor, quando arriva il camion della vuotatura pozzi neri e comincia a succhiare. Siamo scappati dalla puzza . Un incubo. Infine il pasto mediocre. Pietro.
