09/04/2024: I was there last Saturday to celebrate my daughter's graduation and instead of the usual pizza we opted for an Italian appetizer. A plate full of cured meats, cheeses and mozzarella in the centre, all excellent. At the same time they served us pancakes, focaccia and full pizza and then a round of pizza. I have to say we were all blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail, even the table, decorated with a red tablecloth and confetti as placeholders... truly enchanting. Mario was then a perfect host. I recommend it both for an informal evening with friends and for more demanding occasions. Seeing is believing.

This is the result of the great professionalism of the pizza chef Mario Rossi who is also the owner. I see many reviews on Sorbillo, Porzio, Olio e basil.......but Mario is second to none. Congratulations to his talent. Then, his pizzas are highly digestible

But perhaps there must have been some error in the total amount to be paid. (€90. For two people). And, being elderly, we kept it light, very light. We've seen better. I don't think I'll go back.

06/07/2024: Pizzeria from times gone by, pizza as good as those of the past and a family place. I went there with a group of friends on a Wednesday in July during a karaoke evening. The fried foods were quite good, you could feel that the oil was clean and things were freshly cooked. Pizza with fresh and seasonal products. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as well as being super helpful and quick. The karaoke night was beautiful. Full of groups or families, with modern or old-time music. Grand finale, completely free for all customers, post-dinner fresh pasta with mushrooms and sausage. Speaking with the owners, every Wednesday they offer something different at the end of the evening ranging from pasta to mussel soup to a fresh ice cream. An excellent place to spend a pleasant evening, especially during events in the small adjoining garden.

Then it has never happened that they make my pizza in 2 minutes because the estimated time has always been around 20 minutes and then it has never happened that there is a lot of basil. You have disappointed me and I am so sorry because I have only been coming to you for at least 2-3 years

22/08/2024: Siamo andati in visita a Caserta Vecchia e, volendo fermarci a pranzo, abbiamo scelto Il campanile. Servizio buono e celere, le pietanze abbondanti e ottime. Abbiamo optato per un menù da 30 euro. Mi è dispiaciuto che, non prendendo né caffè né digestivo, ho chiesto un frutto, dico uno. Mi hanno portato un grappoletto d'uva ormai troppo matura proprio da buttare.

However, the place has some flaws: the service at the tables is quite slow and they tend to get confused, although the waiters are friendly and helpful. The starter was good and the gourmet pizzas were delicious. The beer was quite good, although we had to wait quite a while to receive them. Value for money not completely in line. You pay for quality, you know, but here I expected something more for what I spent. Overall it was a pleasant evening. The gem was the presence of friendly cats passing by the tables. They didn't cause any discomfort.

Over time they have become better structured, the pizzas have improved, but for the restaurant we have seen the halving of the portions (I'm not joking) and the considerable increase in prices. It's no longer worth coming to eat there. Goodbye!
