A menu divided into two categories of dishes, traditional or contemporary, each offering well-served and tasty dishes, especially the local specialties that aren't to be missed. Also noteworthy is the extensive pizza menu. The welcoming, efficient, and fast service make it well worth the detour.

21/05/2025: Karaoke delirium with sky-high volume with peaks that touch 100 decibels. This was the element that determined and conditioned the evening. The rest unfortunately is in the background, average the hamburger on the plate with grilled vegetables. Rejected the pizza. Nice place with attentive, fast and polite service. High prices, average spending for three people €22

Super efficient and prepared staff, they will always welcome you with a smile and will give you the best advice.
Refined cuisine and dishes prepared with care, using fresh and excellent quality ingredients. I highly recommend going back several times to try the whole menu! The atmosphere is fantastic, elegant and cared for in the smallest details. Highly recommended!

19/05/2025: A great restaurant with very friendly service and delicious food. The starter and main course were excellent. We visited in mid-May. We got a seat on the roof terrace without a reservation. The view was beautiful. Highly recommended. Great prices for the location and quality.
08/05/2025: I just stopped for a coffee. Their Espresso doppio is excellent!

18/05/2025: Restaurant with a wonderful view despite it being Sunday they were immediately ready to welcome us by giving us a place on the terrace polite staff friendly and fast excellent food full of traditions every time I go to the sassi of Matera it will be my fixed stop I recommend it compliments.

01/06/2025: We kregen de tip voor deze osteria van de vriendelijke dame van de Enoteca Vino & Dintorni en we hadden geen betere keuze kunnen maken.
Vriendelijke ontvangst, mooie verzorgde tafels en interieur, echte métier!
Salvatore vroeg ons hem te vertrouwen voor een boeiende culinaire wandeling door de cucina tipica en dat was een ware ontdekking!
We werden bijzonder verrast en verwend!

26/03/2025: A new place or recently renovated quite well, too bad about the choice of (cold) lights which give the white/grey furniture an air of a canteen.
As for the food, we had some pizzas on the plate and even if they were a little salty they were good.

02/06/2025: We returned after a few years, they offered us the famous €25 menu, with a large gorge on appetizers, mostly vegetables, several first courses served in the center of the table, at the end they brought several desserts without asking our permission and without specifying that it was not included in the menu... what can I say? Being made fun of in this way is not good, it would be more sincere to specify at the beginning what is excluded from the menu... such as drinks, coffees and desserts...
01/06/2025: We celebrated a double event in the family. What can I say....everything super top. Excellent food and excellent service. A place to bring friends and relatives for sure. Raffaele and Filomena top people and very professional team.

We were in the village for a short stay, fantastic welcome, everyone was super kind and friendly, food beyond expectations!
Small tip, try all the starters, they are exceptional, the first course with crusco pepper is delicious.
If we are passing through or in the surrounding area, Il Caminetto will be our fixed stop!
