28/07/2025: It's with regret that I'm writing this review, but my experience at the Sirenetta restaurant in Pescara was disappointing and, unfortunately, also very disturbing. I ordered pasta with seafood and... I found a stone about 2 cm in diameter! It wasn't a shell or a fluke – it was a regular stone, as if it had come from the backyard. After this incident, everything lost its flavor, and instead of enjoying the meal, I began to wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen and what actually ended up on the plates. The staff's reaction? The waiter pulled the stone from my plate with two fingers while standing at the table and showed only surprise, as if it were no big deal. We weren't offered any compensation; honestly, I didn't feel like paying for the meal there anymore… On top of all this, the prices were inflated, which didn't reflect the quality of the food. Compared to truly excellent restaurants in Pescara, prices at Sirenetta are about 30% higher, and wine costs as much as 50% to 100% more than in more reputable establishments with significantly better service. Although the restaurant tries to present itself as a classy place – white tablecloths, waiters in bow ties – this is only a facade. Elegant appearance is not enough if the basics are lacking: attention to hygiene, respect for guests, and appropriate handling of emergencies. Unfortunately, Sirenetta is an example of a place where style doesn't match substance. Throughout the entire evening, the waiter never once approached us to pour our wine or ask if we would like to reorder water, which quickly ran out. The only positive is that dogs are allowed. I don't recommend it.

25/07/2025: Il bagnino e uno dei responsabili non hanno voluto farci giocare con la palla in riva al mare (zona pubblica). Il responsabile ci ha mostrato l' ordinanza sostenendo che questa provasse la sua opinione, contrariamente a quanto voleva dimostrare l'ordinanza non dice niente del genere. Una volta confrontatomi con il responsabile questo ha sostenuto che l'ordinanza gli desse ragione e ha intimato di voler chiamare la guardia costiera, al che ho deciso io di chiamare la guardia costiera per chiedere una conferma, la quale è arrivata immediatamente smentendo la versione del bagnino e del responsabile. Così dopo, aver lui stesso contatto la guardia costiera e aver confermato quanto essi avevano detto a me, ha deciso di cacciarci dicendo che lui comunque non ci avrebbe fatto giocare in riva al mare (zona pubblica) e che l unica condizione per giocare sarebbe stata comunque quella di sottostare alle sue regole invece che a quelle dettate dalla ordinanza regionale e confermateci via telefonica dall' impiegato della guardia costiera. Il tutto è successo con un fare di supponenza e superiorità assolutamente ingiustificato.

24/07/2025: The location is nice... in the little square overlooking the viewpoint, but the evening wasn't as good... When I booked, I mentioned that my celiac friend had found a gluten-free pizza and had some delicious appetizers... they told me they had pizza, but they don't do appetizers unless you book in advance. There were only cold cuts and cheese platters and arrosticini. We arrived, and the arrosticini were just the regular ones... not handmade, and no liver... ☹️ My celiac friend couldn't find anything for her (no pizza, focaccia, or even a bit of bread). The platters weren't enough for everyone, and aside from a good pecorino, the rest was absolutely average, and... surprise, there was Emmental! When have you ever seen Emmental on a cheese platter in Abruzzo?! The arrosticini were nothing special. The best was when we asked for more beer and the waiter brought us another two liters. We pointed out that we hadn't asked for two liters, and he, very annoyed, brought us the same as we had ordered the first time, even though we hadn't specified that we wanted less... he turned around and walked away very annoyed. A place I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

18/08/2025: I hadn't been here in years, and, overcome by memories, I returned. I wish I'd never done so... The menu items weren't available, and we were only notified after a long wait. The first courses were barely edible, the risotto was rinsed, and the appetizers didn't arrive due to a lack of ingredients. I ordered a fillet for my daughter, and after an hour and a half, another cut of meat arrived, mistaken for a fillet. The girl serving the tables was embarrassing. Terrible experience; you can't sit down to eat fish without knowing it's missing, mistaking a cut for a fillet! I won't be back again.

12/07/2025: The lights at the beach area were off and stayed off. We used our cell phones for light throughout the entire dinner. We were told they couldn't be turned on otherwise we'd be eating with flies. It's a shame they didn't inform us when we arrived, and when we mentioned it, we only got jokes, which makes the whole thing look unprofessional. The appetizers were served without plates, frozen tiramisu, and runny sorbet that tasted like milk. It's a shame because the pizza is good.

10/07/2025: Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience during the screening of Temptation Island. The communication was clear: free admission, with the option to reserve a table with a mandatory drink. So we decided to attend without a reservation, as seemed entirely foreseeable by the organization. When we arrived at the Lido, however, we found ourselves faced with a completely different situation: the space that appeared to be reserved for those without a table had disappeared, and the entire space was occupied by reserved tables. There was no real option but to stand, hypothetically waiting for someone to get up. The result? Dozens of people, like us, who were registered but treated like second-class guests, with the unpleasant feeling that the entire initiative was more of a way to attract an audience and then push, almost forcefully, to buy something. A strategy that, if truly intended, I find unfair and disrespectful of people's time and expectations. The venue may have many different sides, but the management of the event was anything but clear or inclusive. It's a shame, because the idea was nice. The execution, however, leaves much to be desired.

29/05/2025: One of the symbolic beach resorts of my city, I had the honour of carrying out the latest restyling of the place where as a boy I went both during the day to the beach and for dinner and after dinner on the dance floor... remarkable

27/07/2025: A particular pizzeria but worth trying. The strong point is undoubtedly the quality/price ratio: a truly excellent pizza, large (even too large), well seasoned (even too much!) at an absolutely competitive price. The location is particular, near the river, near the sea, unfortunately it ended up under the structure of the sea bridge but in the end even that is not a problem. The room, so to speak, is small and quite naïve, in a sort of tent, but I, who also love places conceived and created with creativity and imagination, found myself happy there. The only flaw, from my point of view, is an excess of digitalisation, menus on the QR code, payment machines, things that I cannot tolerate at airports, let alone in the informal pizzeria under the bridge. But that's it. The pizza was good, the girl who served us was friendly, the price was appropriate. We can go back.

10/03/2025: The new look (and the new name) has made the place more modern, the spaces have been enhanced and can certainly be exploited for many ideas for customers... the kebabs are good (large), the pizzas are different and good (even if not homemade).. the staff are friendly and quick even with so many customers... the prices are fair.
