14/03/2025: Whatever anyone says... I'm a good foodie, I came here as a kid and I've rediscovered it now as a pensioner... the meat is treated really well and of excellent quality, the first courses are standard but well made and plentiful, the prices are low... there are no surprises. The wine from our cellars, the attentive service and kind staff. Excellent lunch break, but I will also come with family and friends. They destroyed Chieti... closed shops, restricted traffic zones, zero attraction... at least let us still appreciate those who work with seriousness and dedication. Fernando

23/03/2025: Just got back from celebrating my 10 year old daughter's birthday at Ippocampo!!! Surprisingly, we found a large "Best Wishes" written on the table, and when cutting the cake, a small choreography with soap bubbles! Excellent food, fast service, attentive and courteous waiting staff, despite the room being very full! Congratulations and thanks again!

23/01/2025: Unfortunately I am forced to reduce the stars and I do so by removing only one, as encouragement, but I should remove 4 because the quality of the pizzas has drastically reduced compared to years ago. Prices have increased, and we agree, but the quality has become very poor in both the dough and the filling. I hope you fix it.

30/03/2025: Non basta cambiare il nome per essere un buon ristorante o almeno non è sufficiente. Far accomodare, su tua indicazione, i clienti e poi chiedergli di cambiare tavolo perché c’è un tuo compaesano che aveva prenotato prima non è un bel biglietto da visita. Se poi aggiungi il “pescato” del giorno pagato a peso d’oro, la frittata è fatta. Abbiamo sbagliato a non leggere prima le recensioni

09/03/2025: My recent experience at this restaurant turned out to be an authentic gastronomic disaster, tangible proof of what happens when culinary mediocrity meets total disregard for decorum. To start, the pasta "with clams" presented itself as a faded and soulless work: devoid of flavour, without any trace of the promised clams, the dish consisted solely of a melancholy white pasta that would delight the most unwary palate. An unacceptable affront to Italian culinary tradition. To make matters worse, the hygiene of the place was so questionable as to border on the grotesque. A dog, however noisy and annoying, was feasting on the ground next to the customers, with a bowl dedicated to his meal a few steps from the tables. An absolutely inconceivable vision for a place that should aspire to professionalism. Finally, the wait was a further blow to our already tested spirit. Although it was understandable not to have booked, being at the mercy of time for an hour and ten minutes to receive two plates of pasta and two second courses is an experience that certainly does not go hand in hand with the pleasure of dining.
