07/10/2025: Absolutely fantastic experience at Mimmo e Lucio! I had the pizza and the carbonara, and both were incredible. The pizza was perfectly cooked — thin, crispy crust with just the right balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The carbonara was rich, creamy, and authentic, with that perfect touch of pecorino and pancetta that makes it unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can really taste the passion and quality in every bite. Definitely one of the best Italian meals I’ve had!

29/10/2025: Excellent experience, very nice and well-kept place. Friendly staff, fast service. The pizza was really good and the prices are fair. They range from classic pizzas at normal prices to more specialty options at slightly higher prices. A wide variety, however. The idea of ​​the DOC calzone (half pizza, half calzone) is a nice one. The dough is light and easy to digest, with generous toppings! You can tell they use quality ingredients.

21/10/2025: Really enjoyed this restaurant — the food was delicious and prepared with great care. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. The pasta was just perfect: rich sauce and great texture! I also calculated the calories of this dish using the service shown in the photo — it turned out to be super easy and convenient. I totally recommend trying it out, it really helps to keep track of what you eat. Great place and a great experience overall!

21/10/2025: Awesome experience! Great atmosphere of a local sicilian place. The food was great, as well as the service. It took some time before the meals came, but as there was only one lady waitering the whole place, it made sense and was a rather good thing for me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Castelbuono, who is looking for a local experience. Also great prices!

13/10/2025: We had the honor of being very subtly mocked during lunch at this restaurant. The food was decent, but the kitchen logistics had a problem the day of our reservation (an issue that wasn't disclosed, but was communicated after the tragic experience!). The problem isn't having a problem, but how it was handled. We waited exactly 1.5 hours for two appetizers, and in the meantime, not even a basket of bread was brought to us. We waited exactly 25 minutes for a beer, and once the dishes were served, exactly 2 hours later (served at 4:00 PM, seated at 2:00 PM), we hadn't been replenished with cutlery, so to keep the food from getting cold, we replenished our own. Their excuses? €5 off the total. Double mockery!!!!!! Highly not recommended

13/10/2025: We called to see if there was a table for 14 at 2:30 PM (knowing it was a bit of an inconvenience given the number of people and the time, we were prepared for a no), and the front desk told us they'd be able to set the table for us by 3 PM. We sat down at 2:50 PM and left at 6:40 PM. From the moment we finished lunch, the kitchen staff argued, banging and yelling for three hours straight, and the dishes arrived every hour. We went down several times almost to the kitchen to ask for bread given the long wait, but even that took a while to arrive. It was stressful and unprofessional. Kudos to the waitress, who, despite the difficult situation, handled everything as best she could. I'm sorry because the food was good, but the kitchen went into crisis, creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere. After 6 bottles of wine and the experience, they only managed to give us a 20 euro discount on the total bill. I paid, but for me it's unacceptable to pay 40 euros for such conditions. More consideration was expected.

26/10/2025: Chaos. Given menu and later told that the chef wasnt there, so pasta was not an option, only pizza was. Waitress was nice and friendly but we should have been told this at the start. Shame because we didnt want pizza. Anyway what we had was ok but left feeling disappointed.

07/11/2025: We tried, and thoroughly enjoyed, the grilled porcini mushrooms with Castelmagno cheese and the Prussian beef with cardoncelli ragù on a potato disc. The Amarone was good. This historic restaurant (1973) deserved a visit a long time ago and a lovely review, which is too often neglected when you're having a good time, when it seems more fun to write negative reviews, when you just have to erase them if they're getting old, very, very badly. (Forgive the digression.) We'll definitely return.

25/10/2025: I visited Trattoria Volpetta in Rome and I must say it was a delightful discovery. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service attentive, and the dishes were meticulously prepared. I enjoyed the food—everything was fresh, with authentic, well-balanced flavors—but what really surprised me was the gorgonzola semifreddo: an original, refined, and perfectly executed dessert, combining creaminess and character in a truly unique way. That alone is worth the visit!

09/11/2025: A very good place, with a menu offering a wide selection of appetizers, pizzas, pastas… I tried the arancini, the pasta, and the pizzas. Everything was excellent. The only downside was the canned mushrooms on the pizza, which completely changed the flavor. It's a shame they don't use fresh mushrooms. I had intended to go to the nearby Pizzeria da Attilio, which has very good reviews, but given the long wait I was told about, I went to Al 22 instead. A very pleasant surprise. They serve delicious Italian food.

10/10/2025: I've worked in the restaurant business for many years, and when you walk into a place that knows how to do things right, you can tell right away. The place is truly beautiful, well-kept, clean, and well-maintained. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. They even offered me some delicious vegan options! They were truly amazing. Every restaurant experience should be like this. We had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend it!
