13/07/2025: Atmosfera carina , cena impossibile tutto super salato e mano pesantissima in cucina L’unica cosa buona era la carne MA benché richiesta al sangue era di cottura più che media ….. Dopo il digiuno , ho mangiato solo una burratina mignon che faceva parte di un antipasto ( gazpacho) immangiabile per il sale e a seguire dei fiori di zucca serviti in un sarcofago di acqua e farina con dentro un ripieno affumicato forse scamorza che non ho praticamente toccato visto che anche l’insalata su cui erano adagiati era a base di sale , non ho osato chiedere il dolce per timore una ulteriore delusione e ho ripiegato sull anguria .

08/08/2025: Close to the center, very nice place. Parking is available on nearby streets. The entrance is a small courtyard where you can also eat outside. Excellent service: friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable value for money, good pizzas. The only downside is the restrooms: they're next to the pizza chef, and there are steps to access them, making it difficult to access the restroom because it's very narrow. Other than that, I highly recommend this pizzeria.

18/08/2025: Shocked by the attitude of the male owner/manager of the restaurant here which took everything away for the experience we had overall. And to be honest the other staff weren’t not so attentive or hospitable either. Quite a poor experience, not a good vibe. I was visiting with my wife’s family who live locally and have been regular customers this place for years as a number of them are celiac. I had heard good things about the pizza (especially for the gf pizza). When we arrived for a table booked for 6, we was placed on a table for 4 with two additional chairs added on the ends with a dripping AC fan right above us. Not ideal, but ok if that that’s the only option. However right across from us was an empty table for 6… So we kindly asked if it would be possible to switch to have more space to not be crammed together and risk cross-contamination of the gluten - to which the response was abrupt and rude, shouted over from this angry man behind the counter in the open kitchen, with other staff rolling their eyes, no one able to explain the situation to us in a kind manner. After being snappy and stubborn they basically said the other table had been booked first. Ok…Somewhat understandable, but surely a table for 6 should be a table for 6, not two small tables with two chairs shoved on the side with minimal space under a dripping AC - plus it’s not like we booked last minute we had booked midday for an evening meal. Anyway not making a big deal about it we sat. It then took about 10-15 minutes until we had to stand up and ask for one of the floor staff who was standing with her back to us to take our order just to get some drinks. The meal went on with no other issues, the pizza was fine, not the best, fairly small but ok, I would say average at best (mine was not gf). During and also by the end of our meal we realise the table of 6 across from us was still empty! So when paying for the bill we asked why and how it was possible that A) We weren’t offered the table early into our meal after the booking didn’t show, and B) How their booking system works so we can ensure we get the correct seating arrangements in the future. Straight away the same guy overheard from the kitchen (which btw is basically in the restaurant) again shouting and causing a scene “if you don’t like it here don’t come here again” …No understanding for the situation, no care at all. Everyone in the restaurant was looking over shocked. I honestly couldn’t believe it! So rude and aggressive causing a huge scene over us simply trying to get some clarity on the situation which was never addressed or apologised for. And resulting in loosing some loyal local customers who did absolutely nothing wrong. Crazy! I honestly don’t understand why someone like that would even work in hospitality. Hopefully for the sake of the restaurant they choose to replace him with someone who actually cares about their customers - which he clearly doesn’t. And teach their staff to show more respect and have more understanding for these kind of situations, it’s really the minimum expectation of customers service. The restaurant inside isn’t particularly nice by the way, quite simple. The back area in particular was quite ugly with a dripping AC and out-dated and the toilets seemed quite neglected with a broken tap. I was very disappointed overall, I won’t be coming again.

06/09/2025: I went to this pizzeria with my family for pizza after searching online for good pizza in Saronno, and I came across Pizzeria Mandolino. From the photos I saw online, I knew the pizza was delicious, and I wasn't wrong! It was the third or fourth time I've eaten a truly delicious pizza in my life! If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely go there again. The guys are all young, kind, and fast, and they deserve five stars!

30/08/2025: I'm giving 3 stars, which is a middle ground because: 1. I booked yesterday, August 29th, 3 days in advance through The Fork (30% discount for 8 people). I let them know that there are 9 of us and they said no problem.... When it came time to pay, the discount wasn't there. 2. We ordered 8 pizzas and 1 lasagna from the menu. 8 delicious pizzas. Lasagna was served late (we already had our hands in advance, "we won't count it because of the delay"). Maybe it would have been better to say, given the absurd appearance, red lasagna with basil leaves, but above all, the rancid flavor, I WON'T COUNT IT BECAUSE IT WAS INEDIBLE. We ended up with uncounted lasagna (it should have been reported) and uncounted bitters. Honestly, I'm just saying that it's absurd to give out dishes that aren't capable of producing.... FOR THE PIZZA, OK, THE REST IS NOT.

22/08/2025: We've been having dinner there every night for months now (I'm away) and I have to say the food is excellent, the pizza is exceptional. You can eat from the set menu (which we chose) or the à la carte menu. In the set menu you certainly won't leave hungry, in fact the dishes are just right, the staff are friendly and patient, what can I say... I highly recommend it.

14/08/2025: The seafood tagliatelle are excellent, the fried food is dry and crispy, and the portions are generous. Both the atmosphere and the location are lovely. The concept and the option of having games like slides for the kids are a great idea.

16/08/2025: A lot of fuss about nothing. A restaurant that's clearly anti-family: we went here with our 10-month-old son, and not only do they not even have car seats (not even the worst fast food restaurant in the provinces has them!), but they even charged us a cover charge for the baby who didn't eat or drink ANYTHING! Average food, tasteless desserts (€8 for a pistachio-flavored cake that tasted like nothing!), extremely slow service, and very high prices. I absolutely don't recommend it! For this kind of price, you should be able to offer worthy service and food to match!

30/08/2025: Excellent pizzeria with excellent fried food. Fast and informal service. Simple, no-frills outdoor spot...you go here to eat and hang out in the square, not to take selfies...a place reminiscent of the places of yesteryear. I'll happily go back for pizza every time. Well done!

16/08/2025: A pizzeria worth a visit, both for its food and the welcoming staff...always kind and smiling, they serve excellent pizza and delicious fried food. Located in the heart of Garbatella, in a square where you can spend a wonderful evening with friends or family after a delicious meal, I highly recommend it. For those who don't like it, even better for us, since it's always busy and finding a seat is not easy. Congratulations, guys!! Barbara

14/07/2025: Come dice il titolo bisogna stare attenti ai turisti è vero che passano una volta ma possano fare il passa parola. Cominciamo posto bellissimo dentro fuori siamo in strada sedie scomode,abbiamo ordinato due risotti con gamberi e stracciatella si buono ma non si sentiva tanto il gambero . Ordino un vino rose'calabrese arriva la cameriera (per me non sa fare il suo lavoro)arriva con un altra tipo di vino sempre dello stessa ditta ma quello più caro dicendo l'altro non ce, premetto il menu era stato rifatto da pochi giorni . Ordino il secondo tonno co pistacchio con arancia e miele è mi arriva il tonno con pistacchio e cipolla ,arancia e miele neanche l'ombra, chiedo spiegazione è sempre la signora dice che avevano sbagliato ha scrivere il menù ripeto rifatto da poco, mj sono sentito preso in giro perché insisteva ha dire che era quello li il piatto in più era nella norma . Poi quando si ordina il tonno il cameriere dice sempre come vuole la cottura la signora non mj ha detto niente. Penso che bisogna essere molto professionali per stare al pubblico io sono stato in altri 3 ristoranti ha Pizzo e sono stato veramente tanto bene. Per ultimo andate dal ristorante la Lampara per imparare ha cuocere il tonno e la gentilezza.
