The food is top-quality, the wines produced in the VIVERONE area are excellent and well-matched; the staff is knowledgeable, extremely kind but never intrusive...everything will pamper you!!!!
I enjoyed it for lunch, and I'll try again in the magical evening!!!

11/07/2026: A dinner with friends is always a pleasure. When it takes place at Taverna del Pittore in Arona, it transforms into a truly gastronomic experience.
The quality of the ingredients is evident from the first bite. The raw seafood is simply extraordinary: incredibly fresh, delicate, and capable of bringing out the full flavor of the sea. The linguine with lobster deserves a special mention: perfectly cooked pasta, generous and juicy lobster, and an intense, velvety, and perfectly balanced sauce, binding every bite together without ever overpowering the main ingredient. A truly elegant preparation.
The catch of the day with potatoes, confit cherry tomatoes, and olives is a perfect example of Mediterranean cuisine, simple yet rich in personality, while the scampi and shellfish confirm a truly rare level of quality.
The wine cellar is excellent, with a wide and refined selection of wines, ideal for accompanying every course.
The restaurant is refined, with attention to every detail, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Special praise goes to Michele, the impeccable host: kind, knowledgeable, and always available to recommend wines and dishes with expertise, passion, and great discretion.
La Taverna del Pittore offers more than just dinner, but an experience of quality, freshness, hospitality, and a passion for cooking. A place that seafood lovers should know and one that is always a pleasure to return to. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

13/07/2026: I've been seeing Strattoria for years, cycling past it on my way down from Montrigiasco, and last night I decided to stop for dinner with my wife. Without reading any reviews, I trusted the inspiration of the moment. Well, evidently I was truly inspired yesterday, because things have rarely gone so well!
A stunning and extremely positive experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is intimate and refined, perfect for an evening for two, and the welcome makes you feel immediately at home while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
The cuisine is unusual, bold, and full of character. From the entrées to the desserts, every dish is a journey. The flavors are explosive, and the dishes are visually spectacular, meticulously crafted. An absolute honorable mention goes to the sweetbreads with rhubarb and oyster sauce: a risk that alone is worth the dinner.
Worthy of mention are also the wine cellar, which offers refined and original labels, and the service, led by attentive and very friendly staff.
In short: top-notch cuisine, a splendid atmosphere, and excellent value for the experience offered. We will definitely be back, highly recommended.

12/07/2026: Great for apero, selection of very nice cheeses and charcuterie (even some that I had never tasted before!). The nduja was the best I have ever tasted, bought 3 cans as takeaway. Special thanks for the amazing liquorice liquor - it tasted like pure liquorice and was extremely balanced. Also the melon liquor was tasty and super balanced.

13/08/2026: It's now a restaurant where I can be sure of making a good impression, and every time I leave satisfied with both the excellent food and the great professionalism and friendliness of the waiters, both the established and the new ones.... a place I recommend for both the pizza and the first and second courses, and the quality/price ratio is absolutely in line with what the restaurant offers.... Upon entry, I simply asked for a table inside, given the decidedly uninviting temperatures outside. A request that was clearly considered almost offensive by the person who welcomed us, who showed some annoyance and pointed to what he claimed was the only available table: coincidentally, right next to the air conditioning.
Too bad that, after just five minutes, a couple sitting outside asked to eat inside, and as if by magic, a free table appeared right next to ours.
Apparently, the concept of "only table available" is rather flexible.
A small detail? Perhaps. But the way you welcome a guest makes all the difference, and in this case, it wasn't the best. Let's just say that hospitality was left out this evening... along with the available tables.
