The only suggestion was, "Would you like two fries?"—definitely unappealing. A minimal platter of focaccia, taralli, or some appetizers would have been more than adequate to justify the price. This aperitivo deserves a rethink.

After a while, one says: good evening and lowers her head. I approach the counter, feeling a bit like Mary looking for a place to give birth, since it's almost snowing outside. A single, very friendly waitress tried her best to serve the eight guests at four tables. She rushed back and forth, delivering her little spiel. That was it; nothing more was possible. Five courses, three and a half hours. No one except this one woman moved around the room. No lively, celebratory atmosphere as is customary in such gourmet temples. No visits from the supposed (star) chefs at the table. Presumably, these gentlemen don't even exist. The discrepancy between the expectations based on the website and reality couldn't be greater. Once there is enough. And not having been there is just as good.
