07/12/2024: One star for the service, courteous and professional, the external veranda closed by plastic curtains is practically a large room, and if you have the misfortune of having dinner practically attached to the pellet stove, it goes without saying that the evening is ruined, but let's move on to the food, seafood steamed with salad leaves, where the salad is the tastiest thing on the plate, maltagliati with seafood ragù, a strong, too strong tomato sauce that kept me awake all night giving me that unpleasant sensation of something wasn't right, well it happens.... even if it shouldn't. Fried to finish, or rather half a portion to share, without infamy and without praise with good fries. Lastly, a dessert prepared by them, bad flavor and consistency. Unpretentious Prosecco all for €70 (seventy) per person. I had often heard comments about the "Amici dell'Universo" restaurant, some enthusiastically and some very badly, and I was curious to understand who was right, unfortunately I can only join those who had a very bad impression.

16/01/2025: Nice restaurant where you eat well, quality and well prepared food. Excellent service. The two of us had two appetizers, one of which was raw fish, and tagliolini with white truffle, with two desserts to finish. To drink, a glass of house white wine and half a liter of house red wine. Super raw fish and also very abundant and this is not always the case. Fantastic white truffle tagliolini. Very good desserts with a mention for the amaretto semifreddo. We spent 137 euros. Super recommended.

03/01/2025: From the name I would think more of a trattoria. Instead it is a good restaurant in the center of Carrara, with a decidedly modern feel. Food from land and sea, menu not extensive but rightly so, given the quality and care of the dishes. Prices average 35 to 55 euros each. Why the 4-star environment: it is well-kept, clean, tidy, there's no denying it. But nothing special. Impeccable service. Places both indoors and outdoors.

02/01/2025: Found by chance while looking for a gluten-free pizzeria. Nice place, refined, simple but refined. Gluten-free pizza and normal restaurant and with gluten-free and lactose-free variations. Very good pizza, equally good desserts. Staff and owners available, friendly, "easy going". New management from August 2024. Definitely worth going back when it's clear in the area.

01/01/2025: I was pleasantly surprised by the new management of this restaurant! Both the pizza and fish dishes are of the highest standard. The pizza dough is light and digestible, just how I like it, and the ingredients are top quality. The fish is very fresh, you can immediately feel the flavor. The ravioli with cicadas were exceptional, as was the octopus, very tender and tasty. The service was impeccable, the staff were kind and attentive to our every need. Adequate price. A complete culinary experience, absolutely to be repeated!

02/01/2025: The staff is very kind and helpful. The toilets are not suitable for disabled people. The à la carte menu is sufficiently varied, with fish and meat dishes. The wine by the glass is the house wine, the white is a little lively, but then they serve me a local white, Baia del sole. We start with a warm seafood salad, €13, good and rich; let's start well! I move on to a plate of pici with clams, bottarga, lemon scent (€14), too bad the pici were way, way behind cooking (confirmed by the kitchen) and I don't finish them. A grilled sea bream €17 (which has dried out a bit, to be generous...) with grilled vegetables €5 (courgettes a little less than raw). Finished the dinner with a good creme brulee €6. Unfortunately, the homemade bread was chewy. Cover charge €2, water €2, glass of wine €4. In the end the €65 pre-bill arrives, but the receipt arrives only upon express request. Gluten-free: a rosette with cover, then they can serve gluten-free pasta (standard formats) and fried fish, with corn flour.

30/11/2024: Personale molto gentile. Servizi igienici non idonei per disabili. Il menù alla carta è sufficientemente vario, con piatti di pesce e di carne. Il vino al calice è quello della casa, il bianco un po' mosso, ma poi mi servono un bianco del territorio, Baia del sole. Iniziamo con un'insalata di mare tiepida, 13€, buona e ricca; cominciamo bene! Passo a un piatto di pici con vongole, bottarga, profumo di limone (14€), peccato che i pici erano moooolto indietro di cottura (confermato dalla cucina) e non li finisco. Un'orata alla griglia 17€ (che si è un po' asciugata, per essere generosi...) con verdure alla griglia 5€ (zucchini poco meno che crudi). Chiuso la cena con una buona crema catalana 6€. Il pane fatto in casa purtroppo risultava gommoso. Coperto 2€, acqua 2€, calice di vino 4€. Alla fine arriva il pre-conto 65€, ma lo scontrino arriva solo su espressa richiesta. Senza glutine: una rosetta con il coperto, poi possono servire la pasta senza glutine (formati standard) e il fritto di pesce, con farina di mais.
