19/04/2026: Excellent food in a beautiful location. The ceviche, the fish in a salt crust, and the warm chocolate cake were absolutely delicious.
19/04/2026: I've eaten at Portolano several times in the past, and I must say I've always enjoyed it, even though the prices have always been higher than average. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case today. The "black ravioli" I ordered were definitely not the highlight of the day. Aside from the "quantity" (5 ravioli and 2 mussels), there was very little flavor. At €22.00 (basically €4 per ravioli and €1 per mussel), they were a disappointment. The tagliolini with cuttlefish and bottarga were definitely a better dish, as was the seadas. The mussel sauté wasn't particularly flavorful, but overall it was adequate.
Overall, today the quality didn't match the price.
I hope to find the same taste and quality as years ago next time.

13/06/2026: One star only because zero isn't possible.
I'd like to point out that the only positive aspect of the restaurant is the waiter, who is kind, polite, and helpful.
The environment is neglected, dirty, with billiards in the back and the bathrooms under the stairs that are anything but welcoming... walking past the kitchen, I had to turn around because of the anything-but-inviting smell...
The chef boasts of having a Michelin star... but as everyone knows, Michelin stars go to restaurants, not chefs... and from the moment you start working in a small, provincial restaurant, the star is like the night of San Lorenzo... FALLING.
The dishes are nothing special, poorly crafted, served as if they were thrown haphazardly into a salad bowl, and decidedly lacking in flavor.
The octopus salad had six pieces of octopus, and everything else was potatoes and vegetables.
The marinated anchovies were so overcooked they were tough and a bit acidic, four very thin slices of salmon were placed on a mountain of salad... and the mussels were cold.
The chef is arrogant, rude, and treats customers unacceptably.
He was sitting next to our table and got into a playful and funny discussion with the waiter, raising his voice, using vulgar tones, insulting us, and ruining our evening.
Star chef or not, first learn good manners, then learn to respect your customers, and also learn Italian... you boast about being who knows who and can't finish a complete sentence without making a thousand mistakes.
RUDE!
The waiter apologized a thousand times, out of embarrassment and shame, and even the kitchen assistant followed us into the parking lot to apologize because he was mortified by his chef's behavior.
There are a thousand better restaurants in Sardinia, especially with more polite and respectful staff, less arrogant and rude.
Not to mention the prices... two vegetable appetizers with a hint of fish and a bottle of wine €80... as if we were at a Franciscan osteria.
This also explains why it's Friday night and your restaurant is empty, 'chef'... truly ridiculous.
Stay away as much as possible and enjoy the wonderful resources and dishes of this land, avoiding like the plague this Italian-Colombian 'super chef' who isn't even worthy of a trattoria on the outskirts of the poorest city in the world.
13/06/2026: While staying in Porto San Paolo, my girlfriend and I went for dinner. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection, with the freshest fish and impeccable service. You can tell there's a great chef in the kitchen! We'll definitely be back.

18/07/2025: Sono stata in questo ristorante con il mio ragazzo e devo dire che è stata un’esperienza davvero piacevole. Abbiamo cenato nella terrazza con vista sulla Tavolara! L’ambiente è accogliente. Il personale è stato gentile, professionale e sempre attento, senza mai essere invadente. Cibo ottimo!

Si respira aria napoletana ed il servizio è stato veloce e preciso
Unico neo le vespe che all'aperto ti fanno compagnia e non ti fanno apprezzare la cena. Per il resto anche il prezzo è nella media.

25/04/2025: Ho preso un panino con le verdure per pranzo.
Mia madre, entrata prima, ha chiesto il prezzo e le è stato detto 8€ sia per il panino con i salumi che per quello con le verdure. Sono entrata, ho preso il panino con le verdure e abbiamo pagato 10€ anziché 8€.
Chiaramente non è un problema pagare 2€ in più, ma sono stata presa in giro. Prezzo deciso sicuramente al momento. La signora si è rivolta in modo MALEDUCATISSIMO e comunque i prezzi sono alti. Non consiglio per niente.
24/04/2025: Location molto bella, a veramente pochi metri dal mare. Devo riconoscere che le ostriche (sicuramente di Olbia) erano ottime. Per quanto riguarda gli altri piatti mi dispiace che non ci sia nemmeno l’ombra di un prodotto locale, usare i gamberi argentini L1, astice canadese e scampi probabilmente Madagascar è veramente triste e sopratutto fuori luogo, sopratutto per i prezzi che vengono applicati. Pagherei volentieri ciò che ho pagato o anche di più, ma per mangiare materie prime locali, avendo il mare a neanche 2 metri di distanza.
Sicuramente da migliorare alcuni aspetti del servizio, per esempio sarebbe auspicabile che i camerieri versino l’acqua ai clienti almeno all’arrivo e che i bicchieri vengano girati al momento dell’arrivo del cliente, per evitare di trovarli pieni di moscerini. Abbiamo comunque apprezzato la prontezza del cameriere a sostituire il bicchiere sporco. Mi riservo di riprovare in seguito questo ristorante, nella speranza che capisca la critica costruttiva così che vengano migliorati questi aspetti essenziali.
