01/04/2024: Very beautiful and particular restaurant with a suggestive atmosphere under a cave made of stones. This is the second Easter Monday that we have spent with friends. The first time we had a great time. Excellent food and this time we confirm the five stars in everything! Very patient waiters kind and helpful and the room manager always ready to satisfy our requests. We took the fish menu which is plentiful and very rich with a fair price. Excellent! Highly recommended. We will return with great pleasure! Thanks to the glutton's tavern!

02/04/2024: Easter lunch booked only based on the reviews as I'm not local and I was passing through Pesaro for the Easter weekend. I think it is somewhat overrated: good ingredients are not enough to make a restaurant good, nor even an artistic presentation to make a dish special. Then the location is absolutely claustrophobic, at -1 of an ancient building, without even a window. High prices: unacceptable to pay €5 for a coffee capsule, €13 for a flute of local prosecco and €5 for a cover charge. They offered a fixed menu at €65 to attract customers, and then took a disproportionate sum from the additional items. I wouldn't go back, they were unfair

01/04/2024: I ate in this place with my partner on Easter day, we ate really well! Dishes cooked to perfection, the lamb in particular was excellent. From the food to the wine and the alcohol, everything was of the highest quality. Our reference waitress was a girl of Apulian origin, very kind and in general all the staff were extremely kind and helpful for every request.

29/03/2024: The place is really beautiful: bright and with attention to many details, the location is amazing, surrounded by nature, overlooking the sea and with a "secret" internal garden. Wide choice of wines but above all fish-based cuisine, the point of reference in the area for those who want to eat well and not the usual barbecue. Welcoming and prepared staff. Prices absolutely in line with the quality of service and food, I often recommend it

01/04/2024: An unexpectedly found restaurant that turned out to be the best of all those toured in the Fano area in the last 10 years. Lunch table for 18 people on Easter Monday à la carte menu. An arduous test to pass! Let me start by saying that we are all quite demanding and lovers of good food. Full restaurant. We ate better than anywhere else on any other day of the year. Excellent food, well balanced flavours, very fresh fish, very well prepared plating, right portions at a fair price. Impeccable service. Only the owner with his availability and friendliness is worth the trip. We will be back soon.

01/04/2024: What a beautiful day!!😍 What a wonderful experience at the California Restaurant in Marotta! The charm of the angry sea, the location just a stone's throw away so you can fully enjoy it. We were welcomed with great kindness and the staff immediately demonstrated excellent attention to detail… Noticing our helmets and immediately finding a suitable place to store them safely, for example! The food was of excellent quality, with exceptional grilled and fried dishes that conquered our palate. The sea view was simply fabulous, and with the addition of the magnificent breeze, the atmosphere was truly enchanting. The seafood menu offered a variety of delicious dishes, including polenta with fish, a unique dish that reflects the culinary spirit of this restaurant. The staff was not only professional but also extremely pleasant, making the experience even more enjoyable. We really appreciated their flexibility in changing our table mid-service...to allow us to enjoy the sea breeze during lunch! An availability that really surprised us! I highly recommend the California Restaurant for a gastronomic experience of quality and tradition, a breathtaking view and impeccable service. Thanks to the owner and staff for making our visit so memorable! We will absolutely be back very soon! Thank you❤️

01/04/2024: RUDE, ARROGANCE, POOR QUALITY. they have the courage to call a large dish seafood credité two oysters placed on a cross... They have the courage to call the dish GRAN GRILLIATA DI MARE, A SHRIMP, HALF ARTICHOKE, HALF PEPPER AND TWO SQUID WHICH WERE OTHERWISE BREADED. not to mention the baked sea bream which looked like it had been boiled with lots of slop... FOR THE MONEY YOU SPEND I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.

01/04/2024: FAR BELOW EXPECTATIONS. The star goes for the location. It was a special occasion and I had booked a table with a sea view, but the person who seated us pretended not to understand my request, accompanying us to a central table. Halfway through dinner I was called on my cell phone by the restaurant to see if I would arrive for dinner: too bad I was already seated... they had the wrong surname. When they realized the misunderstanding, they belittled it and did nothing to apologize for the inconvenience. Beyond this, the food is absolutely not up to the level of the location. Raw dishes of poor quality and quantity. Great grilled fish: 3 pieces in a cross breaded in breadcrumbs (see photo). Waiters were kind and well-prepared, but forced to go around the entire restaurant with food trolleys that bumped into our table several times. The dessert one was also dusty and very bulky. When paying, I pointed out the initial mix-up and was arrogantly told: "Do you want to continue!?" An unpleasant experience to say the least. After leaving the restaurant I was joined by another customer who complained about the food and wanted to share her equally poor dinner with us. It's really a shame, because the location deserves impeccable service and superior food.

01/04/2024: We were given a €250 voucher for this restaurant and we had to add another €150, reaching €400, for two tasting menus, one of the least expensive bottles of wine and some water. I'm sorry, but for me it's absolutely not worth it. Not liking fish very much, before going I had called asking if it was possible to replace the fish dishes with meat dishes and I was told absolutely yes while once I arrived I was told that some fish dishes could not be changed. Why was I told only once there and not before? I didn't like the behavior at all, it seemed like a bit of a rip-off to me. Furthermore, you are FORCED to take the same tasting menu as the people you are at the table with. For me, ABSURD is an understatement, someone spends €400 between two and is forced to eat what they say? People have different tastes and should be free to take what they want, especially if they pay certain amounts. But for what then? Why can't the waiter describe two dishes instead of one? Also because no description of the dish is better than a nursery rhyme learned and recited by heart. Furthermore, €17 was randomly charged on the bill, I think because different dishes were made for me compared to the tasting menu, as I didn't like fish. Well, this is also absurd, they bring me dishes with fish even though I don't like it (having called before and made sure that we could have a menu without fish, they force me to choose the same menu as my boyfriend and yet I have to pay €17 more for the menu which is already very expensive? It seems like a way to make even more money. Furthermore, I ate almost nothing of practically all the dishes because I really didn't like them and they noticed it because it was so obvious. I would have appreciated that after 8 dishes you see that I can't eat anything you ask me, well, do you want a plate of spaghetti, even plain, I don't know, instead nothing, I was very sorry on a human level. I'm sorry because we went for my birthday thinking we were on the safe side, but instead it was a terrible experience. For what you pay, in my opinion there are much nicer restaurants with much greater attention and respect for the customer.

07/04/2024: We were there on Easter Monday 2024 and had a great time despite it being fully booked. The service was excellent, the staff were very kind and super helpful. The food was really excellent and plentiful. Definitely worth returning and a place that I have already recommended to several friends....

07/04/2024: Since I don't like boiled eggs, I still wanted to try the house specialty with crispy bacon (Guancini pizza). Well it was delicious 😋 Then the cup with strawberries and mascarpone concluded our lunch on a high note. We will definitely return when we are in the area 😉
