A wonderful dinner at Galeone in Fano. The tasting menu is all about fish, and every course is spot on: standouts among the starters include pink shrimp with pistachio and oyster with gin and cucumber, followed by a memorable first course—sea bass and prawn tortelloni with scorpionfish sauce—and a perfectly cooked turbot with beurre blanc. Chef Marco Vegliò has a precise hand and no frills: the raw ingredients are evident in every dish. In the dining room, his wife Valeria, maître d' and sommelier, expertly curates the wine pairings—from the Valturio Metodo Classico to the Thanisch Riesling with octopus, to the Frescobaldi Alìe: glasses chosen with the judgment of those who know what they're doing. And a special mention to Gioia and Irene, always gracious and highly skilled: attentive and warm service from start to finish. A place where fish and wine are sought and found. I will definitely be back — highly recommended.

A sublime experience. A menu that showcases local and seasonal produce. Raw ingredients expertly and creatively crafted by the chef. A wide selection of wines. Top-notch ambiance and service. A well-deserved 5 stars!

I'd like to point out that I came to Al Galeone in Fano for the first time after a thorough search for the typical brodetto. Unfortunately, from the outside, it's impossible to imagine the quality of the restaurant, which is clearly evident as soon as you enter the hotel lobby. Given that I have a professional background with thirty years of fine dining under my belt, I'll immediately say that this restaurant, even if it weren't the owners' full intention, has all the makings of a Michelin-starred restaurant due to its service, food quality, and wine list. This would be a bit disappointing, as I've already decided that every year, like this time, we'll make this restaurant a regular stop, which I hope will become a long-standing tradition for years to come. If my predictions come true, alas, the only thing that will weep will be my wallet. I extend my best wishes to all the staff at this restaurant, wishing them all the best in their future endeavors. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking seafood cuisine that still manages to maintain a perfect balance between natural ingredients, creativity, and modern techniques.
