03/05/2025: We were in this cosy restaurant in April 2025, it was a really amasing experience. All staff was very professional, all courses was super delicious. It was my birthday and their surprise with delicious cookies and candles was very satisfying. Probably the best thing in Genova was "The Cook"
28/04/2025: I gave my parents a dinner at "The Cook" restaurant, carefully choosing a specific tasting menu, mainly based on fish, present on the restaurant's website. The experience was a special gift and, considering the significant expense (around 400 euros for two people), I expected the agreed menu to be respected.
With great regret I discovered that, at the time of dinner (last Friday), the menu had been completely changed, without any warning. Even today, on the restaurant's official website, the menu I had chosen months ago is online, which can easily mislead those who want to give a precise experience with attention to detail, as in my case.
However, I would like to underline that my parents were very satisfied with the quality of the dinner they received, the refined environment and the attentive and professional service. However, I believe it is incorrect and not very transparent not to update the online menu or, at least, not to notify the customer of any changes, especially in a high-end restaurant context where expectations - rightly - are very high.
A good experience overall, but with a bitter initial disappointment that could have easily been avoided with a little more clarity.

17/05/2025: Excellent restaurant, good food based mainly on fish and kind staff, located a few steps from the sea and the Arenzano promenade. The premises are a bit small, reservations are required. Parking area a bit difficult, there are not many in the area and almost all are paid. Recommended

25/05/2025: We had lunch yesterday, after an Alpine ceremony. Nice, bright and very clean place. We ate fish. Everything was very good, fast and friendly service. Honest bill. I will definitely go back on occasion.

04/05/2025: I recently went to the Gino restaurant and unfortunately the experience was mixed. We arrived around 9.30pm, and I understand that it was late, but one of the girls in the room greeted us coldly and with an unfriendly attitude, as if she didn't want us there. Even the way the dishes were served was hasty and careless. Furthermore, even though we were several people, they brought us very few slices of bread, sometimes even dry, which gives the impression of little attention towards the customer. On the positive side, the gentleman in the room - and I presume the owner of the restaurant - were much more friendly and welcoming, trying to make us feel at ease. Unfortunately, during dinner I also noticed a cockroach coming out of the kitchen, which really upset me and I sincerely hope it didn't come into contact with the dishes. It's a real shame, because the place has potential, but the welcome, the service and above all the hygiene could definitely be improved.

06/04/2025: Questo posto è da evitare se volete cenare dopo le 21.....sul sito è segnalata l'ora di chiusura alle 23.59 peccato che questa sera alle 21.34 non avevano più nulla per cenare....eravamo in due quindi non una folla ma già alla vista degli avventori nel locale avremmo dovuto capire l'andazzo.....4 persone..... considerato il paese di mare e considerato che ora siamo in una pizzeria in provincia di Alessandria che chiude alle 24 mi stupisce la cosa....

22/05/2025: Trattoria fuori dal solito lungomare dedicata a menù argentini. Personale molto simpatico e competente, carne con tagli inusuali per l’Italia ma veramente fantastici per sapore consistenza: la carne si scioglie in bocca. Provato Malbec ottimo come accompagnamento. Dolci argentini ovviamente per finire al meglio

15/11/2024: Exceptional! We ate very well the mix of anchovies and the creamed cod as appetizers, a first course and a fried fish. Friendly and very helpful staff. Reasonable price for quantity/quality. I highly recommend this restaurant.
