A unique experience! Excellent staff! Amazing food!

A surprising experience, better than other Michelin-starred restaurants. The tasting menu—we chose the seasonal one—was perfectly paired with quality wines, especially the dessert wine. The artistic presentation of the dishes ties in wonderfully with their complex and unique flavors, even though the menu doesn't neglect the simplicity and quality of Genoa's culinary traditions. The staff is young but knowledgeable and pays great attention to detail. Despite the elegant atmosphere, they managed to make us feel at ease and even teach us something. The breathtaking location is perfect for those who love palaces and frescoes. Don't miss out on coffee at the end of the meal! It's different from the classic espresso, but above all, it comes with a box of excellent small pastries. I'm adding just a few photos (but not all) so as not to spoil the surprise. You absolutely must try it!

We were in this cosy restaurant in April 2025, it was a really amasing experience. All staff was very professional, all courses was super delicious. It was my birthday and their surprise with delicious cookies and candles was very satisfying. Probably the best thing in Genova was "The Cook"

I treated my parents to a dinner at "The Cook" restaurant, carefully selecting a special tasting menu, primarily seafood, available on the restaurant's website. The experience was a special gift, and given the significant expense (about €400 for two people), I expected the agreed-upon menu to be respected. I was deeply disappointed to discover that, at the time of the dinner (last Friday), the menu had been completely changed, without any prior notice. Even today, the restaurant's official website still features the menu I had chosen months ago, which can easily mislead those seeking a personalized and meticulously crafted experience, as was my case. I would like to emphasize, however, that my parents were very satisfied with the quality of the dinner they received, the refined atmosphere, and the attentive and professional service. However, I believe it would be unfair and lacking in transparency not to update the online menu or, at the very least, not to notify customers of any changes, especially in a fine dining setting where expectations—rightly—are extremely high. A good experience overall, but with a bitter initial disappointment that could have easily been avoided with a little more clarity.
