Gradola In Anacapri

We were warmly welcomed. The staff was quite helpful. Only at the restaurant were we snubbed for a table of rowdy people. Guests pay the same and are all equal. The beach staff was excellent.

You can usually tell within a minute whether a restaurant is happy to see a table of fifteen. We walked in straight off a boat, sunburned, hungry, and carrying just enough sea salt to season lunch ourselves. The welcome couldn’t have been warmer. The view earns its reputation, but once the food started arriving it stopped competing for attention. The seafood linguine was rich without being heavy, the seafood tasted as fresh as you’d hope, and the calamari fritti was the best I’ve had anywhere. I’m not sure that’s a title it will give up anytime soon. Big portions, kind people, and cooking that feels like someone genuinely cares who’s sitting at the table. That’s a combination worth coming back for.

The food was absolutely excellent, with dishes that combine technical mastery and authentic flavors. The staff amazed us with their courtesy and professionalism, and Antonino deserves special recognition. With rare sensitivity, he was able to recommend each table, almost intuitively interpreting the personal tastes of each guest. This attention to detail elevates the entire culinary experience. Gradola is undoubtedly a restaurant we highly recommend and one we'll want to return to. Anacapri has a new gem to offer.
