12/12/2025: We just visited this restaurant to enjoy a typical Calabrian dinner like Milanese. We'd read excellent reviews, which is why we chose it. We were delighted with both the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel at home. Highly recommended.

24/11/2025: A name that's a guarantee! Zia Elvira is truly excellent. This was the umpteenth time I returned to them for their exquisite fish dishes. I can't wait to return.

09/11/2025: We ate with friends, everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The owners were friendly and very kind, I met the pastry chef Angelo and I must say he is very sweet. Overall, I highly recommend it.

08/11/2025: A really lovely restaurant! The owner is incredibly friendly and gives you a warm welcome. Delicious food at a fair price. The location isn't entirely accurate on Maps, which is why we didn't find it right away, but it's well worth the effort.

21/11/2025: A nice place without too many frills, the decor a bit spartan. The wait staff is friendly and cheerful. The food is EXCELLENT and QUALITY, with a wide selection and truly delicious ingredients. The only complaint about the APPETIZERS is that they're very LARGE and varied, but they're served quickly, and at large tables it's hard to keep up with them. The first courses are GOOD.

02/11/2025: Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food was completely bland and tasteless — honestly something worse than terrible. The atmosphere felt like a wedding hall, with no warmth or character, and during our meal The Simpsons were playing loudly on the TV, which totally ruined the mood. The service was fairly good, but not enough to save the experience. The prices were outrageously high for the quality offered. I honestly wonder how there can be so many positive reviews — or if there’s something I’m missing.

28/09/2025: I have been there and continue to go.... I have celebrated my wedding promise, baptism, my daughter's first birthday and many other occasions and have always had a great time.

09/09/2025: Delicious local food, a family-run atmosphere with very friendly staff ready to accommodate every need. Compared to all the exorbitant prices you hear about at Lido Gelsomino, the prices are more than affordable. It will be my vacation spot again next year.

29/11/2025: It was my first time dining here. The place is gorgeous and welcoming. Decorated with objects found on fishing boats and swordfish. The chairs are sea blue. It's what I call a seaside restaurant, which Reggio Calabria truly is. Truly beautiful. The owner is very welcoming and attentive. The staff is very professional and attentive to everything. The menu is excellent, both for the quality of the food and the execution of the dishes. I recommend it and will definitely return.

29/10/2025: I don't often write restaurant reviews, but we had the best meal of our holiday here – almost fine dining, and at very reasonable prices. The historic building is truly a gem among Scilla's already beautiful architecture, and dining on the airy terrace overlooking the sea is particularly lovely. But what really made the evening special was the incredibly warm and welcoming sommelier, who guided us through the evening with charm and humor and clearly knows his stuff – even if you only order a single wine by the glass! Thank you for a wonderful last evening in Calabria. We'll be back!

24/10/2025: On our walk through the beautiful Chianalea neighborhood, we discovered this restaurant. It can be a bit annoying to climb a long staircase to reach the wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, but the effort is worth it because the views from there are magnificent. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated. This carefully curated setting helped us achieve a very high level of gastronomic pleasure. We found the swordfish steaks to be very well seasoned and full of flavor. The tomato and burrata salad was a perfect accompaniment. The tomatoes tasted real, which is hard to find. Pizzo's truffle was perfectly cooked: we thought it was delicious. We paired the meal with a very smooth Greco Calabrian white wine. Both the maitre d' and the rest of the staff were impeccable in their work.

25/09/2025: The location is cute, clean, and very tidy, with both indoor and outdoor tables. We chose the outdoor area, which was a great idea because it's surrounded by a green garden with nautical decorations, a combination we really liked. We weren't very hungry, so we went straight to the main course. The swordfish rolls were really good, with a delicate flavor, very pleasant and refined. The mixed fried fish, consisting of mixed seafood, shrimp, and red sole, coated in a very thin batter, was also crispy and very fresh. The staff were friendly, it wasn't crowded or noisy, and the music was soft and pleasant. For two main courses, a water, a coffee, and a cover charge, we paid less than €50. Since the restaurant is located on a small, fairly narrow street, I recommend parking on the main road, where there is free parking.

24/09/2025: For us, it's always been a constant. In the cool, quiet garden, unpretentious cuisine, yet deliciously rich and made with excellent local produce, can complement any friendly, often family, conversation, because ultimately, you also feel like a guest of a friendly and welcoming family. The service is discreet, precise, and punctual.
